After United Airlines stranded us in Houston for a night, we booked a night here and ultimately had a wonderful stay. Insanely convenient to get to-and-from the airport: you hop on a tram for <5 mins which is connected directly to the airport. Front desk staff was helpful and efficient in getting this completed. The room and bed were comfortable, spacious, and clean. Great blackout curtains made the room nearly 100% dark. We got stranded on our layover late, and it was great to have the hotel restaurant stay open until 12am. The food there was just okay - but good selection and not too surprising for an airport hotel. Stay away from the pool area (at least when we stayed), it was buzzing with swarms of massive wasps. This is our only "complaint," and for all I know this is typical of this area in Texas. Thank you for a great stay!

Bathroom extraction vents didn't work and maintenance weren't able to fix despite trying their best (they were good!). Their recommendation was for me to move rooms, but there wasn't any availability so I was stuck with the issue. Made the bathroom practically unusable. AC was also very weak and could barely cool the room down. Hotel was kind enough to let me cancel my booking without penalty early into my stay. That was a nice gesture. The hotel is very outdated, carpets are stained, furniture is worn down. Cleanliness is good, however, we did spot a dead cockroach just chilling in the middle of the hallway one day, and as one guest said "Where there's one, there's many".

My stay at the Marriott was okay to say the least. Needed a room for a overnight layover back to Austin from Guatemala City with my daughter. At the beginning, had some issues at check in due to my ID picture and the Asian dude made a snarky remark towards me booking under my child’s name because I looked younger in the photo…I understand ID issues will happen, however, a simple “do you have another ID” will suffice without being blatantly rude about it. I did happen to use it internationally and got in and out of the country without issues so it was a bit annoying to say the least. The rest of the stay went off without a hitch. Got charged for a water bottle in the room but that was expected. I did review the breakfast brochure that was left in our room and although it seems convenient, make sure you read the fine print before ordering. They will add a 20% service fee as well as tip which will add on to an already expensive room. There is a restaurant in the hotel, which I ended up not eating at. They have a little convenience store next to the front desk as well for those wanting snacks or drinks, even get things like hygienic products. The room was very clean and the bed was super comfortable to sleep in, and slept like a log all night. Shower doors was glass and see through which looks nice, but has no place to sit and bathe for those who like to bathe. All in all, definitely recommend staying if you need a room for the night due to a layover. It is a bit pricey, so for those on a budget, I recommend eating out somewhere instead of dining at the hotel. Bring an extra ID just in case.

This was exactly what we needed. The room was very clean and everything worked as it should. The air conditioning fan makes just enough noise that the sound of airplanes taking off wasn't bothersome. Check in was quick. The location in the airport airport was perfect for our 12-hour layover. A tram which goes to all of the terminals has a stop right below the hotel. It's not high-end luxury, but that's okay.

This hotel never disappoints. Easy to walk to from the terminal. Marriott owned (not franchise). Rooms are always clean and picture perfect. Staff is always 100%. They do a great job operating the M Club lounge and attention to Elite members. The hotel restaurant has great food with decent size portions. Can be busy in the evening with people coming from the airport (non guests). Every time I stay at this location, always leave with a positive experience.

Let's get this out of the way....this is not a cheap hotel. Hotels that are actually connected to the airport never are. It is the price of convenience. In this case it is price well worth paying. The location is great. The little monorail thing downstairs takes you to ALL terminals which is helpful. The hotel itself is beautiful. The food options are limited but that is why God gave us Uber Eats which delivers right downstairs. The lounge is amazing. Ask for a room that overlooks the terminals and watch the planes.

These people take convenience seriously. I mean it's a two way street. You in convenience them you will pay for it. But if you are inconvenienced by them, they will own up to it and comp you on the spot. They were amazing, helpful and super nice. We were in a tight spot by the terrible spirit airlines that cancelled our connecting flight on the way home and left us stranded 800 miles from home for a whole day. We had to book this hotel late and last minute. They upgraded our room to a jr suite and even gave us an awesome rate on staying a few hours past check in. This hotel knows what "good business" means. I recommend anyone having to stay a day in Houston, do it here. They got all the stuff you need, even a pool. You want a staff that treats you like a customer should be treated.

Christine and Desmond are particularly standouts but ALL the staff were super helpful and warm. The hotel’s convenience cannot be overstated. It’s QUIET for an airport hotel. Very comfy bed and very nice pool along with a well equipped gym. Had a turkey BLT for lunch which was super tasty. Frittata from room service in the morning, also excellent. Love this place!

Convenient airport right next to the airport. Our flight got canceled and then was rescheduled for the next day so this was perfect for us. It was quite pricey though and not something we would normally pay but we were desperate and tired. The good thing about it is that there is an underground tram from the airport directly to the hotel. You can walk there too in the same tunnel but we were sure how safe it would be. But as we were riding the tram, the tunnel is well lit and there was 1 or 2 people walking. As for the room, it was your typical room, not much special. Due to our luggage being checked in for our flight, we were very limited with what we had. We did call down and ask for hotel slippers and they said that someone would bring it right up, but no one showed up at all. This was very disappointing as I was expecting a lot from a Marriott hotel. We would of called back but it was late already and we were extremely tired from a long day. I was actually very surprised by how well insulated the room was with keeping the noise out. Being right next to the airport, we did not hear any planes at all. In the morning, we tried their breakfast buffet which consisted of the normal eggs, sausages, premade omelet or freshly made omelet, cereal, bagels, muffins, fresh fruit, etc. It was quite nice but for the $28 price, extremely overpriced. If you don't mind the $200/night price, this is a decent place with a nice outdoor pool in the courtyard. I only gave it 1 star deduction for the missing room slippers.

Great hotel as far as convenience is concerned. A little dated but seems well maintained. Front staff could definitely do better directing people to their rooms. Telling a family with suitcases and two strollers to ride an escalator to reach the rooms elevators is a bit ridiculous. Fortunately, we found a staff and ADA elevator to avoid having to haul belongings on the escalator twice. Also failed to receive “guaranteed requests” such as a tub/shower bathroom. Overall minor issues and would use again.

This truly has to be one of the best run Marriotts in the US, and certainly my favorite location at an airport. I have stayed at this property multiple times over the years, and the experience is 100% consistently great, which is unusual in today's times unfortunately. There is clearly excellent management of this hotel and it shows in every aspect from the cleanliness, to their attention to guest customer service and experience, and the exceptional food that they provide in their onsite restaurant. I dined in the hotel restaurant twice today during my stay, once for lunch and another time for dinner, and Patti provided us with world-class service! She is an absolute delight and took excellent care of us. She is very talented at her craft! The food was exceptional and it was matched by amazing service! I would strongly recommend this property to any travelers that are in the Houston area and looking for excellent hotel accommodations. Patti and the property will not disappoint!

I really like how easy the hotel makes early morning traveling but to me, it was a pretty average hotel. I don’t recall what I paid for it but I do remember it was too much for my liking - but it only took us about 5-10min to get to security (which is helpful because I am not a morning person). There was hardly any reception to our phones (maybe that’s just our service provider?) and when trying to connect to the WiFi it looked like we had to pay for it and to me, that wasn’t really worth it for the short time that we would be there. The receptionist we worked with was polite and quick and the checkout process was really easy.

Staff was extremely courteous, from the check in to restaurant! This however if not your typical Marriott, it is very outdated and the pool itself is a super 8 style. Disappointing for sure for a Marriott brand.

Inside of IAH airport, and directly connected. Breakfast could have been better. But the member lounge was very good and had good selection of drinks and snacks. Best part is not having to take a hotel shuttle as you can walk right into the terminal. They have some really nice suites here, but I don't see guests staying longer than a night as you're out by the airport and not near downtown. But for airport use, it's great.

I stayed in the south tower and unfortunately even though the room and bed were comfortable I was not able to sleep until the people in the next room went to sleep because there was NO sound proofing. I could hear every word of their conversation. They were not doing anything wrong but because of the inadequate sound proofing it was as if they were in MY room having a conversation Therefore I did not get a restful sleep. Also I ordered room service which was a bit slow.

The Classic Marriott Experience. We had a layover at IAH and decided to stay here for the night. Kole and the front desk staff were awesome, easy to locate the room and hotel, clean, and great rooms! The beds were comfortable and the room was clean, the hotel was very big, and the restaurant food was delicious! It is also a convenient shuttle ride and walk to the hotel from any of the concourses. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Standard fare for a Marriott hotel but one thing this place can’t be beat is the location. The rooms are clean but decor slightly dated. Well insulated from outside noise so you can’t hear planes taking off (although you can hear car traffic). Easy access from the airport without having to go outside. The Houston airport has an below ground subway (actually it feels more like a kid’s ride) that shuttles you directly from all the terminals to the hotel. Runs throughout the day except between 12-3am. Alongside the subway is a carpeted walkway that you can use 24/7 to walk from the terminals to the hotel. M Lounge (their version of the executive lounge) is located on the lobby level and open 24 hours with bottled water and snacks. Gym also located on lobby level near the main entrance. Only negative thing is the front desk isn’t very well staffed. Most times when I came down to the lobby there was only 1 person at the desk despite lines of people waiting to check in.

Way to expensive for a few hours' stay. It's in the airport, so that's great, but traveling from overseas and needing a quick shower and nap for that price is mind-blowing. No wonder people are sleeping in the subway. Which is unsafe. The bar and lounge was excellent, great staff, food on point, and not overly priced.

If you need to stay at or close to the airport, this is your best choice. The location is perfect with just short walk or mono rail ride to the terminals! Very clean room with a great mattress and the restaurant has good and reasonable choices! Breakfast buffet in the morning is great as well!

Early check in and lunch at the bar/restaurant was good. On the down side our room has a sliding door to the outside and despite being completely closed and locked, the cold winter air is definitely finding its way in. Understandably the hotel is full with canceled flights, however I've requested an extra blanket four separate times over the last three hours with no luck. 🥶🙁

This was a scheduled layover, and hotel is very convenient. Great staff. Rooms are good but old. Did not have a chance to try food service, but as I passed late in the evening patrons seemed happy… :) Subtract a star for the train not running in the morning and having to do a very long shuttle ride. That could have cost me my plane and no info was given ahead of time.

Was a good stay overall, but expected more from the Marriott and the price of our stay. Between the convenience store, the lobby restaurant, and any other amenities not included in our already expensive accommodation price, overall everything was over priced and not worth it in my opinion. It's very clear COVID is still causing a lot of problems with jobs in Houston and everyone is understaffed and struggling, even companies like Marriott with more capitol to keep them afloat. Was nice, but honestly not worth the price and the service was very lacking as if there's no leader and everyone is just running around trying to figure out things on their own.

Turns out this is a very nice venue. Rooms are modern, clean and well-appointed. The food and service at the restaurant is great. Reasonably priced and Donna is a hoot. And to access the terminals, passengers simply have embark on the subway.

The M-Club here should be the model for Marriott worldwide. The people were nice and they really bailed us out. Our flight was cancelled and they treated us very nicely. Our luggage was lost and they had toothbrushes and toothpaste right there so we didn't have to do without. Best Marriott experience in a while.

I had a great time here. I will say don't be tricked into the breakfast buffet bc they made no mention of it having a fee until I had already sat down. I made it at the very end so I surely didn't get my $30 worth. Everything is up to date and very clean. I lost my phone and lost prevention was very diligent in helping me locate it.

The layout to get to the hotel is a bit complicated and also felt claustrophobic. But the location cannot be beat. Made it easy to make my 6am flight without having to get up too early. The auto-curtains were really cool and the whole building had a fun vibe to it. I was also very pleased that I couldn't hear the plane noise all night. So whatever sound dampening and light filtering they did are spot on.

The only good thing about this hotel is the location (assuming you have an overnight connection at the airport). I used my Suite Night rewards to upgrade and ended up in a "suite" in name only. It was a standard room connected to what seemed like business meeting/breakout room. The M Club was also empty of snacks and the good coffee maker there was "being serviced". Still crossing fingers for breakfast before tomorrow's flight but not holding my breath.

Perfect hotel! Located at the same terminal, just take the tram from the main terminals and it has its own stop. I booked this hotel because we had a connecting flight the next day. Rooms is super clean, beds are amazing soft… but the best is the breakfast buffet healthy fresh and delicious!

  • 5/5 Merika B. 2 years ago on Google
The front desk staff was super friendly. The rooms were clean. We had a waitress at the flight restaurant Donna that was truly amazing and just so pleasant as she waited on our large group of people who came at different times and the food was delicious.

Unfortunately I had been charged 3 times over for the same room, and while my bank resolved the issue the staff Mia, Daniel and May (god I hope I remember their names right!!!) had comped us for 3 meals and the breakfast next morning as well as snacks! The hotel room was clean and they were so appalled at the fact, they had no clue what was going on. However, it was resolved the next morning, and their food in their bar was fantastic!

I would stay here again. The overall interior of the hotel and the room were nice given the age of the hotel. The bed was very comfortable. Shower was nice. Didn’t hear too much plane noise, but an occasional one here or there. The staff at the restaurant were great. Food was good. The only negative - I think the room rate and the food were overpriced.

Such a convenient place to stay when traveling in or out of Bush international. Attached to the airport which is really nice, especially in the winter. Fun restaurant/bar where you can relax and enjoy a nice meal. Clean, comfortable room.

It's a slap in the face to take a king suite for the night and then be asked to pay for internet. Yes I could give them my email to join some program to get it free but... Guys. It's 2022. Give me a break. The lowest hotel I can imagine gives free wifi. This just feels like some stone age corporate policy still playing tapes from 1995. I don't care how opulent the room is: charge for a basic service and get ridiculed in the reviews. On another note, the shower in the opulent room requires you to either stand in a cold shower while the water warms up, or squeeze between the toilet and the shower door to turn the shower on without getting soaked with cold water. What sort of tube designed this? The lady at the front desk cheerfully informed me that the registration desk I had arrived at was for the gift shop only, before scampering away. So I moved to the next identical, undifferentiated, empty desk to the left and waited. Great location. But not as premium as they think they are. Competition would help them.
