Front desk service was friendly and great location. BUT!!! We had 2 rooms. The rooms were kind of dirty, with dust in the corners. The bathrooms had a sewer smell and one of the toitles had a brown dust on the bottom (it was not poop, it was more like metal residue.

I wish I would've read the reviews before I booked here. The outside of the hotel was nice, but it is outdated on the inside. The mini fridge in our room didn't work, and to our surprise there was a roach living in it. The bathroom was small and outdated. The air conditioner didn't work well either. It's also very noisy all night into the early morning. Sounded as if the people above us were going to fall through the floor at any given minute. The bed was super uncomfortable. I woke up with backaches. Our two day stay was hot, and aggravating. I DEFINITELY wont be going back! I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Stayed here 11/05-11/08. It was a overall bad experience. It smells bad in the hotel overall. Room and the lobby. The pillows, sheets, and shower were dirty. The towels were dirty. We asked that they clean the shower, it never was clean. I went to use the microwave, and there was a moldy to go container with chicken and eggs in it. They don't clean the rooms, besides changing linens, if that. Breakfast was mid, they only serve boiled eggs, make sure your sausage is brown and not grey. They will not contact any hotel manager for you. Cheap price, cheap service, and cheap experience. Also our room had fleas

For starters I’m a travel healthcare worker and I booked here, before coming to Houston. The outside smells like urine, but hey it’s outside right! The lobby smells like old dirty mop rags. The first room I was given, on the first floor, was filthy! The bath tub was dirty with hair in it, the toilet had hair on it, the floor had bugs and nuts on it, and the window shade was duct taped together! When I asked for a new room I was given one on fourth floor opposite end of hotel. I walked in and it appeared to be ok, until I went in the bathroom and there was long hair on the floor in there as well. There was stuff on the shower walls and stuck on nail polish or something on the tub. Being 1 am I just sucked it up because I had to be at work at 6am. When I got off and walked into the new room there were roaches on the sink scattering after I turned the light on. There was also baby roaches crawling on the night stand. There was also some spider crawling on the tv stand. I was never able to speak with the owner. I was told he would be giving me a partial refund. Although I don’t think that was sufficient I didn’t argue. But instead of getting a refund he charged me again for the full price AGAIN! With no refund insight. When I called the owner still wouldn’t speak with me, because he was in a “meeting” the only thing offered was to correct the issue. I have nothing as of now via email equally I have to stay longer than expected and my money is tied up in the worst hotel ever! DO NOT BOOK HERE‼️‼️ the desk staff was nice however.

Close to downtown is probably the only plus. Otherwise it is below average. One towel per room for our family (you can ask for more, but you need to go down to the lobby to collect them). Breakfast is pretty bad: how can you spoil the boiled eggs and coffee? (You can make a waffle or go to Starbucks across the street to get breakfast). The highway is super loud even with the windows closed. Overall, not recommended.

Room was dirty, bed was dirty with hair and yellow piss marks on the beds sheet. I thought it was a error. When down stairs ask for a different room. Soon as same got another 424 and that was dirty as well. Asked for clean sheets and pillow cases to change but there were no extras. Do NOT recommend this place I just checked in tonight @1040ish pm I was going to stay for 3 night I'll be taking my money somewhere

The lady at the front is rude and refuses to give information about the manager. Checked into our room which was filled with bugs and dirty liens, was moved to two other rooms which again had dirty... hair filled sheets and yellow stains. Asked for clean lines and pillow cases and they didn't have any extras in the laundry room but they did have the washing machines over flowed with liens. I do not recommend this hotel and to add the lock on my door was not up to code so of course I had to make it secure since I had my babies with me.

Location is horrible! Lots of homeless in front who hang out all day and night! They come in for free breakfast then leave to hand outside. Rooms are clean and affordable. Front desk ladies are nice and helpful.

3.5 is what I would rate them!! recently stayed at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Houston NW Brookhollow, which I booked through Walmart+ Travel for $85 for one night in a non-smoking king room. The staff was friendly and attentive. However, I did notice a bit of an unpleasant odor on the main floor, but it seemed to improve after check-in. The room itself was clean, although I always travel with Lysol, regardless of the star rating. One minor issue was that the TV remote's battery cover was missing, and the TV worked momentarily but later turned off and didn't come back on. Thankfully, I had my iPad with me, and I made use of YouTube TV. I didn't notify anyone about the TV issue since I didn't want to be bothered. One thing to note is that my room was located across from the laundry room and staff area, which was a bit too close for comfort. I would choose a different location next time. there were plenty of shopping options and dining choices in the area. Well light parking area. On the positive side, the pool was nice and clean, and overall, I felt like I got what I paid for during my stay.

Don’t stay here! It’s roach infested and the staff will not help. I have videos and pictures. They will lie and lie about you speaking with a manager. Irons don’t work in the room. Water pressure in shower and sink is low. Hotel stink so bad when you walk in. Staff isn’t friendly at all. Roaches were crawling in the bed and on my son arm. This the worst hotel ever.

Adequate for those with pets. Everything is dirty by the pool. No towels. Room A/C is very outdated and runs poorly. The positive feedback is that it is visually appealing on the outside.

This placed stinker like dog pee. There was cockroaches in my room and the lobby. Breakfast consisted of waffles, bread, croissant, and basic cereal no protein and you have to make your own oatmeal. The upside is it is located by various food places. But this was an awful stay if you can stay somewhere else.

This was one of the remodeled La Quinta. The staff when first entered was not the friendliest. They were short and cold. The lobby was nice but small. Plus it did have a weird mop water smell when walking thru which carried on to the hallways. My room was nice for the price but the pillow cases didn't smell clean or like they had been changed. The ac wasn't cooling that well. But it was good enough to sleep through the night. The breakfast area is a bit hidden and if you didn't see someone else there you wouldn't find it. Wish the breakfast ran till 10 so I could've gotten more sleep. The fitness area was actually really nice. It was really cooled and had everything you needed for a great workout. It's good hotel for the price in Houston.

Dirty low quality rooms. The building looks nice, but rooms are run down compared to corporate locations. My bed have stained bloody sheets and dingy pillow cases. Stained carpets and not soap in room. They switched me to a new room and even that room was low class. Sheets were dingy. House Keepers don’t change the sheets, so make sure you check them.

The receptionist was not friendly at all. There was people living in the hotel with tons of stuff. We didn’t have access to use the luggage carts because it was holding their stuff. The hallway where we stayed smelled like marijuana all day every day and nothing was ever done about it! The beds are not comfortable AT ALL! The only nice employees we encountered were the breakfast ladies. I spent a lot of money for such a terrible experience! We unfortunately had to stay due to no other available nights else where. The rooms are nothing like pictured and cleanliness is not a priority: sheets/walls/towels.

Upon arrival there was a young man sitting in the lobby using a lot of profanity. I was late to an event due to the elevator being stuck. The front desk clerk was very nice and worked on the elevator until she got it to working. The bathroom sink was clogged up. I’ve stayed at a bunch of La Quinta Hotels I can say this is the first I was not pleased. The area appeared not safe and the hotel seemed very old. It wasn’t a comfortable stay but I didn’t bother since I was only there for the night.

They have roaches! I would not want to stay here as a alone as a single one. This is not the best location. Good thing they have a Sonic in the parking lot. I would bring my Lysol just in case...I did. They also have alot of channels on the TV so that's a plus.

Happily surprised with the stay! When checking in, the front desk agent was super friendly and very helpful. The room looked very clean and maintained as well! Yes it is a little bit out dated but for a short stay it is perfect. Especially if you realize that parking and breakfast are included! How wonderful! The price for sure matched the expectations and I would definitely come back again!

Just a older property. Well maintained. But some beaten rooms and some smell of smoke. Good property, 1980 property?

The photo and name are incorrect. This is an old LA Quinta location now a days in. It is a very old dumpy not well maintained inn. TV did not work, bed was worn out, fire alarm beeping. Carpet is filthy and employee spoke very little English or acted as if they did not understand. I asked for my money back and went to a better hotel. Do not let the nice lobby fool you.

This la Quinta in northwest Houston is a great place to stay if your staying in Houston. Renovated new and has a gym that works! Breakfast is from 7-10 am and the room service workers were friendly and gave extra towels. Definitely recommended and is close to downtown HTOWN area as well as surrounding areas

This hotel is GROSS🤮🤮🤮!! Do NOT stay here. The housekeeping staff needs to be terminated EXPEDITIOUSLY!!! The were flipped over dead little roaches... nasty gnats. Hotel stinks like dog pee, family of cats and racoons in the parking lot. Scary looking "Lot Lizzards" hanging out in the lobby and outside coming up to giving crackhead conversation. DON'T DO IT TO YOURSELF PEOPLE!!!

This first time I leave bad review about this hotel… I’ve been in different locations around the nation in Texas and other states and all of them were very good. I wanted to stay in this hotel after my surgery because I live in 3rd floor and can’t go upstairs…. When we arrive to the hotel I asked them for early check in and first they refused and then they said ok will complete the cleaning now. The room we requested during the online reservation was deluxe double room double bed, they gave us one room double bed. The room itself wasn’t clean there was dust that tells it never cleaned up and I couldn’t sleep due to the allergy that started because of the dust. I asked for extra pillow and we got dirty pillows !!!!! Therefore we decided to leave the hotel and go to another one and we didn’t stay more than one night. At the time of leaving we found out the elevator is not working and I had to use the stairs to go down… and it was very difficult to me due to my knee surgery. This will be first and last time to stay in this location and I might not use any of La Quanta hotels in future.

This hotel is so dirty and run down that it should not maintain the La Quinta name. I have always trusted La Quinta to be an affordable and dependable option when away from home, but, this location could not be anything further from that. The lobby smells like dirty mop water, the elevator has chewing gum on the handrail that I accidentally touched and the room itself contains stains on the bed and chair that make me feel like I should wrap myself in saran-wrap before I attempt to touch them. I am beyond disappointed and will only stay this one night.

This is the worst possible place to stay. The room itself was extremely hot. The power always went out and the wifi was constantly out. The pool is about 2ft small, you couldn't possibly try to lounge or be peaceful. The breakfast was terrible. One morning they had moldy bread. Green mold on the bread, uncooked biscuits and sausage and old muffins. They had boiled eggs but like who wants other people touching your eggs? I also just contracted COVID from staying there. If you want to stay in Houston, stay somewhere else. Anywhere is better than this place. The staff is rude, never there when you need them, they always had to redo our keys and the cleaning staff was even worse. I don't want random people in my room everyday. It's not intended for extended stay, but also it's not intended for even an hour stay. Do yourself and your family a favor, don't stay there if you want a great experience, nice staff, or even want to be in a nice neighborhood. If you want to stay with crackheads and think you might get murdered every night, go ahead be my guest.

Not downtown, but still in Houston. This motel has rooms to the hallway vs opening to the immediate outdoors, which I appreciate. Parts.of Houston were experiencing power outages and I was there in a no power location and needed fresh air and my breathing machine. These rooms came standard with iron, hair dryer, 1 cup coffee pot, fridge and microwave. They had a good little breakfast in the morning. It was quiet, and clean. My only concerns were that a door on our floor was not closed but not open, allowing a creepy factor to the hall. I also couldn't locate an ice machine. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. I wasn't disappointed. I also got the best rateavailable, and friendly staff to go with it.
