It was awful. No room service ,every little thing you had to come get yourself and it was very aggravating and annoying. And how could a key card not work?! After about10+ hours the key card doesn’t work and There is no free breakfast at all it’s only coffee CAFFEINE which was not what I was expecting . Pool is green and not open but says it is. It smells like a place with moth balls in it and just smells like a nursing home. And don’t get me started on the bathroom ,first off it has roaches/Ants in the bathroom which is disgusting and the shower is rusted and dirty , if they claim they have cleaners CLEAN! Bed bugs / marks in the bed , they clearly are very cheap to buy soap but sell such expensive items at the front desk. They have spider webs and NO SMOKE DETECTOR?! Anyways don’t recommend ,save your money!

Waited for the shuttle at airport for an hour and never showed had to take a taxi to the hotel. The building is old, paint is coming off from the exterior, when you walk inside there is a wet carpet smell. Took forever to check in when we finally made it to the room the window was broken and someone tried to tape it back together I asked to be moved, the next room also had a broken window and taped. The bathroom was dirty the shower floor and walls had yellow stains. Weird cars and people at parking lot. Could not sleep at night someone had a party at their room, music was loud, people walking in and out slamming the door, laughing and screaming. Next day, no breakfast just old burned coffee. I DO NOT recommend this hotel.

Got booked here because of a missed connection and took about a minute to see everything I needed to. The place looks like some haunted prison from the outside. I was still hopeful as I didn’t want to judge a book by its cover, but once inside I realized I was living in some alternate version of hell. The decor is all falling apart, the staff have a glazed over look in their eyes, and a pungent smell permeates the corridors. Once entering the room, we saw the thickest cockroach on the floor. The only thing missing is Jack from The Shining running after you with his axe and you would have the worlds scariest haunted house. I will say the bedsheets were pressed nicely, though

The bed had a giant lump in the middle, the pillows were 20 years old with cases that didn't fit. The phone was practically taped together and not working and it looks like at some point they had a bed bug problem. A man was outside complaining he couldn't breathe and after an ambulance was called, he asked for a cigarette. This is not in a good neighborhood. The heater worked well, and the staff was very nice. It is very convienient to IAH and has a decent shuttle. Still, I will not return. Two stars because I liked the staff.

The mattress has a dip / slump in the center and I couldn't even take a nap so I know I won't get any sleep if I stay here tonight. I've now got a reservation for Holiday Inn down the road and waiting on the shuttle. I sure hope I can get this credited back to my account. It's unfortunate I had to go get another room because of an old mattress. Tara was very courteous and helpful but it's the accomodations that just don't cut it. Don't waste your money on this hotel with old mattresses.

The bed was comfortable although I truly almost didn’t lay in it. We were given the room by United Airlines due to a missed flight that was on them. Upon entering the lobby, the odor was awful. It smelled like Pine Sol covering up cooked food or dog smell. If I was given a choice, I would’ve turned around and walked right out. Thank God, upon entering our room, it was clean. It appeared as though the furnishings, except for the bed were new, and the floor was clean, and of wood type. The bed, however, as I always check for signs of bugs had very bad stains, where the mattress meets the boxspring and all over the boxspring, I was comforted by my husband’s statement that maybe coffee was spilled on it. After noticing it did not appear to have bugs we decided to stay. The bed was comfortable although it was small for two people. We walked 0.2 miles to Jack-in-the-Box to get something to eat and there were about four or five restaurants within that walking vicinity , in the morning, we took the shuttle to the airport and again if we had no choice we would not have gotten into the van. It was very aged, there was a message on the dashboard, stating the tires needed more air, the engine light was on, and the low fuel light was on. This caused a lot of stress for me on the way to the airport.

The staff that I encountered was amazing, nice and friendly. The location was very convenient, the area was lit well and very close to shops. My stay was pretty good my only complaints are there was no toilet paper in the bathroom, a hole in the shower, the TV had no channels, for some odd reason the adjoining room door was open upon entry in the room and bed linen was dirty and stained. I have a service animal and was told I would still have to pay a pet deposit for her, I've never had to pay a deposit to keep her in a hotel room I'm just required to show her paperwork and I'd like a confirmation that is required.

Pros and Cons: "Pros" are as followed Clean which is a plus Friendly customer service decent area to be in. Peaceful and room prices are reasonable. "Cons" are as followed No breakfast just coffee from 4am- until, It is something like a hole in the wall only 2 doors to enter and exited which can be very dangerous for example what if a fire break out and your on the top floor are a burglary occur. No microwave in the rooms everyone don't want to are cant walk all the way to the front to warm up something. No vending machine you half to get something out their ice box and pay for it through them and it cost $1.25 just for water and $3.00 for a small not a box of hot pockets. But for the most part it was a comfortable stay I've enjoyed every moment.

I had a lovely stay here. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. My only complaint was they need to update the rooms. Nowdays rooms should have at least one spot with USB ports.

Stayed here for work last week and checked out this morning. Good: Airport distance: very close to airport, less then 7 minutes Clean room: they came every other day and cleaned the rooms. Customer Service: went above and beyond Parking: no issues with parking security Bad Requires deposit: $100 deposit ( third party, have a pet, paying with cash Pool: was closed and will be until spring break. No breakfast what so ever Ridiculous prices. If you wanna have food or otc medication, you will be paying airport prices.

Hello there, fellow travelers! I recently stayed at the Red Roof Inn and I wanted to take some time to share my experience with you all. I'll admit that I was a bit hesitant at first to book a room at this hotel due to some negative reviews I had seen online. However, I decided to give it a chance and I'm so glad that I did. To start off, I must say that the staff at this hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my entire visit. From the front desk staff to the housekeeping team, everyone was so accommodating and made me feel very welcomed. This really set the tone for my stay and made me feel comfortable and at home. Additionally, I appreciated the convenient shuttle service that the hotel offers to and from the airport. As someone who doesn't enjoy navigating public transportation in unfamiliar cities, this was a huge plus for me. The shuttle was prompt and the driver was friendly, which made the trip to the hotel a breeze. Now, I know that some previous reviews have mentioned issues with the rooms, but I must say that my experience was nothing short of positive. My room was clean and comfortable, and the bed was surprisingly cozy. I was worried about the heater given some previous reviews, but I was pleased to find that it worked very well and kept the room at a comfortable temperature throughout my stay. I also appreciated the small touches that the hotel provided, such as the complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby and the toiletries in the bathroom. These may seem like small things, but they really make a difference in making guests feel comfortable and taken care of. Lastly, I want to touch on the location of the hotel. While some reviews have mentioned that the hotel is located in a less-than-ideal neighborhood, I must say that I didn't have any issues during my stay. In fact, I found that the hotel was conveniently located near a number of restaurants and shops, which made it easy to explore the area. Overall, I would highly recommend the Red Roof Inn to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in the area. Don't let some negative reviews deter you - my experience was nothing short of positive and I will definitely consider staying here again in the future.

I just stayed for one night for business trip can't say much about place, but had to wait long for coffee as the front desk girl was busy. They do offer a ride to the airport every so often and that is nice.

Being aware that this isn't a premium hotel I'm giving them 5 stars. Desk service was prompt and courteous. I chose it for location right next to Bush Intercontinental Airport and the long term parking. The room was clean and comfortable, all that I needed for a brief overnight stay. NOTE - Travelers needing a wake up call should have an alternative alarm at hand, the wake up system was not working.

Did not honor what was told to us. We ask for a late checkout and was told yes, but the next day the front desk person and cleaning people called and banged on the door like they were the police. Than we was not informed that the shuttle stops at 11:00. Just to much confusion for a 67.00 room, NEVER AGAIN. Cheap gets cheap service

Filthy tattered room. Woman at desk was beyond grumpy. Throughout the entire time I was there it sounded like I was just at the end of a runway where plane after plane takes off. The ONLY positive thing was there was a little strip mall next door with a Mediterranean restaurant that served the best take out food. Their dolmas were fantastic!

This is a basic hotel near the airport that’s an older property in need of maintenance and upgrades. The business computers in the lobby are not working. The light over the toilet was not functioning properly. There are marks and stains on the walls and trim. I wish that I could give it a higher rating but this place is low budget. You get what you pay for I suppose. Thanks so much to United for setting us up in sub standard accommodations after flight delays that were no fault of our own. I would love to be at the Hampton Inn right now!!!!!

In order for me to get a room here I had to pay a $100 deposit, I paid. They also had computer issues that night so they ended up charging me twice for the room. I left in a rush the next morning and didn’t realize I left my deposit. It’s been months. So I contact the hotel and email guest relations and they told me they can’t do anything about it. So I’m out of my $100 deposit.

We made reservations third party as hotel did not answer phone calls of third party booking. "Pet friendly" means 1 pet per guest per room. $200 pet deposit not sure if it is refundable. Website says no thing about one pet only so Red Roof Inn JFK IAH did not check us in with multiple animals. They did charge Us $76 for one night saying it was after midnight before 3 am so they couldn't refund the walk in and walk out as We were not allowed to stay there.

Budget hotel. Staff was okay, they asked for a deposit and said they would return it first thing in the morning. I almost forgot about it, and they didn’t even remind me about it, just took the key, like if they were hoping I don’t ask for it. Another person in reviews did forget about deposit and never got it back. Also floors were oily and nasty. The rest was fine, comfy beds, pretty quiet place.
