Great place to stay if you want all your stuff stolen. This place is targeted by thieves worse than ive ever seen and the hotel does nothing to try to prevent it as though they allow it and take a cut themselves. The employees seem offended when you ask about the subject but did comment "yes vehicles in the parking lot are broken into all the time, it's houston" as though it should be OK. Night one...vehicle broken into, all tools stolen as alarm was blaring and nobody said a word, night two...2006 Chevy truck stolen...this is recent as of mid September 2022. It's one thing to not take responsibility as a hotel but to have no security whatsoever knowing this happens so often on your property is unethical to say the least. There's no cameras because the hotel is probably in on the theft so beware staying here. You'll see broken window glass all over this parking lot as I've pictured here. Draw your own conclusions.

I recently had an experience at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Houston Galleria Area that necessitates a one-star review. Despite promptly canceling a reservation made directly at the front desk due to unforeseen circumstances, I later discovered that my credit card was charged $165.83 for the said reservation. The front desk staff had assured me at the time of cancellation that my card would not be charged. This situation has not only caused unnecessary financial inconvenience but also raises concerns regarding the reliability of their cancellation policy and the security of sharing credit card information with this establishment. I strongly urge potential guests to be vigilant if they anticipate needing a refund or are providing their credit card details to this hotel. My experience suggests that one may need to double-check all transactions and hold the hotel accountable to ensure that charges are accurately reflected and handled.

Don’t stay here. Weird abandoned vibe and smells, no housekeeping, and lack of security/surveillance. Someone broke in and attempted to steal my husbands locked truck in broad daylight and hotel didn’t have any cameras. Choose somewhere else where you can trust that you and your belongings are safe and secure!

I love this property, I stay all the time when I go to Houston. I feel safe, and the property is well maintained. The staff is super friendly. Leon checked me in and he is sweet. Lisa is friendly and so helpful. La Quinta is very lucky to have this team. I travel all the time and love seeing them.

So first thing was that one of the elevators was out of order. The other one was kind of scary to ride in because it would shake. The hallways were so hot! My room never got cleaned. I will definitely not stay there again. Worst hotel ever! Also the bed was hard and uncomfortable!

Not exactly the cleanest room, but then, we're still dealing with the aftereffects of the pandemic. Got a king suite, but the bedroom is right next to the interstate, and is noisy 24/7. We're here to meet family, so the room is adequate, but not excellent. We'll probably stay again, but will try to get a room away from the interstate. Update... the management team has made personal contact, and made sure I was satisfied with the accommodations here. I will definitely be staying here again!

We had a problem with our noisy dog. Lisa, on your front desk was very helpful and understanding in helping us find a suitable kennel for our dog. Lisa is courteous, helpful and a terrific representative of your company. We plan on staying with you again, but without our dog!

They don’t take cashapp cards matter of fact no where does down here. However, The lady at the front desk when we arrived was so helpful and helped us get into a room!! She also helped us navigate how we could get around Houston!! A reminder that people are still kind!!

Quality/Price is good but it lacks of care I think. The place looks definitely old and the moquette should be replaced here and there because it has bad dirty spots, the breakfast food is just standard and outside there were a lot of mosquitos so maybe a treatment would be nice. Overall good but could be better.

I was overly excited to make a reservation at LA Quinta Galleria because of the magnificent experience I had at the LA Quinta International Drive Orlando. However, the customer rep last night (27/09) when I arrived was soooo gracious and pleasant. She made arrangement for me to get a refrigerator and microwave in my room because I have medicine and supplement drinks that needs to be refrigerated. I went down to have breakfast and asked the the customer rep about when I'll get the refrigerator. I was told another story, about if it have and I have to wait for the person to come to work etc. etc. etc. This La Quinta is nothing or close to the experience I had in Orlando. The rooms are sub standard and the corridors smell mouldy, which confuses me. It is nothing as the other La Quinta. I don't know if I had too much expectations hence my disappointment. Also I was shocked to see big fogs and pets allowed at this La Quinta because that was a no no at the other one. I'm so unhappy. I hope the next La Quinta I choose will be like my first experience.

Thank you to Avianna for providing 5-star service for me and my boyfriend. I believe if the foundation of respect and great customer service is evident, the experience can be magical. Blessings Will stay again

The location of the hotel was fine. The service at the front desk was pretty good! My main issue with this hotel was that they have carpet everywhere and it stinks, bad. Even the hallways smell musty from the carpet. I highly suggest they rip this carpet out and put tile in. No one wants dirty carpet in their room, or anywhere, It feels gross. I will agree with the other lady who left a review, who said the breakfast offerings were subpar. I do love a hotel that offers free continental breakfast, however their breakfast was subpar. I’d be hard-pressed to stay here again unless they pulled out the carpet.

Great location, front desk was courteous (average), rooms old and funky smell, warm water(not hot)in the shower, beds old, mattresses old, hallway carpet old and stained, breakfast average and small. definitely not up to la quinta standards.

Unbelievably horrible experience. The first room they put us in was filthy. The bath tube seriously looked like it hadn't been cleaned in some time. You could see dirty feet marks and standing water, it was disgusting. The television didn't work. We asked for a wake up call, they said we don't do that. We asked for some batteries for the alarm clock, which didn't have any, again they said we don't have any. So then we asked for a different alarm clock, they said we don't have any. They ended up changing our room to a room that was only marginally better. The floor in the bathroom was filthy, it didn't appear the carpet had been vacuumed in quite a while. Breakfast is supposed to be included from 6am till 9am. My wife went down for a cup of coffee for the two of us at 7am and they were just setting up. There wasn't anything but sugar to sweeten our coffee. We can't have sugar due to diabetes. When she asked if she could have some sweetener he said we don't have any, you have to wait for housekeeping. We always stay at a Wyndham hotel and have always had excellent experiences. This was one of the worst experiences we've ever had. I told the desk manager that staying there was as bad a Motel 6. We also weren't allowed to talk to the hotel manager. Wyndham needs to pull their name from this particular La Quinta, it's that bad.

We stay there because they don't charge extra for the dog. Perfect location for me. Everything needs help decor wise, but that's reflected in the rates.

My dad shakeel soonka has a green card 🇺🇸so two weeks ago I booked this hotel for my dad and he stayed there for two nights in Houston in November. $10,200 got stolen from the room, literally from inside the room while he was gone out. The hotel owner does not want to take responsibility for this mishap. The owner keeps blocking us on WhatsApp. I don’t recommend anyone staying in this hotel that does not give us security for our belongings and money. No cameras in the lobby. The staff does not even try to understand the problem. Zero rating.

I had a friend stay here with me and was robbed!! Later to find out the truck she had was vandalized aldo by having the Catalytic converter stolen while sleeping. Hotel has security who knew nothing and has no cameras. Avoid this death trap of a hotel!!

I booked a reservation for the 25th of August until the 27th the hotel itself was ok it was old the beds were small but they charged me 50 incidentals without a reason why so I filed a complaint with the BBB. The lady who answered the phone was rude and put me on hold. The corporate headquarters will not talk to you without you filling out a form. Will never stay here again I’m a Marriot rewards holder only blooked her because of location.

Gave only 3 stars as rooms look really old. Location wise it's really close to Galleria area. Easily acceaaible to all prime locations. You need a car tho. Cannot just walk as there are u-turns to restaurants.

Everything was great from the room the check in the parking quiet area as there are condos all over the place and luxurious hotels. Walking distance to Starbucks and gas station for midnight snacks. The breakfast though is pitiful from no tea no jam no breakfast meat the boiled egg I would think about it if it has a smell, the scrambled eggs look like they were made with water and runny.

I was here less than 2 hours, and the catalytic converters were stolen off of my truck. It wasn’t even dark yet. I’m convinced I saw the guy waiting in the lobby, watching the vehicles of the people checking in. This makes me think the front desk guy was in on it. No cameras and “the security guy isn’t here yet.” Yeah right. I wish I read all the other reviews of people getting their trucks broken into and stolen before I booked. Don’t stay here. At best, they’re not willing to do anything to prevent their customers from crime.

Front desk clerk on check in was busy smoking pot, room has double beds not queen size. Catalytic converter was stolen in their parking lot and they have no cameras. They don’t even give a damn. Definitely not a clean room. Seriously. Something brown on the comforter…. Nasty!!! and the towels and pillows smell like an old man used them. Just. Don’t.

Staff was pleasant. Room was clean. Bed was hard as a rock and pillows were very thin. We might have managed with the bad bed if the room was cold enough, but it is set to not get below a certain temp so it never did get cold enough for us. You could tell the carpet was cleaned between guests, but it still had a slight lingering old carpet smell - nothing we couldn't stand though, just noticeable. Overall, it wasn't a terrible stay. It just wasn't as comfortable as I hoped it would be.

READ ALL REVIEWS BEFORE BOOKING!!!! This place will soon be visited by Department of of Public Health Services. Traveling the country for work over the last 3+ years, I’ve had the chance to stay at almost every type of major hotel chain and have gotta say, this La Quinta is bottom of the barrel. Not once have I seen such a well-established chain of hotels exhibit such blatant deceptive trade practices. Falsely advertising (a CRIME in Texas) amenities that are conveniently unavailable. They’re one of the only chains still using Covid as an excuse to skimp on their “full breakfast”. I read a review stating they would be returning to full breakfast from continental breakfast three months ago yet I’ve yet to see anything of the sort. My coworker is in another room and while my room is fully furnished with a mini fridge and microwave, his is just a tv and bed. They are the only hotel I’ve been to that has their pool closed more than open. My primary reason for finally making the resolution to book anywhere else but there is for the simple fact that they wait until their guests check into the rooms before they let them know the amenities are unavailable. That’s as much of a scam as any if you ask me. Half the reason I asked our booking manager to go with this La Quinta in the first place was due to it having a swimming pool. Don’t get me wrong, the smart TVs are a nice surprise if a little bit small, but one of the main things I look forward to after getting off of work in the middle of Houston hotass Texas is to go swimming and they close the pool for three full days after we check in? I work in the trades and no fact it does not take three days for a pool to be inspected. Unacceptable! Do better Wyndham. You’re too well established to be brought down by poor management decisions, false advertising lawsuits, and poor sanitation conditions. Had my complaints to the front desk regarding the issues I’ve described been attended to, I wouldn’t have had to resort to such drastic measures as contacting the Better Business Bureau and the Texas Department of Public Health services with my concerns. I am extremely surprised this La Quinta is still in business.

Location is perfect! Also, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Leon provided exception customer service and went above and beyond to make our stay a pleasant experience. Thank you so much for everything!

The directions are a mess, its difficult getting here if your not sure where u are. When I pulled in the parking lot maps said I was 5 mins away. The room is nice, bed is firm really firm. Shower looks awesome but barely works. Four sprayers, hand held shower head and one above. The pressure suked but it seems like a great concept they just need to change out the shower heads. Overall this is a lovely hotel, quiet and I had a good rest after a hectic day of travel.

Let me say this "Leon" is an extraordinary individual. We had traveled 7 hours and we needed to make some quick changes and we needed a hole new room and and different location.. I called all around and everyone was overly priced for early check in and galleria area was just a perfect fit for us.. they were able to get us in all the staff was immensely newly friendly.. I didn't know they had dogs in the hotel but other than that they was able to get us in any good and better price. Leon you were phenomena and I appreciate everything done.. I hope your staff truly appreciate you you are amazing individual thank you again when we come back we will be staying again

This is a great hotel. Inexpensive and just a short walk to the trendy Uptown Park restaurants and shops. The excellent managers, Lisa and Leon, went above and beyond to make the stay successful - including providing an improvised raincoat when I had to walk a few blocks in a downpour. Their outstanding service and warmth made my stay a very positive experience.
