I have stayed here numerous times but will not be returning as this hotel is going downhill. 1- Bugs in my room - I reported the small bugs that I found throughout my room… nothing was done. 2- The elevators STILL (an entire month later) do not work properly so… you may get in the elevator and get stuck in it until the doors decide to open OR you have to take the stairs!!! Going up and down 10 floors was over the top and if there was ever an emergency with a person here… I see no way for paramedics or anyone else to get to the persons floor. 3- The hotel is full of United Airlines new hires in training. That is an issue because they leave food outside their doors that don’t get picked up until the following morning (gross), or they’re in the hallways talking loudly about their training that day… or they all show up at the same time on their buses to the hotel and since the elevators may or may not work… you will be waiting a long time to get to your room. These are just “a few” reasons why you should consider finding another hotel. There are plenty of other hotels nearby for the same price. No need to endure what I have describe above for any reason!

Decent for business stays, especially given the fact that they just renovated the room. There is a shuttle bus service that runs every half an hour to the airport. Service staff was really nice. The only disappointment was the restaurant, which needs to really improve their food. My salmon pasta tastes like boiled pasta and overcooked salmon.

Highly suggest! My room was neat, clean and updated! The hotel is in a great location and the customer service I received from Gregory was excellent! Will definitely be staying again when in town! I am very pleased with my stay!

I traveled for business last week with two other coworkers. I was the last to arrive at around 630pm. Due to construction and extremely limited road access, there’s only one pick up location for the van at Door B103. I arrived in concourse A and by the time I was able to find the location, wait 30 min for the van and get to the hotel- it took close to 1.5 hrs. Get a Lyft! I booked our company rate was for a King room on a high floor which included concierge access. When I checked in, I got room 703, not a high floor, and it was not noted that I was to have concierge service. I asked about that, and she did provide concierge service but didn’t change the room. I awoke at 5am to get ready for work and there was NO hot water, not even in the sink. I called downstairs to report it but there was nothing that could be done in time for me to make it to work on time- so I could do is brush my teeth and wash my face. When I met up with my coworkers that morning, I asked if they had hot water and they both did. I asked which floor they were on and they were on the 10th and 12th floor, high floors as I had requested. When I checked out, I advised the agent that I wanted to speak to a manager about the service failures. She said she would have them reach out to me and they never did. I guess I will try a Hyatt this week. Very disappointed.

Great service and checkin. Tangi is just perfect ... fast, professional and fun. Rooms are exceptionally modern for US standards. We liked that a lot. Breakfast is also very good. I like the coffee selection.

I booked a room on points. Check in went smoothly. I inquired about room service and was told I could use my bonvoy app to see the menu and order. I tried to do so but couldn't get it too work. I called the front desk and was told she knew nothing about that. I talked to the restaurant who shares with me the app doesn't work that it is a new system and they are having all kinds of issues. He was very nice and took my order. My TV begins to randomly turn on and off. I think I have set something on the remote but nope it is across the room untouched. I call and they are having issues but will put me on a list and the man working on it will hopefully get to me tonight. I explain the TV will not turn off. They will do their best. At 8:30 pm after reporting this at least by 7 pm - I think more like 630ish but I will give them 7:00 pm , I have them cancel my request and that I had to unplug the TV from the back to get it to go off. She said ok, no I am sorry. I ask to speak to a manager and she says one will be back in in the morning. I told her I feel I deserve some points back and I would be complaining to Marriott corp. I ask if she can leave a complaint note for the manager and she proceeds to tell me I can talk to one in the morning, I am angry and say can you leave a note. She said sure. I just don't get it, customer service seems to be lacking with a few people here. All I wanted to do was order room service and watch some shows prior to the start of a busy business trip over the next 6 days. So disappointed. I was told the TV issue was a known issue and if that is true it should be solved. I book Marriott because it is a brand I can depend on. Houston North was a huge disappointment. Maybe they are having an off weekend. A little customer service and empathy on not providing basic services would have gone a long way. But that is what upset me the most. The lady who checked me in was fantastic by the way, the others could take note from her. The room service guy was great too.

I was there for a family reunion in July. The elevators stop working on us 3 different times I can't do stairs. Family members walked up as many as 10 flights of stairs. I was 20 minutes late to the banquet. Once getting to the banquet I express to our server I didn't eat beef and would prefer the chicken tenders they were serving the kids he told me they were out of chicken. My husband expressed his dissatisfaction the server brought me a plate 45 minutes later I was eating while the program was going on😡. I expressed my concerns to the front desk supervisor of all of my concerns she assured me she would compensate me for the inconvenience I received my bill no compensation noted whatsoever found out she was off for the next 2 days. I reached out to corporate 2 days after checking out which was 7/26 got a complaint number til this day I haven't heard a word from no one. Never again Hilton properties only for me.

When we arrived, seem like rush hour, there were 2 clerks 1 of which was not helpful at helping the guest get checked in. The clerk even got frustrated and walked away leaving a line of over 10 guest who needed assistance. Waited in line for over 30 minutes just to get checked in. The new upgrades are not geared towards families with little one. The rooms have no microwave. Traveling with a new born and and young child, having to leave the room at all times of night just to warm his milk and snacks was the WORSE thing ever. Room rates increase with less amenities. Showers doors are fancy but you have no privacy.

This location and the operations is terribly below standards. The bathroom is the only nice feature. My room had a non working phone! Housekeepers never sweep or wiped down the room and I was there over a month. Employees steal items from guests rooms, cars being damaged and management lies about cameras not working so police reports can’t be made not to mention the rude staff. Worst stay EVER!!!! There was more but I just don’t have the energy y’all.

Incredible service. The best was the food service staff and house keeping staff. They were incredible. Non stop. Every day. Elevators are questionable. Rooms have issues. Bathrooms have leaks onto floors. Ice machine/microwave area was old.

The hotel is old and you can see that the hotel has been renovated. The first thing you notice when you exit the 10th floor is the smell smells old the rooms are very small no microwave bathroom has a see-through barn door which has spaces on both side so there’s not much privacy. Nothing to keep steam or smell from escaping when I got into the room. My TV was unplugged. Had to call maintenance to come hook it back up. There was hair everywhere literally hair on the bathroom ceiling hair on my towels, hair on the pillows in the bed sheets were stained, there was a blue illuminated light when all the rooms lights were out as well as a red light in the desk area seem like the stand underneath the TV. It’s a floating shelf was kind of leaning down felt uneasy putting anything on it you have to pay for breakfast, which is strange because it’s extremely overpriced, my 10-year-old said the going to the pool smell like the zoo did have a strange smell. I would never stay here again I don’t recommend it’s not worth the price. I had an issue with billing Miranda is a new agent. She was helpful, but not educated on a process, Lisa seemed irritated by me and didn’t want to help me. Mo The supervisor was nice.

I was not fond of the new room renovation. I've stayed at this hotel several times in the past and since my last visit the rooms have been "upgraded." I really didn't like the sliding glass door to the bathroom, it just didn't seem secure or private for my liking. No microwave in the room was a disappointment, especially when there was ample space in the cabinet area for a microwave and looked like it was designed for one. There was wasted space where a microwave could have gone. No alarm clock in the room was a little different from the standard hotel amineties. I'm all for improvements and room upgrades, but I think Houston Marriott North missed the mark for me as far as room conveniences. Closet compartment and ironing board space was very inconvenient. The dresser drawer space was greatly diminished which was disappointing. There was some sort of "light" or motion sensor looking device attached to the clothes rack which made me a bit uncomfortable. I wasn't sure what that was all about as it never lit up. Gave me very much "spy cam" vibe. Hope that wasn't the case. Maybe someone can explain it to me.

The worst. I mean absolute WORST service I’ve ever had in any hotel, motel, Airbnb, etc. All but one of the staff was incredibly rude and curt with us for asking simple questions. The hotel is fine. The staff acted like we were and inconvenience as soon as we walked into the hotel. To continue, the remote didn’t work. The area surrounding it wasn’t safe. The breakfast is $25 per person. And the only good part was the bed.

Stayed here over the weekend for an event. It looks nice from the outside but the room it self was disappointing. The bathroom has a glass sliding door which feels like you have no type of privacy. The shower has this metal long piece below the shower head on the floor of the shower, the bad part is that the shower head leaked and hearing the water drops fall and hit that metal piece at night was pretty disturbing. My partner had to really tighten up the shower handle to stop the shower head from leaking so that we didn't hear the dripping all night. They could have added a microwave to the room there was enough space for that. The room at times felt really hot at night. The staff was usually no where to be found at night. Overall it was OK but not the best especially for the cost of the room.

Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any hotel. This web site will compare hundreds of hotel sites and normally will have rooms much cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This resort is one of the most well known in this area. I've been staying here for a long time. If you decide to stay here you for sure will love it I'm sure! I can honestly say yesterday and today were the worst day of my life. My flight was originally to Austin but ended up in Houston. The airport sent me to this hotel, I think they saw my frustration specially since we ( my young kids and I) have been up all night trying to figure things out. They did EVERYTHING they could to make me feel better and comfortable. This hotel has the best costumer services that I have received in years, also the room was nice and very clean. After a long day and night, I was happy I stayed here. Best hospitality ever!

Took forever for my room to be ready, so I sat in their delightful restaurant and enjoyed the magnificent fish tacos and chocolate cake. Don't plan to walk anywhere, lots of peeps getting robbed in this area, take the free shuttle.

Location perfect for my office, front desk staff are excellent. They make you feel welcome. Rooms are good and fitness center is pretty good as well. Food in the restaurant is really good. Ruby, however, working in the restaurant is probably the rudest Marriott employee I’ve encountered in my travels. I’m not sure if she hates her job, is annoyed with anyone not associated with United Airlines, or what the reason is, but it was clear that I was an inconvenience for her the entire time she helped me. Next time I’ll drive further and stay at the airport Marriott.

I stayed at this hotel on September 9, 2023 because it is close to the airport and I would have no problem getting around. The reception was very friendly, they gave me 1215, the view was great, the room was very clean, I asked the housekeeper who was there for help and she was very kind. That's right, I will definitely return.

The front counter ladies were awesome, the hotel is okay. My rating is more for the bar they are rude and be careful with them, keep your receipts!

Very nice and clean hotel. Staff was nice. There seems to be 2 security cars patrolling the parking lot at all times which is nice considering all of the catalytic converter thieves in houston. Only 1 out of 3 elevators were working during my stay. And no blowdryer in the room!

I had a very extensive stay at the Houston Marriot recently, and I must stay it was very delightful! First off the beds are so comfortable I slept amazing every night! The best part about this hotel is the staff! You have to meet Frank and Ruby! The bartenders at the hotel bar and restaurant. They treat you like family! They are so kind and went out if their way to make me feel like I was at home! Frank makes the best drinks and the food is really good I highly recommend the fries and the chicken quesadillas. I can’t wait to return to Houston just to say hello to Frank and Ruby! You will love it here!

Definitely wouldn’t stay there again. It was 95 degrees and the a/c didn’t work, called the front desk twice to have them fix it. The first time they said “it’s on a motion timer but we’ll send someone”. 30 mins later I called again because no one showed up, was moving around the room To see if it would activate and still no ac. It was a sweaty stay

If I could give this place a zero I would first of all they have false advertisement online saying they have a indoor and an outdoor pool when they don’t have an indoor pool we stayed there for about three hours and our room had a no working AC .. they did send a maintenance person to check it out all he did was replace an a/c filter. also the elevator does not work when you’re trying to go to floor number three the button does not work inside the elevator their staff was also a bit rude about the situation of our hotel room they did offer another room but at this point we were done with this hotel

  • 3/5 Savannah M. 1 year ago on Google
Very clean. My only complaint is the temperature. The hallways and lobby are very, very, hot. The rooms only cool down if you are in them (there are sensors to see if you are moving around) so you can’t ever come back to a cool room.
