Front desk guy was rude on checking in. When asking for 4pm popcorn he literally laughed at me. I've been staying at Drury hotels nightly. I choose the hotel chain for the predictability, and the comfort. When away from the comforts of home, this matters greatly. As does great service. This hotel does not have it. I've been to Drury hotels the staff warms your day with their welcoming and kind attitudes. This hotel is managed poorly when staff are making customers wish they were elsewhere. At breakfast, no staff to be seen. This old warnout and dated hotel is not worth staying at.

Our first stay at this particular Drury, although we’ve stayed at others before. The complimentary breakfast, supper, popcorn, drinks are nice. So is free parking that has a gate arm allowing entering/exiting with your key card. This hotel is on the side of the loop (so traffic only goes in one direction to get to the hotel) and in a nice part of the city. Our cons: 1. The competitor right beside it has a tree in its gate that has grown so much that it blocks the Drury sign. 2. The king bed/king sofa room had the weirdest layout. There was a huge space around the locked door that led into an adjoining room but no space on the other side where the sofa bed was. When it was pulled out, the edge of the sofa bed adjoined right up against the king bed so you could not walk through to the bathroom! You literally had to crawl over your family to get to the floor towards the bathroom. So so awkward and disturbed the sleep. 3. Breakfast is the same every. single. day. It’s biscuits, gravy, scrambled egg, sausage patties, potato squares (maybe some would call it hash brown but I’m not sure), cereal, yogurt, breads/mini muffins. 4. No pens or paper in room Our loves: 1. Staff were friendly, helpful, and housekeeping was great. 2. Our room was quiet and centrally located (thank you for this!)3. Location was near everywhere we drove and easy to get on/off interstate. Plus it’s in a great part of city. 4. The free parking and having your vehicle behind the gate, only allowing enter/exit with your key card. There were no bad parking spaces. We’d recommend you highly to anyone and would love to stay here again when we return.

Parking lot is not secure! Our Truck was stolen over night from hotel parking lot. Called Police, they viewed camera footage but nothing came of it. Police mention that another truck had been stolen at this same hotel. They used a remote start extender to unlock and start truck. That means they have to know your room number for it to work. That's why we think it's an inside job, someone at the hotel alerts thieves.

The GM Mark was so helpful - we were in town for a few days for a family funeral and he made some special requests happen upon arrival. The check in so easy. The staff were all very helpful and friendly! Maria 2nd floor housekeeping fantastic! I will say this hotel could use renovations such as new paint/ carpet and some updating of some pieces of furniture. The pool is unique partially indoors and outdoors. Nice work out facility. Excellent location and hot breakfast - if this hotel was updated it would have received 5 stars - the staff carried it to 4 - thank you for your Texas hospitality!

Hotel is fairly old. AC unit sounded like a V10 engine. Bathroom was VERY small. I’ve stayed at Drury Inn many times and have always been pleased. This place is not a disappointment but it is older and that should be known when booking. The main elevator was not working when we stayed. Location is great, though there is some road noise as would be anticipated in this busy area.

This was my first time at a Drury Inn and it was delightful. My room was comfortable, the evening food offerings were well received and most welcome. Haven't been in a hotel thay felt this inviting in a while. The woman manning the front desk when I arrived was amazing too. There was a bit of a line and only here working but she made it all work. She was an allstar and made the whole experience start off wonderfully

Will be in Houston working until the middle of October. I stayed here my first week, and it was excellent. Against better judgment, I chose another hotel and instantly regretted my choice. Needless to say, I will be back with the Drury for the rest of my stay.

I am in town for a very important business meeting and arrived a bit early as the traffic from Boerne wasn't too bad. Marian at the front desk was so nice, professional and accommodating. She offered me a very convenient room with easy access within minutes. The rooms are very clean and the air is cold. I love when employee's love their job. It goes a long way with me, especially in our current times. Thank you Marian. I will be back again when in Houston.

The hotel was convenient and close to MD Anderson. The room was clean, no bugs!! I had searched many reviews from different hotels in the area and this hotel had the best reviews and did not disappoint at all!! The hotel perks were unbelievably good...the breakfast, the free soda machine in the lobby, the light dinner that was included, the couple complimentary drinks with dinner, the popcorn machine...I mean those are some great amenities you usually won't find at another hotel. If you are looking through the reviews to stay somewhere, chose this hotel!! You can't beat the price with the amenities and the clean rooms. Also we arrived super late at night and they have gated parking areas that you need to use your key to enter and exit with which brought some comfort in knowing my car was safe.

The hotel is in a nice area, has thorough security measures, and isn't outrageously expensive. I've had to pay more for less. This place is always friendly and gives you everything you need. Ice, free breakfast and dinner, coffee, tea. Microwave and fridge in room, also a hairdryer. In case you were curious. I was staying in the area for business and was able to find fun things to do nearby in my free time. Not to mention, the hotel is clean and allows dogs. $50 a night for dogs. I had two, and only paid $50. The hotel is right next to a La Quinta, and then a Jack-in-the-box, and then a gas station you can loop around to. Convenient area.

We had a very nice stay at Drury Inn. Our first room was above the pool, so we could hear kids yelling, but the staff was quick to honor our request for a room change. The free breakfast and fountain drinks are a nice touch! The coffee is good too! While the rooms are a little dated, the hotel is comfortable and in a great location. Would definitely stay here again.

Amazing place! I booked there because it received a 9.0/10 rating and it sure lived up to the hype. Located in the upscale uptown/galleria area so the value was superb for this budget/business type hotel. Marian, the front desk person was so kind to us. She found it was our first time at Drury and was so friendly and welcoming! She gave us a good room with early check-in due to availability. We just couldn't be more impressed with the service, cleanliness, the extras included (hot breakfast buffet, dinner, 6 drinks per person for 2 night stay & daily snacks like fresh popcorn/nachos) that you definitely would not expect at a budget hotel. They go above and beyond -- pool, gym, laundry! I am a devoted fan now and have booked my next stay at Drury in McAllen, TX. We will be back to Drury Uptown in a few days before we fly out of Houston. We felt so well taken care of by the staff and they let us have late checkout since we had to work most of the day. The other hotel guests seemed friendly, nice, respectful. One guest even offered us his extra drinks included with the stay. Anyway, GREAT place and excellent area with comfy furniture to work downstairs and business center.

Very clean, nice and well managed. Better than expected for a cheap room. plus free snacks, and drinks in the afternoon. The staff, especially the man at check in, was very professional, friendly and sweet. Would stay again and would recommend to others.

Enjoyed my stay in this clean hotel with friendly staff. The bite of eggs I had at breakfast were tasty. Only complaint is Houston traffic prevented me from making the free drinks happy hour at the hotel. 🙃

Wow! The staff is by far the nicest and most attentive team of any hotel, any star rating, any price point I’ve experienced in years… SPOTLESS room, commons, and grounds. Excellent complimentary breakfast.

Customer service was awesome! Hotel is dated as well as the rooms. Some areas of the hotel has carpet in the ceiling (patched work!. Only one elevator worked and gate wasn’t working when we arrived but was told maintenance was en route to fix it! Rooms were clean and housekeeping came in and made beds even after requesting only replace towels. The bed was very uncomfortable and headboards old/torn and raggedy you can see the inside of the headboard. The chair in the room was old. We literally sunk all the way down.

We loved our stay so much here we extended it! The breakfast is excellent, the staff is all wonderful, the kickback hour made it exceptional! It was great for my husband and I to get the three free drinks each night and the kids to have as much to eat as they wanted. We also loved the indoor/outdoor pool with jacuzzi. They also have a small little snack/sundry shop which is a little pricey, but great for when you need something which we used twice. The hotel is also super close to all the museums and zoo, so was a perfect place if you’re using the city pass- nothing was too far away. Overall, we’re so grateful to have stumbled up this wonderful hotel and know that when we come back to Houston, this is the place to stay!

The parking space is properly secured, and accessible to the guests only. The Dinner is complimentary free. Surprise ! It is good. The Breakfast is free and with variety. Stayed in twin queen bed room, photos attached. Overall good accommodation at reasonable price. I would always recommend it.

This was a great place to stay. When we checked in we were each given a ticket for 3 happy hour drinks. And there is hot food: pulled pork sliders, salad, soup, nachos, hot dogs, mixed vegetables. The morning breakfast was normal breakfast food, it was fresh and good. Room was very clean. Towel and linen fresh and soft. Staff was very nice.

We really enjoyed this hotel. Traveling with two young daughters has had me look at hotels in a different way. I like to get hotels less than 5 years old because of obvious reasons. I was curious about this particular hotel and it's set right in the middle of the high-rises for my daughter's to experience. Although almost 30 years old this hotel I would hold close to any new hotel overall. The receptionist and the employees we're very sweet talkative interested in our lives and Who We Are but very good to our daughters. I loved the full breakfast in the morning and there's also every evening and invite to a buffet to get to know guest. I would stay there again yes absolutely

Clean room very nice front desk. BREAKFAST limited but fresh 😋. Need additional time for check out granted until 1pm. Had to make additional reservations because needed it until 3pm was charging half day for that time which was disappointing considering hotel was no where near booked up. But it's fine.

My husband suggested this place while we stayed in Houston. The service was outstanding. The staff was very friendly and met all our needs. One thing that I didn't like about the room was that our bathroom didn't have a fan. So, as you can imagine, the room would get stinky after someone used the bathroom. Other than that, we felt safe and secure and slept great. There was hardly any noise or disruptions. We will definitely be back.

Rooms are a little dated…however it is an overall very nice stay. As always Drury Inns have an amazing free morning breakfast and the staff is always friendly. I can’t remember the name of the woman who checked me in but I was impressed with her customer service (Stacy maybe). Clean, affordable, and friendly stay.

Great location, safe and free breakfast and dinner with drinks and popcorn daily. The quality of the food could be better. And should be rotated, we got tired of eating the same foods for our two week stay. They rotated maybe one item daily the rest was the same. It had a pool and hot tub. My issue is that my toddler climb this thing in the room and pulled the coffee maker on her head and caused a red mark. This is a safety hazard and is not safe for little ones. The plug should not be exposed either. My headboard was peeling when you pressed your back against it. And the box spring on the bed was dirty.

The staff was very helpful when we checked in extremely late at night all the way to when we checked out. The staff was friendly and constantly checked on us as we sat in the dining area. The bar tender was nice enough to fix me a non-alcoholic beverage when I told her that I don't drink alcohol.

This hotel is close to great shopping and restaurants. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The day starts out excellent with a full breakfast compliment. The Kick Back hour is perfect if you are "done" with traffic and want to relax after a long day. Rudy, Maribel and Jiang made our days.

This was a great quick overnight stay for my family. Very friendly staff, full breakfast buffet, and they even offer free dinner and drinks. We had plenty of pillows and the beds were comfy. It’s not a large hotel, only a couple elevators but it felt homey and the extra layer of security in and out of the hotel was comforting.

Service was undeniably wonderful! The time could use some updates. However, the pool was being renovated during my stay, so I'll have to give credit that they're definitely trying to update the property. Outstanding happy hour reception that's unparalleled by any competitor! Give them a try next time you're in Houston.

Front clerk Asche was very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is older but the bed was nice ans the pillows were like clouds. Happy hour was great. They even had a mini buffet. Breakfast was great. There is free parking. We enjoyed our stay. It was convenient to nearby places we wanted to go to and a good price.

I would give this hotel 10 stars on each if I could. My family and I have been staying there a lot over the last 4 months because of trips to MD Anderson. The staff could not be more helpful. They are the most friendly and happy people you will find anywhere. Ash is amazing I hope the upper management knows how lucky they are to have her. Highly recommend if you are looking for a hotel in this area of Houston. And Drury Inn is always a good choice no matter the location.

Super friendly welcome when we came in. The receptionist walked us through how to get our free popcorn and sodas whenever we want (what a bonus with kids!). We took advantage of the happy hour with three free drinks, and the food was warm and yummy! Breakfast was really good. Eggs, biscuits, really good sausage, gravy, potatoes. That was all along with your bagels, cereal, yogurt standards. The lady setting up breakfast at the crack of dawn? Also super friendly. Everything was super clean. Someone in our family got an upset stomach and couldn’t make it upstairs; they came back to the room and said the lobby bathroom was immaculate. When we were leaving, the breakfast queen and the manager asked about our stay, and they genuinely wanted to know if there was anything that could improve. I haven’t seen service and attention like this on a long time. This is a company that’s investing in good people. That (and free sodas 24/7) sold us and made all the difference. We’ll be back with the family again for sure.
