No idea how this place has such a high rating. Just checked in 10 min ago and we're already incredibly disappointed. (Springhill and Fairfields are our go-to hotels) Elevator started moving up before the doors closed. Door to room was hard to open. Stains on couch and on pull out mattress. Floor by window was soaking wet. Bottles of soap and lotion seem used. Haven't even gone to bed yet and I'm already grossed out. May edit this later to add how breakfast goes.

Nice decent and clean hotel. I had to stay here because the airline cancelled the flight due to weather. Very close to Hobby airport. Quick 7 minute shuttle ride to the airport. Shuttle will take you to excellent restaurants near by including Pappa burger and Ninfa’s (Premium Mexican Restaurant). The rooms were clean. The room was large but bathroom was small and tight. They have the freeze-you-if-on air conditioners but warm if you turn them off, otherwise they were fine. The free breakfast was more of a top tier free breakfast: included hot scrambled eggs, make your own waffle, eggs, bacon, instant oatmeal, breads, juices, fruit, etc. The service was friendly and gracious. Nice clean eating area.

2 stars were given because the room was really nice and met some cool people there. The hotel advertises security gates, but they do not utilize them. They advertised a hotel bar, but it was closed. Had my truck broken into the first night I stayed there, there was no manager to access security camera footage, and the security only speaks Chinese. They have been difficult in dealing with the situation. Will definitely not be staying here again. I chose this hotel because of the extra security with the security gates, and I won't make that mistake again.

I will NOT be staying here again. Trust me when I tell you that it is in a SKETCHY rundown neighborhood. Lots of abandoned buildings with graffiti right next door. I saw multiple homeless people walking around the parking lot. The staff was nice.

Sadly pictures and descriptions when picking a hotel from afar don't always work out. I chose this location because it was close to an airport which I was traveling through here for work. The area that it's in does not seem the safest nor does it look the best or taking care of. The restaurant that's near the airport is derelict and run down and not even open. The hotel itself it seems like they're trying it's clean the rooms are slightly updated and do meet the needs. The staff was friendly what interaction you have. Unfortunately the room I was in the air conditioner was broken and I only found this out while trying to sleep at night with the room at 75° and getting hotter.

Arrived yesterday during the day after our 7 hour drive, the lady at the front desk apologized because their system was down so they could not give us a room key. We left and came back that night, still no room key. The next morning we finally got a room key, breakfast was awful as well. Now I'm sitting in my room the night before I have to drive 7 hours home and there is a whole motorcycle convention going on outside?!?! The lady at the front desk said there is no way to move rooms away from the loud music, and that they will be done around 11. I have leaving at 4 in the morning. Actually the least helpful front desk person ever.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Everything felt neat and clean, and I liked the layout of the rooms. I would definitely stay here again.

Verdine was extremely rude and unprofessional. I asked for a pillow for my room and she refused to go and even check if there were any extra pillows in the room. She said that was because she couldn’t leave the front desk. Regardless that’s a mistake of the hotel that they are understaffed, and her attitude was very poor. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had at a Marriott. I would strongly recommend staying elsewhere

Ended up here after our flight was cancelled. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and patient with all of the people frantically trying to find hotels and check in. Upon check in we were able to schedule the shuttle at 4am to be back for our rescheduled flight. Despite being up all night doing airport runs the shuttle driver was very nice and upbeat. We really apprecated all of the kindness shown to weary traveller's at this location and would absolutely stay here again.

This is my worst experience ever in a Marriott, and offer complimentary breakfast. You cannot imagine the staff who prepare the food you don’t have the service that you deserve. The breakfast was ultimately a mess; there was no food, no coffee, and everybody was grumbling, but the only one who raised his voice was me. I’m not coming back here.

Thieves working in the area. Had my (boring, stock) wheels and tires stolen from the front parking lot. Hotel is fine, location is terrible.

Staff like V. Are what makes this place good. Clean. Comfortable. Breakfast was lacking yogurt, bread, muffins but had scrambled eggs and sausage.

I had a loud noisy room air conditioner, which I reported, but they didn't offer me a viable solution. They said the technician is not here and will look into this next business day. I have stayed at other Spring Hill suites, but this room design layout is not typical. This seems like some other brand converted to this brand. Its surroundings seem like a very run-down area.

Nice hotel in a sub par neighborhood, but very conveniently located to the airport. The shuttle was fantastic, as was the staff who were very kind and helpful. The rooms are older but well kept and clean. We really had no big complaints.

We stayed at this Springhill Suites because of the proximity to Houston Hobby airport. We needed access to an airport shuttle for our short stay before leaving on a cruise. We stay at Springhill Suites often and this one is subpar compared to others. It was in a not so good part of town, I am glad we didnt arrive during daylight hours. I would have felt much more uncomfortable and definetely would not have taken the walk to a nearby store. The hotel was overall clean and the staff was extremely friendly. The rooms were okay, but much smaller than other Springhill Suite locations. It was very cramped compared to other locations. I would have been disappointed with the room if we had to spend more than a night there. It was updated decor, but you could see areas in the bathroom and bedroom where it was clearly an older hotel that was a bit worn out. The bathroom was TINY! You had to move out of the way to shut the door. The hinges were rusty and the tiles were chipped. We had only lukewarm water for our morning shower. They offered an airport shuttle and we also used the shuttle to get dropped off at a nearby restaurant for dinner. Driver said as long as it is available they can take you to nearby places. The breakfast options appeared to be good for those that arrived early, but unfortunately with 45 minutes left for the breakfast hours, most items were not restocked. One unexpected perk was that they offered a "cocktail lounge" with a very small bar in the evening. We were there for less than 12 hours before leaving for the Galveston Cruise Terminal, so the price was worth it for us compared to what we would pay in Galveston for an even shorter stay. If we cruise out of Texas again with a short window of time we may consider staying here for a low priced room. I know now not to expect the level of quality we are accustomed to at Springhill Suites.

Had to stay on an overnight from the airport. Close to airport, easy and friendly shuttle service, easy and friendly check in. Rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast had many options and longer hours on the weekend. We appreciate that the hotel made a stressful situation much more pleasant.

Me and my family stayed here for 3 nights. The room was clean and a great layout for my family. Breakfast was good and a lot of options. Staff was polite and they have security in the parking lot at night. & It's in a great central location to Galveston and Downtown. Highly recommend!

Good customer service is so hard to find! The two women working the morning/afternoon shift were so patient and welcoming. Our shuttle driver was pleasant and prompt. The two women working the evening shift were SO helpful. The rooms are spacious and clean. Great gym with free weights and plenty of cardio equipment. A wonderful one night experience/stay in Houston!

My wife needed to be checked in very early and it was a day after Memorial Day. Housekeeping had a full load and many rooms were still dirty. Lisa, who was working the front desk, went out of her way to make sure my wife got the very next room available and in doing so went above and beyond in making her day so much better.

We had worst experience with this hotel manager. At check-in on Saturday(9-JUL-22) afternoon gave our credit card for security deposit purpose. Next day morning, we checked out we got email after checkout that our credit card was charged for $5.71 for frozen market food that we did not order/ buy. we called immediately to hotel, they said manager not here Call next day. when we called Monday, they said call Tuesday. we raised a complaint in Marriot customer care. After that we got email that $5.71 was credited to a different credit card that was not ours. they closed the case. Again we called again, in customer care they reopened the case and asked us to talk to manager. Manager said she will send to our card, but it's 2 weeks over we didn't receive yet. Thought the amount is small, the way they handled credit card by mistake and the way they responded was bad which makes give 1* . Beware of this and check your dues before leaving hotel. Update: Today (25-jul-22) morning for the first time we got call from the hotel general manager and they refunded amount immediately.

Service was great but overall the hotel is dated. Tv in the room was easily 10y old. Location is near the Hobby airport and they offer a shuttle which is nice.

Clean, basic, hotel near Hobby Airport. Free breakfast was OK. Only complaint was that it took minutes (measured over 2 minutes) for hot water for the shower. It came but took a long time. They were accommodating and took me to the airport when I wanted rather than making me wait for their schedule

Save your money! This hotel should not be allowed to carry a Marriott name! Elevators feel unsafe. Breakfast not up to standard. Room dirty. No hot water in mornings. Toilet broke and leaking twice during stay. Other than that, all was well!

The hotel was nice. The staff was nice. The bed was comfortable and very spacious. The breakfast was completely watered down and greasy. The bathtubs are old and the towels were really rough. However, If stay here again. There's a microwave, refrigerator, and a great blow dryer I plan on buying.
