The rooms are old and outdated. I asked for an upgrade since it was my birthday and I am a Titanium Elite member. Man one of the worst rooms I ever had. The bathroom was small and the toilet barely flushed. When I spoke to the people downstairs, they told me to come back in August or September which the rooms will be renovated. Honestly I was too tired to even check out to find something else. If that was a concierge room, I hate to see what the regular rooms looked like. Don’t be fool by the lobby. The lobby is pretty cool and sneak to look at. They get you when you get to the room. If I ever go back to Houston, this hotel is on the do not rent list for me.

It is not what it used to be! Now it's all outdated. Items need to be replaced. The main issue with my experience last night was a sunken mattress. I couldn't sleep as I continued to toss and turn. The light in the restroom is really rusty. On a good note the gentleman working as the guest service rep was nice and friend. With that being said I don't think that you get the value of what you pay when you stay here. You pay $26 parking if you want to use the intenet that also comes at as cost of $14. It honestly makes me sad as there were awesome memories made here when my husband and I started dating. I always stay at Marriotts as a tradition since that is where we met!

Mattresses are old and lumpy. Low water pressure in the shower. Bathrooms haven't been renovated since the hotel was built 20 years ago - who has tubs any more? AC was good and it was clean though. Price is reasonable too.

The Hotel is in a great location and the staff was very nice. I gave this location 2 stars because the rooms were super old and used, especially the bathroom walls, roof panels and carpet. for the price, it was an underwhelming experience. It is time for a redo of the rooms.

If you’re a girl and wanting to be a bartender there I wouldn’t recommend working here at all! The men there are very sexist! Especially the one bartender I forgot his name but he’s Greek and his son works there or did work there. On my first day the chef was so rude! That one bartender that’s been there for a while wouldn’t train me, they were treating me bad and being very rude for no reason! I worked there about a week and quit! I didn’t want to quit but because of them I did! I even complained to the manager which is a male and he didn’t do anything about it of course! I never worked somewhere that the men were so childish and treated me bad for no reason! I guess they were jealous and knew I was going to make better tips than them! No wonder why they can’t keep female bartenders that’s not how you treat women!!

Had lunch at the bistro after a business meeting in one of the conference rooms. Food was delicious and all the employees were super nice and working hard. Gave itn4 stats just because I didn't stay in a room so not sure how good or bad they are....but the bistro and employees were next level.

Location to Galleria, food, shopping and business is perfect. But those who know the traffic in this area know how bad it can be sometimes. Valet parking was great and my truck was taken care of, motel staff were courteous and helpful at all times Rooms are small and showing their age though, hence why I gave a 3 star overall rating.

Front desk was lovely. In the evening the restaurant was open but would not serve us unless we went back up to our rooms and ordered on the mobile app. There was no hot water for any of the several rooms we had. The rooms were pretty dated but the hallways were definitely dated. The views from our rooms were all pretty terrible too.

Lifetime titanium and self confessed hotel snob here. Look for another Marriott in Houston. This one was likely beautiful 40 years ago. Dated and not very clean. I was supposed to stay two nights, but checked out after the first for another Marriott in the City.

Breakfast is far from the expected!! The parking service and garage access is far from the best and more practical. Based on the price, I would suggest any other option! Not sure if I would hire their service anymore.

We arrived for check in and before we could even get out of the building, a valet guy was already telling us to pay for valet or move our car because it was going to get towed. We weren't even there 10 minutes and had JUST checked in and walked 5 steps from the front desk to the front door. The parking spots are super tiny, our car barely fit (Subaru Outback) and was extremely tight with two cars parked next to us. They charged an extra $50 fee and did not inform us there would be any additional fees outside of parking. We were told parking would be added which was $24...not $50. The valet guy let us know this, not the front desk girl. She was pretty reserved until another gentleman walked up. She was having side conversations with him until he asked about my day. The hotel is pretty confusing. The garage doesn't take you directly to your room floor, you have to go downstairs and then use a different elevator that is way on the opposite end of where the garage is. Rooms are pretty standard, nothing crazy or lavish for what you pay. You're paying for the area and nice lobby. Big TVs in the room. Clean beds. Stocked bathroom. Again, all standard. Check out was a breeze. However, leaving the garage is also annoying. They have multiple exits and one specific exit for contractors that guests cannot use. You have to go around more stuff to exit. Overall, it's an okay hotel. The work discount made this one okay but definitely not worth the full price.

Front Desk staff should learn basic manners! Called Front Desk to modify a reservation. They couldn't find me reservation by name or confirmation number, stating my reservation was too far in the future for them to see it in their system, despite checking-in, in less than a month. That seems odd. They told me to call back and select a select Option 2. I did so, but that person was the wrong department and unable to help, so they forward me back to Front Desk. The phone was answered by the same initial person. After they said hello and heard it was me again, they sighed and just hung on me without another word. SO RUDE!!! AWFUL treatment of customers!!!

Spent 3 nights on business there & had worst ever days in a hotel. The room does not have a safe box !! It was so small with almost smallest ever bathroom. They never served my room in the first day had to ask for towels. I requested a better room at check in & the receptionist said it’s already assigned although I’m platinum member of Marriott loyalty program. For sure never again this property & avoid Marriott as possible.

I traveled 4 different times to Houston for a work project last 2 months and the service at this hotel is the best. They all understood that I had deliveries scheduled and were so accommodating to get the packages to me in a timely manner. The front desk team of Tiarra, Jalon, and London were so professional and helpful each day. It was a pleasure to be greeted by them. The restaurant/bar staff were very friendly and remembered our company every day for lunch. I highly recommend if in the area to stay at this hotel.

The bartender working today is fantastic I believe her name is Malo. I noticed her at the bar early in the day so I know she’s been working a long shift. I decided to eat at the bar for dinner and she was friendly, offered recommendations, and gave fast and pleasant service. All of the guests around me seemed to be enjoying themselves as well and I’ve observed the bartender give top notch service to each guest. Big kudos to her. The manager on duty, did not catch her name but she’s a bit shorter than Malo long dark hair… she was very professional in the delivery of the feedback she gave Malo, but it was done in earshot of the guests making the vibe decline immediately. As an operator in hospitality, I completely appreciated the way the manager spoke, her tone was perfect for developmental feedback but it was just done at the wrong place and the wrong time. Malo responded very professionally by the way. Personally I would’ve been bothered and the manager & guests would’ve known it, but Malo knew her surroundings and remained calm & maintained her composure despite the uncomfortable & public coaching that occurred. I’m traveling, but if she worked in my hometown, I’d be trying to poach her from you. I hope this feedback reaches that manager so she can understand how this looked from a guests perspective.

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I've had excluding one of the security and valet at the time and convienent location. The front desk and management both witnessed upon check in the our situation. I brought several guest to stay there for my 30th birthday celebration and upon checking in the receptionist at the front desk was extremely unwelcoming , rude , and pushy to myself and all of our guest . We had a situation that was WITNESSED by the manager and the receptionist that could have been easily prevented with proper registration and explanation of the process needed to secure the aspect of me and another random guest that joined my party to swap rooms. The random guest decided to keep their room and was trying to STEAL our property, we had to get police involved. It wasn't until 7 30 am where we could come to a resolution, they put us in a new room to rest that was not properly clean. Looked like it was just being done getting used and then they call us and say we have to check out after 30 minutes of rest . My card was charged more then the amount agreed to , this came as a surprise because again the front desk lady failed to explain this upfront . Apparently the extra charge will return , but oh well. I called back to see about a refund because the entire experience and issue could have been handled and wasn't properly to begin with. I ask for a refund because we weren't able to stay at the hotel or in our room . The manager was VERY rude , short , and had ZERO compassion for the situation. He said I do not have a refund this was on you and didn't take accountability for the fact that this could have been prevented or handled differently. My 30th birthday was ruined at the end of the evening because of this , I brought you so much business by having 6 guests stay there and there was NOTHING he would do. . Didn't even give me another comped evening, partial refund , at the very least not even any compassion or respect when speaking to me . He said if I brought it up during the stay about the attitude and dirty room that they could have done something about it with again zero compassion . . They saw what happened how exhausted and distressed I was . Obviously you don't belong in the hospitality industry and expect that my friends will also be leaving a poor review due to their experience as well , dealing with poor customer service. I will be taking this up with corporate and they will provide me the video footage of the checking in process that you said you witnessed and decided to do nothing about.

3.5 stars if I could. The lobby, restaurant, and gym/amenities are nice. Service is 10/10, everyone is very kind. 3 stars because the rooms are so outdated, shower was old, bed was not comfortable. Could’ve just been my room though. This is very much a 3 star hotel in regard to the room

Don't forget to use HotelDully.ᴄᴏm when booking any hotel. This web site will compare hundreds of booking web sites and typically will have prices a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This resort is one of the most well known in the area. I have been staying here for a long time. If you stay for a few days you definitely won't be let down. Great service from the front desk to housekeeping. The bar and restaurant were great and all staff was very accommodating, I will be back.

I stay always at Marriott properties but every time in Houston avoid thus location. Bad bad bad customer service from the valet and receptionists. Bad culture, it looks like they have their own rules. Go to a different Marriott property while you visit Houston.

Great place and the staffs are A+. Best part, everything is near by. Ideal spot to stay....traffic is nuts though, plan ahead.

Pricey for what it is. Rooms are dated decor. Toilet was running intermittently because it has a small leak. Small showers. Bed was old. More like a LaQuinta than a Marriott.

Very good Marriott hotel in a convenient central location. I would rate this above the JW on Westheimer. Gym is small but complete. Pool is a bit weird in location but overall great value for money, good location and great service.

Dirty and noisy rooms. All of the rooms on the south side get to listen to morning deliveries starting at 5:00am. Went to discuss issues with a manager who did not have the time to talk to me OR get back to me when I left my contact information. Parking/Valet is very ecoensive to have my car parked under a tree and covered in sap. Worst Marriott property ever.

Hotel is a bit pricey for what you get and you have to pay parking fee to self-park. It was supper convenient while attending training at the Burns McDonald connected building. Anthony at the bar was the best so it's not the service its more the age of the place and the cost.

I travel a lot and this is one of the worst places I’ve stayed at. Other than the location, this place is not worth the money and Marriott name, have stayed at better MOTELS than this place . Nothing about this is Marriott, except the price. Customer service : fluctuated between rude and pleasant . Check in lady was rude. Rooms : smells old , very small . Outdated furnishings and worn out . Bathroom big problem . The exhaust “works” but it runs very slowly and doesn’t draw out enough air flow, and there is nothing they can do . If Shower runs for a long time, the smoke alarm goes off . Plumbing seems old and backed up. Beds is very old and has a dip in the mattress. Outdate furnishings , and worn out . Never staying at this place again.

Don't forget to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any stay. This website will compare thousands of booking web sites and typically will have rates much cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This hotel is the best rated in this area. I've been coming here for a long time. If you stay for a few nights you for sure won't be disappointed. Amazing staff makes you feel welcome from the time you checkin to your last minute on the property. More than makes up for the somewhat dated rooms and the parking garage that takes a little getting used to.
