As a person who loves coffee, I will see the coffee here is not very good. The coffee shop was very clean, super friendly staff, lovey decor, and as a construction worker I felt out of place by the mean stares everyone was giving me (I’m used to it, happens often in “nicer” places). They advertise a Cubano Breve coffee on their website but in store they say they don’t serve but could get close to it, so they tried but didn’t have any items that a traditional coffee would have. I ended up ordering a mocha latte and it was just alright. The latte wasn’t the worse I have had but surely was very close to it. I will not be back.

TLDR: If you are catching up with friends or getting some quick work done, this is a good spot for you. Parking - Parking is located behind the shop. I stopped by on a weekday around noonish, and they were about 60-70 percent full. I can’t imagine what it will look like during the weekend. Also, they are still running at a reduced seating capacity. Comfort - There is NO WiFi service! The chairs are hard and uncomfortable. This is why this coffee shop is not good to look for a place to get some work done. However, I did stay for a couple of hours using my hotspot. As you see customers coming in and out, you can tell many of them have a good relationship with the baristas. Most customers there were in a group. Either working on something together or just catching up. There are also local flyers posted inside. If you live around the area, this might be a perk for you. The shop is also super cleaned and neat. Coffee - I order a Cortado. Nothing special, and I have no complaints either. Design - Love the fact that they have art all over the wall. They all have information on how to purchase them, who the artist is, and the price. One thing I would love to know is how often they rotate those arts out. On I really love the design and atmosphere. Like I mentioned before, if you are by yourself and trying to get some work done, this is not the spot. If you are grabbing a cup of coffee with a friend, check this place out!!

A latte for 4.50???? A latte with syrups and alternative milk?? I am ASTONISHED. Had the most lovely iced vanilla latte with oatmilk here. Beautiful place with parking in the back and super friendly staff. The coffee itself was delightful and creamy, as well as perfectly sweet. I loved the vibes here, super upbeat with tons of laughter and good coffee. I’ll be back!

This spot is always a decent spot to stop by after a haircut at Cutthroat. They've got a decent selection of coffee options, and a couple baked goods. The cookies in particular are pretty good.

CC has really friendly and helpful staff. I stopped by after lunch for a double shot of espresso and I wasn’t disappointed. I didn’t have to wait long even with the large number of people inside. The choices are great and I’m sure the pastry selection is better earlier in the day. I would definitely visit again and try other items on the menu. A great coffee shop. Don’t miss the back entrance from the parking lot. They have a wide range of indoor seating; there is outdoor seating in the front and on the side of the building with some shade.

Great coffe and pastries. Pretty small but has a great vibe to it. Plenty of parking at the rear of the place. My iced latte was actually one of the cheapest that I've gotten in a while and was delicious.

Tried this coffee shop while in town for work, greatly enjoyed it, friendly staff, tasty coffee, I’m usually more of a add a bunch of flavor or sugar to sweeten my coffee, but the quality of this roast made it where a less sweet mocha was really enjoyable and smooth. I will definitely visit here again if I’m in the area. I’m partially writing this review to kill time while I wait for the extremely slow train to pass nearby, plan accordingly if you’re in a time crunch if you need to go nearby on the side of the tracks where target is. I popped over to this coffee shop and now am stuck on this side of the tracks for eternity. I may never get across. The amazing coffee does balance out the stress I am feeling from my day being put behind

Experience: 5/5 Atmosphere: 5/5 Service:5/5 By far the best coffee I’ve had inside the loop. Going to buy their coffee beans I like it that much. I normally order ahead in the morning before work. The staff is super friendly. Seating is a bit odd and the space is a little small but but if you’re looking for excellent coffee I highly recommend this place!

Awesome coffee shop in the heights. The coffee beans are excellent. The staff are extremely friendly. They have some small snacks and plenty of open seating. I’ll definitely be back.

I came on a Sunday afternoon. Good little coffee shop. Seems like a nice spot for locals. Not much seating, kinda feels crowded hence the reason I gave 4 stars.

Got an espresso drink. The drink was a little acidic and not too flavorful. They don't heat pastries, so it was cold and kinda chewy. But the service and atmosphere is nice. Beware, they have these low stools as chairs, so if you need back support you're gonna have a bad time. Also no wifi/outlets. I'm just here to have a conversation and a coffee though, so I don't mind. If you want to plop your laptop down and work, this isn't the place.

What can you say? The coffee is great! The people that work there are fantastic, friendly, and always smiling. The atmosphere is consistently good; especially on Sundays. Coffee and Cars!!

Staff is great, coffee is fine, but it is noisy and there is no wifi or outlets. Not optimal for studying. The music is loud and the people are too. I attached a sound video of a kid that was in the coffee shop for almost an hour and the dad didn’t make that big of an effort to quiet her down. She wasn’t throwing a fit, she was laughing. But still VERY loud and distracting. Would only return for take away

I loved my overall experience here. I ordered a lavender oatmilk latte with an almond croissant. Pros: Chill enough to do some work (meetings) indoor and outdoor seating, quality service. Plenty of parking in the back. Cons: uncomfortable seating, limited milk substitute (no coconut, cashew, soy milk) and no wifi. But I would definitely come back. If you don't plan on staying long it's perfect and the staff is friendly. The bakery items are yummy and fresh. An overall 5 star experience.

Fantastic little coffee shop that creates a wonderful spot for a great social experience. I was told Catalina has some of the best coffee in Houston (I personally thought it was par with most coffee shops) but the big seller was the environment. It's fun. Louder than some, but full of life in a way to allow time for great conversation. I went in and tried their cappuccino and thought it was good. It had a great aroma with a decently well done foam design and the coffee was nice. Not overly strong or mild. One downside. There are barely any outlets so it's not the best place to hunker down and get a bunch of work done, but that may be their creative choice. This is a great place to just hang out with friends, get a good cup of coffee, brainstorm ideas on an iPad or yellow page, and leave feeling content. Would definitely visit again.

Staff is amazing and they are that coffee shop that makes pretty designs on top of the coffee. Not a large menu and coffee is good, not great but the atmosphere makes it worth it. Sundays are cars and coffee. That's the day we love to go.

👍 Great place to people-watch. 👍 This is on the Washington Corridor, so a lot of bicyclists come here. 🤜 I don't exactly like the coffee here, especially since they don't have the "favorite fall flavor" 😅 🤜 It can get very busy, so getting a table can be a problem.

Cozy, small, ambiance is superb! Art from locals, great coffee and had my daily sinful bar. Couldn’t make it any better, staff was AMAZING

Quaint coffee shop with lots of parking. Came here for the cars and coffee. Lots of people and lots of cool cars. The coffee is very reasonably priced.

This place was a latte haven! I walked here with my aunt everyday I was visiting her! This place is very special and the people are SO KIND! Not expensive, but the quality of the coffees, teas, and danishes are DELICIOUS AND AMAZING. Go here! You won’t regret it! ☕️🫖🧁🥧🍰

We've been here twice, about 5 years ago and a few days ago, both visits scored some great coffee. For some reason I overlooked doing a review so here it is. I picked up a bag of Amaya Coffee Roasters whole beans, temporada, an espresso, I love the beans and the presence of a roast date on the bag. We enjoyed a couple iced mocha coffees. Check out the huge gorilla mural across the street.

Drinks are small and overpriced, although they are decent in quality. There is also no wifi, and seating is very limited. This is a decent place to quickly grab a drink, but it is not a great place to get work done or study.

Their coffee is delicious. And the baristas are so very kind! I spilled my coffee all over myself and the floor and not only did they clean up after me but they surprised me with a new one at no cost. I don't usually leave reviews but cannot recommend this place highly enough!!!

Best lavender latte I’ve ever had and everyone is super friendly! As for the inside, it’s very nice and calming— I’m sure it’d be a great place to study :)

Absolutely love it here. The iced oatmilk latte with their house-made syrups is my go-to (loving the lavender syrup right now!). Working environment is good. Never too loud. Online downside is they don’t have any outlets in their dine-in area?? So make sure your laptop is charged up before coming here to get some work done.

Vibe- Such a cozy coffee shop, they had me at whatever playlist they were playing because it was giving early 2000s (roll out x Ludacris is the song I walked in on lol) There’s a good amount of seating outside and 3 square tables with a bar across the back wall with some seats inside. There’s a door on the front of the building and there’s a back door too that leads into the parking lot outside. *I noticed pictures on the walls all around and asked the barista that rung me up about them, she said they are by a local photographer (Robert A. Sykes) from his trip to New York. I think it’s neat that they use art from locals!* Customer service- Great! Food/drinks- I ordered a hot chai tea with vanilla and oatmilk; it was yummy. Parking- There’s a few spots on the street right in front of the building and there’s a lot out back with a good amount of parking

Catalina Coffee is one of the best coffee shops in the area. Their drinks are excellent and reasonably priced. The shop is a great place to catch up with a friend but may not be the best to work at (not always a lot of seating, outlets, and noise level). Would definitely recommend everyone come here.

  • 5/5 Patrick O. 6 months ago on Google
I love their coffee. (Mocha with an extra shot of expresso). The staff is friendly and they get the drinks out fast despite being busy most of the time. I usually don't stay, as I am working. But the place is usually full of people sitting around visiting. Both indoor and outdoor seating.

Good coffee and vibe. Great place to catch up or have a short date. Chill people

i would say this place has the best coffee beans in Houston. but your coffee can be hit or miss depending on the barista. i was disappointed recently that they no longer offer a free latte with a bag of beans. they only give you a free drip or americano. not sure what made them change the policy since a latte is only a couple dollars more than an americano. i hope they rethink this policy! only reason atmosphere is 4 stars is the hard benches and lack of a comfortable couch or lounge chair.

I’ve been going to this coffee shop for many years, and the service has always been mediocre. But I do like their coffee. To the girl with the pink hair, who didn’t even acknowledge me when I came up to pay for the latte and apparently was upset because I did not leave a tip that was already automated for four dollars was because of you talking to other people While you were making my drink, leaving it super hot and making me wait while you were talking to others disregarding that my drink was just in your hand . It’s such a turn off to go into the city to all these entitled people working in these establishments without providing discent customer service. So happy I did not leave a tip because the drink was hot And her attitude was horrible. I didn’t say anything to her but if you’re looking for good coffee and at least decent human being, customer service, you may want to try another coffee shop in the area.
