Interesting place with folk artsy vibe. Good place for photos , Lots of cool textures, flattened beer cans, bottle caps, marbles and rocks.

The house is located in between some gorgeous houses!! I'm happy to see that the house is there and hopefully they don't have a HOA. Fun to see what they made and I'll be happy to contribute drinking beer while they can keep the cans

Its good to see for one time, you can click some pictures here and mark it as in your visited places. There is no ticket to watch it from outside and take pictures. There is only $5 ticket if you want to go inside. Inside consist of the history of this place kind of a small museum. There is plenty free street parking here.

Very interesting little Houston find! Took 20 years to transform the outside of the house into beer cans. His wife made a deal to let him do whatever to the outside ad long as she had the inside, to which they have kept pretty much the same since she lived there. Not very big but worth checking out.

Make sure to get a ticket in advance - or at least double check the times open. Cool to see from the outside.

Such a great place to checkout! FYI walking the grounds is free but it’s five dollar admission to get in and check out the house inside. Apparently all the beer cans on the premises were drunk by the owner and his wife and some friends.

This place is definitely a must visit in Houston. It’s cool, quirky and creative. One can walk outside the house and take pictures however to go inside the house, there is a fee. This place is in the residential area. So parking might be a challenge.

Very cute diversion and a Houston classic. If you’re in the area it’s about 20-30 minutes to take it all in, if you go self-guided. Staff very friendly and ready to share information. Unique, charming, and a fun way to spend part of an afternoon.

Interesting and quirky, we didn't go inside but the outside was plenty to see. Looking at the outside is free! Parking is a little tough but not very busy it's a regular neighborhood street.

Didn't get to enter but got to get out and take pictures. Only open on weekends noon to 5pm. Didn't think it would be around huge houses but it is. Can tell they are not sell outs and love the house. The house is one of a kind. It was amazing to think it was all made from beer cans. Beer cans are faded but can tell what they are. Awesome experience.

Pretty kool to see all the things they did with the beer cans/bottles on the outside of the house which you can self tour for free. The inside guided tour will require a fee/donation. Cool touristy situation will have to wait to take advantage of the best photo ops.

Wow! Of all we visited today on a Houston day trip from Huntsville this was the best. I thought it may be of interest mostly to me but not so. My 3 Grandkids ages 11 to 14 were enthralled. After having lunch at the amazing Black Walnut Cafe we walked to this incredible landmark. Along the way there are a few of these leftover homes mingled with the 3 plus story moderns. If I'm correct they are prewar homes built in the 30s-early 40s.(WW2 that is) The Beer Can House looks exactly the same as these but different

This is a wonderful place to visit! I had heard about this house for years. My son and I finally had the chance to go there and see The Beer Can House for ourselves. It truly is a fun place in the middle of a residential area. The person there was very informative and all funds go the The Orange Show Center for Visionary Art, a non-profit organization. We had an amazing time! Thank you.

Allegedly only open on the weekends, so a bit sad for my Friday visit. But very cool from the concept.

It was interesting to get to know how someone's hobby can become a tourist's place. You can take pictures from the outside for free, but if you want to go inside, it's costs 5 dollars per person. Inside you'll find a couple of interesting facts about the owner's life and some of the tools he used, so if you pay you will help preserve the place but if you ask me, the pictures from the outside are what's really worth the visit.

I thought it was going to be a guided tour. It was not even though I paid the $5. When I showed up at my scheduled time, I didn't know where to go or whom to talk to. Some ladies who were milling about greeted me but they weren't tour guides. Finally one showed me the gift shop where a person checks in the for *self guided tour.* I showed the guy the qr code but he sent me on my way to go it alone. I didn't have enough time to see it all before they closed. One my way out I slipped on a floor mat that shouldn't have been there and banged my knee. The guy was super nice and threw away the slick mat. I bought some postcards but would've bought more stuff if there was more time before closing. No exception was made for me even after their mess-ups.

This is definitely a funny thing to see... All of the walls are also covered in unfolded and flattened beer cans. Pretty amazing! 😂 There is a donation to enter but it was closed when we went. But you can pretty much see everything anyways

I typically enjoy these small out of the way things to do and see. This place is definitely a novelty to be sure. But was interested in touring it. The sign on the fence said open on Saturdays. But it was closed.. Booo! Looked interesting from the outside though.

This was a neat little house. It is only open for tours on the weekends, so we could only stand on the sidewalk and take pics. The wear and tear from vandalism and weather are apparent, but you can still appreciate the artistry and the time it took to complete. I wish I could see a pic of it in its earlier years.

Very friendly and helpful staff. I think the outside is really cool to stop and see, but we paid to go into the house, and it was basically just an ordinary old house with a couple of museum-like displays. I was hoping for more of the same over-the-top decorating that there was on the outside, but no. I don’t think it’s worth it to pay the five dollars to go in, but it’s definitely a cool place to go look at from the street.

I mean it's an old house covered in beer can pieces. Something to see, sure but it really only takes about 10 minutes to get the big picture. There's a small gift shop with cute T-shirts, magnets, stickers. Neat place to check off of your 'To-Do' list. Was not crowded.

'in the end we are only stories' and John Milkovichs legacy lives on. Such a weird and wonderful story of this man who took beer cans and added them to his house. Such a character; the ladder in the front yard has a black 4th rung as that was the 'failure' step on every man's progress to 'Amen'/heaven. For only $5 this is a quirky stop tour. It needs to have a bar so that visitors can enjoy a beer and keep adding to the structure

How neat!! We definitely stopped to get selfies and some extra glimpses. 🤩

After hearing about this for years, I was a bit underwhelmed by Beer Can House. Spent maybe 10 min there.
