This was our first time experiencing the park. It's very large and has multiple Pavilions for recreational use. It was well cared for and the weather was nice enough to have a good day!

Very nice trail to run or bike, trail is well maintained. Weekday mornings are very quiet and peaceful, perfect for a morning jog or just walk and enjoy some fresh air away from the traffic. There is an area with a few machines to do some light workouts and different exercises. Playgrounds are well kept and everyone should continue to keep this place nice and clean just as you find it. If you do not have a bike, you can rent one there, 30 mins time frames. Playground areas are covered and well kept.

Alexander Deussen Park is a beautiful park on the brink of the picturesque Lake Houston. The park offers picnicking, walking, biking, birdwatching, fishing, kayaking, boating, etc. There are playgrounds to keep children entertained. The sunset view is mesmerizing. Visited there twice and found some part of the park always under construction. Facilities could be cleaner, and more shaded areas would enhance comfort.

Good facilities. Picnic tables, pavilions and plenty of grassy areas are available to play. Close to the city, and free.

First time going to a park near Lake Houston after multiple trips. It is a huge area with many pavilions that can be reserved. Definitely a nice green space amongst the suburban sprawl.

Great family park for biking, fishing, picnics or taking a stroll along the trails. This is just a short walk or bike ride from my front door so I’ve frequented several times. I only wish that some people would pick up their trash by the fishing/boating docks. My boys love to come fishing here. The squirrels are also cute and friendly😃

Nice place to launch a boat. It was getting busy and a bit crowed when we were leaving around 1pm Saturday (we launched at sunrise) and there were a handful of folks on jetski and other water rec stuff. We were there to fish and explore since it was our first visit here. Lots of wildlife to see. We will definitely return!

Great for fishing. Boasting Lake Houston. Walking/ jogging trails. Lots of tables for picnics. You can rent a pavilion for the day for gatherings. Very well kept. Open from 6 am to 9 pm. It's just really relaxing and beautiful. I saw so many different kinds of birds!

It was a very hot day. We had fans and a fairly good covering. However, trees would have helped greatly. The trees that were around us looked dead. We needed more natural shading. The bathrooms were not kept up very well. It felt like a sauna. More maintenance is needed.

Huge Park, very nice and peaceful. Restrooms and outdoor exercise equipment onsite. Lake is relaxing, Ducks and Geese have an enclosed pond so they aren't ran over and so children don't run into the pond. Dog Park available. Sheriff on site. Can rent pavilion or use picnic tables and grills

Nice place to have a reunion, birthday party 🥳🎉 or any large gatherings . My family have our reunions there but sometimes their outlets do not work and they shut everything down around 7pm.

I love it. This park is super organized and clean. It has kids parks everywhere. It has covered picnic tables and a lot of pavilions. Pavilions look very neat and big. You can do fishing, kayaking, and boating. So many options that you can do as a activity. It has wildlife too. We saw turtles, snakes and fish. Your kids will love it. If you go near to lake place is very nice and breeze is good. If you stay little inside of the park, it gets hot. Restrooms are okay. There are some peacocks around the place we were sitting.

I have been to this park on several occasions mostly for parties. The park has many pavilions they are numbered and I saw numbers as high as 16 but there may be more. And lake access the views can be very nice if the weather is right. Great place to unwind or celebrate with friends.

Texas sized public park. Tons of places for picnic, grilling ,walking&biking, sports, fishing, boat launch. Family friendly, except when parking lot next to the lake fills with noisy, modified cars and trucks (not often and when it happens the sheriff is present). Park is well maintained, clean and secure - sheriff's office is onsite. Deducted one star because the rental bikes have been closed for about a year now. Bike Share was a good addition to this city park.

Such a beautiful park. I love that there's so many different play structures for the kids, lots of pavilions with tables, two boat ramps and a duck pond!!! Sometimes there's even 🦚 peacocks hanging around!!!

Too bad there's not an official swimming area. Slow down, the roads are bumpy and if you go at peek times then its full of pedestrians. Thanks to the prisoners for keeping it clean! Cops and game wardens on patrol. Great place to ride a bike, go for a walk or have a grill out! Bring your boat! Great for all ages and pets!~♡

The park surprisingly looks unkept. I don't know what the plan is for the damaged areas that are gated off, but it use to be really nice out there. The grass is halfway cut, the bushes and trees around the little pond have not been maintained at all. I was actually disappointed it looks so unloved.

Great for dogs (on leash officially) and lots of area go walk around. The boat launch is busy and not PED friendly, but the surrounding areas give access to water and nice places to sit. Great park with all the things you need. The main dog park was a great size, had large and small breeds, and had water too, both to drink and play in. The poo bags looked well stocked. Great park will go back again.

What a beautiful view of the lake, it almost makes it seem like you’re no longer in Houston! Plenty of picnic tables available for guests and a convenient boat ramp as well. Will definitely visit again!

My family loves this park. Spacious open clearings with large old growth trees giving plenty of shade opportunities. You can find Redheaded Woodpeckers, Eastern Bluebirds and Barn Swallows and other cool birds regular in the park. Paved walking trails wind through and around the whole park. Cool spot!

Wanted to come to this park to see Lake Houston. The lake didn't look the best but the sound of waves was soothing. There are lots of picnic tables near the lake and in other green areas. There is also a pond with lots of turtles and ducks, too. As for the parking, there are plenty of spaces but I think signs and lines are not clear (for first timers) and the private road was very bumpy everywhere.

We love this park. It's a beautiful park, plenty of playgrounds and space. They always keep it clean and taken care of, despite being short staffed. This is the only park my kids ever want to go to.

Beautiful park with lots of potential, but no maintenance upkeep, years of built up grime on the pavilions. There needs to be a plan to power wash at least once or twice a year. The residents deserve a clean park. Thank you!

I love getting a quick vike ride in here during the weekdays (the weekends can be a little hectic). This park is usually quiet and pretty empty early in the mornings or later in the evenings which makes it a great time to go for a bike ride or run without any interruptions. The scenery and lake are nice as well.

This place has changed dramatically from the 80's and 2000's. It's going down hill like every 3/4 months. And not for the better. Wish they would get the water area together. Rest of park is great but I love a quick get away, water is amazing but looking at that scene is horrible.
