Was looking for a very interactive place to take my two kids, decided to take them to the Houston Museum of Natural Science. I want to tell you that this place was almost as fun to them as the bouncy house lol! They were filled with wonder and amazement, my 2yr old kept on yelling “Daddy look e dinosaur daddy, e dinosaur”. My heart was filled with joy the entire time, it was very informative. They have information about rocks, dinosaurs, sand, and other animals that existed long long long ago. I even learned a thing or two. The place was bigger than I expected, clean, they had parking, there was a ramp for wheelchair accessibility. They also sell souvenirs to remind you of your time there. It was a blast, loved it.

Awesome museum and science discovery center. Located in Sugar Land, the Houston Museum of Natural Science at Sugar Land is a great place for visitors of all ages. Featuring interactive exhibits, loads of hands on activities, informative displays, friendly staff, and just awesome stuff from prehistoric displays to modern science and technology. Reasonable entry fees: Adults $13, children $10, seniors $6. Memberships are available and with it if you will visit here or the main facility in Houston more than once. They have two floors and multiple sections that have interactive and hands-on exhibits where you can touch history- including a fragment from the Moon. The recent and ancient history section has so much stuff to see up close and includes draws full of well preserved examples of shells, fossils, ancient art and tools. They have a add on experience at the Dig Pit for an additional $10 for ages 3-11 where kids can dig for “dinosaurs” for 25 minutes. Subject to closure for COVID and maintenance. Members enjoy special access to limited time programs and the Saturday morning program- check the website for details. Ample parking, handicap accessible parking and facilities. Small gift shop in the main lobby. Clean restrooms, vending machines (reasonable prices), a large grassy area adjacent to the museum is a plus. Definitely a hit with the kids and adults too. Perfectly sized and spaced out. Good mix of stuff to capture almost anyones attention.

We decided to visit the museum to burn some time. It hasn’t changed in the last couple years. A lot of the exhibits are out of order and in general, they are few and far between. This location is totally lacking the wow factor. My kids said it was boring and we were in and out in less than an hour. I would say it’s not friendly for kiddos under 2. There’s not much for them to do.

This one is a small version of the Houston Museum of Natural Science in Hermann Park. The admission fee is $13 for adult, but you will get a cheaper ticket from Groupon. There are 7 exhibits: Hall of Paleontology, Hall of Technology, Science on a Sphere, Space Science, Discovery Works, Dig Pit and Block Party Too. It will take an hour or two to visit the museum. It is great for the children. There is a museum store on the premise to buy souvenirs from.

This Museum is more of a low end used car place trying to Nickle and dime the parents of little kids than an educational experience for the kids and the parents. This is what is wrong with our system and corruption of the officials from the board and CEOs running and making the policies, apprarently they are not volunteers but paid board members. They make this a Non profit and claim all tax benefits and then give themselves big salaries and raise funds and sell memberships. Many families buy these memberships in the belief that they can take their kids for some entertainment and educational opportunities in this summer heat and can stay indoors. Well on the gate with memberships you can enter for free or buy entrance tickets, but that’s not the end to it. They want to make you buy $5 and $10 tickets for every little pit and corner and tree house they have , so excuse me what did we pay the entrance fees for ?? And these people are so inefficient that they don’t even have a way to pay with the staff guarding those places and checking tickets, why can’t they just run ur credit card and u pay it? Well it’s double wrong. They make u want to pay for individual things and then also want you to go down and the front desk salesman has to sell u the ticket. And also they have the audacity to tell that it’s only a one time entry and then you have to pay again to re-enter. So the city of sugarland and the county officials need to look into the working and the accounting of this museum and this does just seem to be like a corrupt mechanism for the board members to fill their pockets.

Words cannot describe the largest dinosaur collection in the country. This place is great and offers nice veteran discounts. The staff was also friendly and very interactive with my son.

It's a little bit small for a museum, but items displayed are good enough, cover topics of dinosaur, natural resource and energy, salt & stone, etc. In Dec on second floor there's Jingle tree display room, some interactive toys for kids. At entrance there is a Dinosaur ride with seat on top, pretty cool, kids love it, but you have to pay for it!

Great way to spend an afternoon with kids. Good size. Expect to spend 1-2hrs. They have extras so make sure to ask what’s available at check in. Staff was friendly. There wasn’t any wait time at each exhibit. A couple of stations were out of order and there weren’t many live exhibits even though the housing is available. Overall, it was an enjoyable time. Kids left happy. Military pricing available.

Small, but perfect for keeping the kids entertained for an hour or 2. Not crowded at all. Lots of different areas to explore.

Fun way to kill an hour. It is pretty small but worth the trip if you have the science museum membership. The children's lego event looked neat. Some of the displays unfortunately were not working and needed to be repaired

Much smaller version of natural museum of science in museum district. Very kid friendly! Not crowded at all on a Friday in the summer 👍 My two and a half and four and a half year old had a great time!

It's not a big museum. 2 floors. Spaced out quite a bit. Can't give it 5 stars as a lot of the exhibits were out of order. Was pretty much empty for social distancing was very easy. It was super clean and there are bottle stations for water. The chemistry bit is interactive and engaging. The salt side is very informative. Fantastic really. Upstairs is an assorted collection of random oddities. Some stuffed animals. Some statues. Some random weapons. Essentially anything museum worthy that they could get their hands on in no particular order. For toddlers the dig pit was quite fun. Spent a good couple of hours in which we covered the whole place twice. There is also a rather decent park behind the museum so the kids had a lot of fun.

We took the kids along here and they loved it, especially our seven year old. The smile on his face when he saw the T-Rex was worth the visit alone. It's a bit tight charging extra for three areas once in but overall this is a great place for kids, just the right size.

Our visit at this museum was great, keep in mind that it’s very small, much smaller than the other one. It took us about an hour to see everything, but we already knew to expect that. About 1/4 of the interactive games were broken, so I could see why kids wouldn’t enjoy this museum as much. Pros: Plenty of parking, not crowded, clean restrooms, nice staff.

It was an excellent destination for kids aged 3-11. I visited the place with my family and spent around 2 hours there. The museum staff greeted us warmly and were very amiable throughout our visit.

Always an amazing time here. Always new things to see. Can spend hours here any day. We love the butterfly garden especially. Easy to get around and even when it’s busy it’s still fun. Near so many other great places too so is a fun day out. Our kids enjoy it every time and the special exhibits are always fantastic

I am a realtor agent in Sugar Land, Texas, and my office, Keller Williams, had an annual award ceremony at the Houston Museum of Natural Science at Sugar Land. The location was fantastic for private events. It was a different venue than in previous years, and we really enjoyed our time at the museum.

It's a great place to send an hour or two. Lot's of fun exhibits on the two floors with many of them being hands on. Parking is free and super easy.

Had a great time at the Houston Museum of Natural Science. So interesting that this place was a prison. It was a bit small but perfect for a quick trip.

It’s a small place but what more could you ask for in a neighborhood museum. The place is always well kept and is fun for kids. You can expect to stay here for about an hour. Also really love how they’ve preserved the history of this locally-significant building.

We always have an excellent time and we learn something new every time we visit. The museum is clean and well kept. The dig pit is so much fun! The staff is polite, knowledgeable with positive attitude. My 3 year old always have a blast!

We really enjoy this museum. It’s not as big as the downtown museum but there are still lots to learn here. There are lots of hands on exhibits to learn from. We love the chemistry section and the dinosaurs.

Overall, this museum is very clean, nice, and educational! There is a lot to learn and it's a great way to spend an hour or two with smaller kids. However, there are quite a few interactive features that are out of order which was disappointing. We still had a really fun time!
