Amazing! Unfortunately due to social climate they have closed the stables to the public. However, Maria did give my girls and I a guided tour. Thank you very much Maria! It is a shame that in these times our boys in blue can't share their 4 legged partners with the public.

Very well organized, they take you in a group for a tour. They have 30 horses in stalls to feed. We stopped at the grocery store to get a large bag of carrots and apples since there were 3 of us. If you forget those, they sale treats, however I feel carrots and apples are easier to feed with ease with little ones so the horse won't "bite" their fingers. We did not have any problems, all the horses were friendly and we felt safe. The staff was friendly and some sit in front selling horse souvenirs. For a free family experience, this was a good one for sure!!

Absolutely a wonderful afternoon with my son at the mounted police stables. He had so much fun with the animals. Definately bring some carrots and apples and you will have an amazing Outing!

Hidden gem right in the middle of Houston! We brought my 3 year old daughter here for her birthday becuase she loves horses. We were able to feed them and pet them. We had a wonderful time and my daughter got to see "her horsies" up close for the first time. It's completely free but of course donations are accepted and appreciated. Check the website for a list of days and hours available. Saturday is by appointment only, but I highly recommend making an appointment and going on a Saturday. Big Thanks to the police officers of Houston Texas for all that they do protect the great city of Houston.

The best time! The police were so friendly and informative, ready to answer questions about the horses and working at the barn. The horses were beautiful. Be sure to buy the horse treats so you can feed them!

Great experience!!! We loved every minute! We've been several times! Favorite thing to do in Houston so far! You can bring apples, carrots, or peppermints. The horses are so patient! Don't take them for granted though you still always have to watch those fingers!

We come here usually once a year and feed the horses carrots. The horses aren’t aggressive and the people who work there are super nice. This is one of the best
