OK this is a Hidden gem in Houston. The place is so nice clean and well kept and it has many spots to sit on. We went in five families all with the kids and then there was a lot of room for the kids to play and it’s also for us to watch them, there was also a sand pit to play volleyball and I think people are allowed to camp on site. the trees are providing extra shading area and the place feels like Wildwood really loved everything about it and definitely coming back.

I absolutely love this nature preserve! The grounds are kept clean and the abundance of wild birds is fantastic. I love to spend my time here walking or reading a book or even napping if I get the chance to! I just wish people picked up after themselves, but that has nothing to do with the park itself.

A really nice park. Great paved 1.7 mile walking trail. Clean bathrooms with sinks, soap, and hand dryers. Spots to picnic, fish, and take a boat out. Plenty of parking. It’s free! A wonderful spot for a walk, jog, or bike ride, time with friends, family, or the dog.

Lovely place. Even though I didn't see the whole park, I really liked what I saw. It is huge and has a very long walking trail, perfect for a jog or a bike ride. Spots for fishing, clean bathrooms, a lot of space for a picnic, swings, free parking, and much more. It is perfect for spending time with your friends or family.

Remarkably well looked after nature preserve! We are lucky to have such a beautiful park only a few minutes away. This is one of my favorite places to go for a morning/evening run. Sunsets here are gorgeous. Amenities include public restrooms (available right off the main parking lot), a paved track for running/cycling/skating, access to Marshall Lake for fishing/canoeing/other water activities, park benches, etc. The park’s location is great too! It’s ight off off Highway 249 and just across the street from Vintage Park. Highly recommend to anyone looking to enjoy a bit of nature close to the city🌳.

We happened to find this place and loved it. The 1.7mile-paved-trail is scenic and a good length for us. There was an armadillo on the side of the trail but I only had a glimpse though. Will come back.

This is a very nice place to walk and jog. A family park where Harris County has invested by taking care. A 1.8 Mile traile paved loop for kids and elder people as well.

Perfect park with a beautiful lake! You may see snakes slithering by but if you don’t mess with them, you should be fine! They also have benches to sit and enjoy the view! Wonderful place!!

A very convenient place to go kayaking, even if you don’t have too much time to paddle. It has a convenient launch area, but no dock. Have paddle there several times.

A couple of ponds and some trees right by the highway. Only a few paths are covered by trees. I did see a cute bunny! Bathrooms close by parking. Today there were several people kayaking. There were also people camping in tents. Volleyball and Gaga ball areas. Lots of benches along the path.

A great place to walk and relax afterwards. Even though next to a busy highway, areas can be quiet. Lots of flora and fauna. Loop around Lake is 1.7 miles long and there is ample parking and restrooms are available.. you can fish as well (catch and release)

Nice hiking trails. Be ware though, while hiking today someone broke my car window out and stole my belongings. They also broke out the vehicle window right next to me. This happened roughly around 2p.m.

Beautiful park with lots of paved and unpaved trails for walking and biking. Great place for birdwatching, too!

Lengthy and various walking trails, some are paved and some are dirt. Wonderful for walking your leashed dogs. Fishing, you can put your kayak on the water to fish too, piers, cache hunting and other activities. There is at least one alligator known to be in the area so be alert. I have never seen it though. The water is unusually low due to the lack of rain this August.

The waters are still low due to the temperature 🌡️ I like to canoe there. However, the walk paths are wide, inviting bikes, and walkers plenty of room. There is fishing, picnic areas that encourage families to come and enjoy. It's a very nice park.

We regularly go for canoeing activity organized by PCT3. During our recent trip, we noticed Bryozoa (also known as the Polyzoa, Ectoprocta or commonly as moss animals), a phylum of simple, aquatic invertebrate animals, nearly all living in sedentary colonies in the lake waters. Park ranger gave good information about this animal colony. We also noticed bird like deadwood formation near the shore. As always, we enjoy canoeing that is fun and helps in physical activity.

I absolutely love the scenery while I run. The trail is very peaceful. I have not ran into a mean soul yet. It is easy to feel comfortable at your own speed. People are friendly. It is always clean and have plenty of parking.

Lots of fish. This is a very nice place. The park area and walking trails are great. I love that you don't have to go far to enjoy the great outdoors. A must do

It's a nice spot. Sometimes too many people and I think way overfished since we barely got a nibble all day. Wouldn't go back to fish but would go back to spend a couple hours under the trees or to run the track.
