I actually parked and started at the BakerRipley Leonel Castillo Center and then followed the trail through the Heights and then along the Bray (I think?) waterway. I traveled 12 miles before I decided to turn around. The paths are nice and there is decent space for passing. There was ample traffic and I didn’t feel unsafe but it wasn’t crowded or busy enough to slow down my ride and everyone was very considerate of each other. There were stretches with little shade, so I’d recommend sunscreen and sunglasses!

It's an awesome trail whether on foot or bicycle. Also there are Herons and wildlife if you look closer at the trails. Very safe, but would not visit after dark as it's closed to public I believe.

There are times there are so many people walking you can hardly make a bike path through them without them getting testy or being at risk of giving someone a wheel wedge lol. It is a bike trail people or at least it was mean to be. This what happens in a metropolis with 6 million. If your looking for a place to be alone and away from people you won’t find it here, except maybe after dark. I do appreciate that it’s there though not too many with a bad attitude but there are the occasional few who will test the calmness of a person.

Gorgeous trail and super well maintained. Plenty of room for bikes to go around you while walking. Not super hard hills it's very gradual. Plenty or rest places off to the side of the trails to pull over for picnics or whatever

Love this trail! For what it is, it's a great location. Do keep in mind, this is essentially just a greenspace carved out in the northern part of the Houston area inside the loop. But, its paved trails are a great place to unwind after a day's work on on the weekend. Great biking, and since it's flat, it doesn't require skill. It's also good for a family stroll. Along the way you run across some great views of the skyline and pass places to eat or relax. There are several parks and picnic spots along the way too, so you can stop off for a break or pick out a place to drop a blanket and hang out for a while.

We walked back and forth on MKT trail near Lawrence Park and had a good time. MKT trail connects to White Oak Bayou, so we'd like to go farther on that next time.

This trail is great! The bike trail has its hills so it is perfect to get a nice workout in. I have seen homeless under the bridges but I have seen no issues with them yet.

A really good set of paved bike and hike (key words) trails. It tends to get crowded late afternoon early evening. Also there's always that set of bikers that should NOT be riding with the general public. Absolutely no manners while cutting every one off at high speed. Eventually someone innocent is hurt. My lower rating is not so much the trail but the handful of people who makes things around them not so good.

Great place to walk or ride a bike!! Wide concrete pathways. Well lit at night. Friendly people out and enjoying the great outdoors. Lots of off ramps giving you access to great neiborhoods in the Heights. A great place to enjoy a healthy outdoor lifestyle in Houston!!
