My wife and I were feeling a bit adventurous today, hence we wanted to try something new. We found this place on yelp and we went there. We came by and ordered Magic Masala Dosa, Fiery Idlis, Magic Idlis. They were not disappointing, since they were nicely presented and full of flavor!! We will definitely come back. Ps: their chai tea and coffee are tasty too!

Excellent place for south Indian breakfast foods. Predominantly we can find varieties of Idlies and varieties of Dosas. South Indian Coffee is also available. Puri is also available. Fiery dosa is a must try. You can ask for Kids Chutney for kids. They do catering services also. Call them for live dosa at your place. The hotel is getting renovated and the seating is not that good. Kids high chair is available here.

Considering all the good reviews we group of friends of thought of giving it a try south indian food. We were there around 11AM , we went straight to lady at the counter, two of us said hello and wished her good morning she didn’t care, forget about wishing back she didn’t talk to us or helped us about the menu. We didn’t make a big deal because we thought customer service is like that but then a group 5-7 elder indian men walked in, she came out of her counter and wished them, gave them menus. We were shocked about why she didn’t treat us the same way. And we order floating, yummy idly and dosas. We were having our idly and was patiently waiting for dosa. She was serving the indian men . After like 15 minutes, mu friend asked her about dosa and she responded am serving the people ( indian men and was serving dosa’s) over there. We didn’t understand because we order way before them. We felt bad and confused. I don’t know like whether they’re some important to the restaurant or not. We felt belittled by her. And coming to food, Idlys are good but dosa is too bland. I would want to go back but decided not to because of poor customer service.

A must visit if you love South Indian food or are keen on trying south Indian food. The off menu items like upma and poori reminds me more of the taste of home something I would any day recommend for people to try. My favorite though is the Magic Masala Dosa. The people there are very friendly and always there to answer any questions that you may have. So if you are in town or live here in Houston, I would request you to visit the place as I am sure that you will love it.

What’s more to get than freshly made idli’s and Dosa at such little expense. The mango lassi is made well, not a wee bit of a taste of heavy cream but only fresh mango flavor and yogurt. Plus the resto owner is so considerate that he has noticed that I am working on my laptop and came and offered me Wi-Fi password without even me asking. Amazing customer service. I’d have given a 100 star if there’s chance. I’d totally recommend this.

I had an incredible breakfast experience at Flying Idlis restaurant! The Kanjipuram and stuffed idli was a delightful burst of flavors, and the dosa was simply heavenly. The food was not only tasty but also served promptly by the friendly staff. Highly recommended for anyone looking to savor authentic South Indian cuisine.

Frying Idlis is a popular restaurant that specializes in South Indian cuisine, particularly idlis. They offer a range of idlis, including the classic plain idli, rava idli, masala idli, and kanchipuram idli. We tried the restaurant for the second time and both the time we left the place with positive and delicious experience. FOOD😍 The taste of the food is great. The menu has been carefully crafted that caters to the taste buds of different people. Whether you like spicy food or like the regular food with the low level of spice, you will be able to find the food for you. SERVICE 👏 The owner and the staff both are cheerful and provide the best service. When I mention about service, I consider the below checklist - - Do they know about their food well and they are able to answer your questions satisfactorily. - Do they deliver the food within the timeframe that they claim - Do the tables, plates, spoon and the surrounding is clean enough for you to eat. - Are they friendly and approachable. They went above and all. Great job. Overall, Frying Idlis is a great place to indulge in some creative and delicious idlis that are sure to tantalize your taste buds!

Starting with the food itself, the bullet Idlis are amazing! At times I'll ask for it a little charred which makes the outside a but crispy. That matched with the softness and aromatic flavors makes this my favorite dish! Kris is a self starter so don't be too critical when you first walk into this location. It's a work in progress but still very accommodating and humble. I look forward to my next meal from the flying Idlis!!

Good place for good healthy break fast. Idlies (Indian rice cakes) are awesome with authentic Indian taste. I really liked peanut chutney they serve with idlies and dosa. The only downside is this place closes at 2:30 pm.

The server staff training has a lot to be desired. Simple things like confirming (summarizing) the order before walking off the table seem alien to them. Then they suggest we should make sure we clearly communicate the order. The food was meh, and the idly dough was a little too sour for our taste.

This is a cheap mom and pop store, where you don't go for service. However, one expects authentic food taste and quality. I found food taste to be very average. Had puri and aloo bhaji - puris well done but aloo bhaji was below average. Coconut chutney wasn't even worth taking a bite as it lacked any taste. Filter coffee was better and helped me get through the breakfast.

A very nice place to start your day. They serve South Indian dishes specifically idles 😉. The restaurant opens at 07:00 AM. The owner is very customer friendly, he came and asked us if everything is good… nice gesture. There are lot of South Indian food options available however I specifically like bowl of their original flying idlis and uttapam.

Amazing and wonderful food! If you are ever in the mood for Desi breakfast/brunch this is the place to go to. We ordered a bunch of food and every item we ordered was very good. Even my parents who don’t really like Indian food here in the States loved how good the food was. The only one not pictured was the Magic Floating Idli. It tasted very good, and they gave it on the side, for us to add the idlis into the sambar. The sambar was a little watery, but tasted good. The Magic Idli had the podi which wasn’t too spicy, but taste good. Both the dosas were very good, crisp and soft in the between, and it vanished from the plate very fast. The upma was made with ghee, which tasted heavenly and just spilled out of your tongue. The coffee was very good, not really filter coffee but it was Desi coffee and it tasted good. The puri was a little thicker than usual, but still tasted good. The potato for the puri was the same as the one they gave in the dosa, but still tasted good. If you are ever in Houston, do not forget to visit Flying Idlis for a complete Indian South Indian breakfast.
