In Gusto Gourmet you can find a really good combination of yummy food and this attention that all Venezuelan people enjoyed in our land. Beside they have Mediterranean food so you can vary. I recommended this restaurant 💯.

The only reason I give 4 is because the portion size is a tad bit small compared to other South American restaurants. Prices are competitive and the service is quick. Just a bit pricey. When going to park just know u will have to park behind the building.

Excellent place, it is small but super cozy and clean. The attention is super good and friendly. The food is delicious, the patacon maracucho with shredded meat is divine, the empanadas are very good (my favorite is the cazon). The tequenos and arepas are also good. You have a wide variety of Venezuelan food, as well as some traditional desserts and sweets.

The food was decent. The flavor is nothing I would come back for. The beans were a little undercooked, the eggs were fine, but I could have made the same thing at home and not paid $50 for it. The drinks taste store bought. The staff is friendly which is why I give it a 3/5.

The food was okay. I didn’t think there was a lot of flavor. The beans were a little undercooked, the eggs were fine, but I could have made the same thing at home and not paid that much for it. Overpriced. The staff is friendly which is why I give it a 3/5.

Decided to stop by while we were in town and we will definitely be back!! The tequeños & arepas were very good. So glad I ordered the orange juice it was the most natural one I’ve ever tasted, my boyfriend ordered coke and ended up getting an orange juice too because it was just that good! The owner is very sweet and made sure to check in if we were doing good.

Amazing authentic Venezuelan food. The tequeños and arepa pelua were outstanding!!! Loved the chicha too! So glad to have this great place in the neighborhood!

The food we ate here was some of the best food I have ever had in my life! For all those that have to eat gluten free, like me, this is the place to be. Pretty much everything is gluten free. Would highly recommend the Pabellon Arepa and the Nutella Empenadas!!

I wanted to try new foods and came here since I pass it up all the time! The sweet lady at the front gave me a few good recommendations. I got the chicken antojo maracucho (it came with 4 but I already dug in lol) and they’re so good!! Also the message they hand wrote on the front made me smile. :)

Strolling down the street while at the car wash, I saw this place and walked in. Fast and friendly greeting from the owner. Great recommendations and food. Came out hot, and was as described. Great flavors and presentation!

As an avid foodie, it's not every day that I stumble upon a restaurant that truly captivates my taste buds. However, Gusto Gourmet "Fresh Fusion to Go" is a delightful exception. This charming, hole-in-the-wall eatery, nestled in the vibrant Upper Kirby area, offers a unique blend of Mediterranean and Venezuelan cuisine. My dining experience was kicked off by their Arepa Pabellón, a mouthwatering concoction of tender shredded beef, creamy black beans, ripe avocado, and melt-in-your-mouth hand cheese, all encased within a warm, handmade arepa. The flavors harmoniously danced on my palate, leaving me craving more. Equally impressive was La Pelua, a delectable arepa generously stuffed with succulent shredded beef, a medley of gooey shredded cheese, and a drizzle of homemade cilantro sauce. This heavenly delight was a perfect fusion of flavors and textures that left my taste buds singing. Be mindful of the street parking, but valet is available for those seeking convenience. Gusto Gourmet has undoubtedly earned a spot on my list of favorites. I eagerly anticipate my next visit!

The food here is amazing! Excellent arepas. All the food options are delicious. Also if you've never had soursop juice, treat yourself.

A Scrumptious Surprise in Upper Kirby - Gusto Gourmet If you're in the mood for an unforgettable culinary adventure, look no further than Gusto Gourmet "Fresh Fusion to Go." Tucked away in the lively Upper Kirby district, this cute, unassuming eatery offers a brilliant medley of Venezuelan and Mediterranean flavors that are sure to excite even the most discerning of palates. The Arepa Pabellón was nothing short of extraordinary. Picture this: a freshly made arepa packed with juicy shredded beef, velvety black beans, buttery avocado, and divine hand cheese. Each bite was an explosion of taste and texture that left me speechless. Next up was La Pelua, a heavenly combination of moreish shredded beef, rich, gooey shredded cheese, and a zesty cilantro sauce, all nestled within a perfect, golden arepa. This dish was a taste sensation that I couldn't get enough of. Parking can be a bit tricky, as it's mostly on the street, but there's always the option to valet if you prefer. Gusto Gourmet is a must-try for anyone seeking a truly remarkable dining experience. I can't wait to return for another round of their delectable delights!

Cozy little place, super clean, friendly staff, great food... we discovered this place on a whim and was happily impressed. Definitely coming back next time I'm in Houston... Edit: Just wanted to point out that the business owner may have made some enemies... there's literally 2 low score reviews 2 months apart with the same pictures and same comments word for word.

Best Venezuelan food around. Tequeños are by far the best I’ve tried - and their golfeado is to die for. Not only is it delicious Venezuelan food but the service is also incredible - Oriana, the lady that works there, is super friendly, profesional and always has good recommendations. Can’t wait to go back.

Excellent food, remarkable attention and cleanliness. I'm venezuelan and can assure you will taste here, a superb sample of venezuelan typical food. We'll come back for sure.

Should be zero. I had high hopes for this place, but was an extremely let down. First, the lady working there was rude. Secondly, the food was bad, it was bland and they only gave me one SMALL container of sauce for the tequenos. Really, one SMALL, like 2oz container for 6 tequenos. The tequenos tasted like the frozen ones also. There are better Venezuelan eateries in the Houston area than this place. Thirdly, it was expensive. For the quality and quantity of the food recieved, I feel cheated. So they have the trifecta of suckage.

Quick and flavorful food. Good portion. Cachapa has more like a pancake texture a little bit on the dryer side for my taste but good flavor. Plantains tequenos amazing, really good.

Without a doubt the best Venezuelan spot in town. Just like Venezuela, this place has a a unique ethnic mix that can be tasted. Venezuelan-Mediterranean 🔥🔥🔥 Sin ninguna duda el mejor lugar de comida Venezolana en Houston.

The empanadas are amazing!! I can never bring myself to try anything else on the menu because the empanadas are so delicious - I always get the chicken empanadas (with the delicious dipping sauce) and the Nutella ones for dessert. And they’re gluten free! I have Celiac and have never had any issues after eating here. This is definitely a favorite spot whenever I’m downtown!

I had a last minute call for a reunion, I needed quite a few amount if tequeños and other things to bite. Gusto Gourmet was able to accommodate my request. Everything was delicious and everybody love it!

Nada como un desayuno Venezolano. Muy rica la comida. If you don't know what to try, get the Cachapas, or a Patacon. Can't go wrong with those.

Had high hopes for this place but the waitress was extremely rude and not professional was so ever. Since we were a larger party it took a while for everyones order to be taken and this seemed to stress her out, she even told one of the members in our party to “hurry up and order” NOT something you want to hear when going to try a new place! Our entire experience was negative, such that I did not feel comfortable requesting forgotten items or asking questions in general. A suggestion for the owners, maybe have 2 people at the front so one is not overwhelmed, especially over the weekends. I feel like Oriana needs to show more customer service, needless to say we will not be back!

I can’t wait to go back!! I got an arepa with beef, black beans and plantains and it exceeded my expectations! Such good food, it reminded me of my suegra’s cooking!

This place is so yummy and amazing - truly a hidden gem! I always get the falafel tostada and an arepa and sometime the arroz con leche. One of my favorite places and go to in Houston. I have ordered here so many times and there's never a change in flavors or quality. I'd recommend to order over the phone vs online.
