Love the gravel running trail. Wish there were more like it around. Lots of open space. Not a ton in the shade department though.

I love running along this section of Tom Bass park. It's very scenic, adjacent to the golf course and has a couple of duck ponds, a dog park, tons of beautiful trees, a great walking/running trail several play grounds, family gathering areas equip with BBQ pits & restrooms, a huge hill and a huge outdoor theater. There is even a wheelchair accessible ramp in one of the family gathering areas so more of the park can be enjoyed by the family member that needs this. Even with all of that, my absolute favorite thing is the running trail material. It's so easy on my joints since it is not asphalt or concrete that I can go for a daily run without injuries. And section one encompasses such a large area, it makes it easy to exercise and maintain social distance. I think this section of the park is a hidden gem that others should explore more. By the way, I've seen two armadillos, tons of robins, a family of six deer, ducks and a crane. So you'll never know what you'll see while you're there.

Clean. Empty. And so big. I take my 4 dogs to train here. They have a dog park, a theater, play grounds, picnic tables, trails, tennis. Its worth going. They have a cute little pond

The family and I went this past weekend for basketball and tennis. The park was not packed and we were able to play on the court without interruption. There was a yoga class and some other outdoor activities and everyone was teally nice. There's also a really big dog park woth plenty of room to for the animal to play and feel safe. The trail is gravel and was a nice walk after we cooled off. Great park and will probably go monthly.

The play grounds were well maintained, picnic tables were in good condition, restrooms were OK, and the scenic view from the top of the small hill was lovely with unexpected distant view of Houston downtown. We liked this park and visited here to picnic a few times. However, I had my car broken in. It was Friday around 6pm. In the parking lot next to the dog park. A door's window was completely gone, shuttered in pieces, but nothing was stolen (I did not leave any valuables in the car) and nobody was hurt. Looking around, I saw some other glasses spilled in the parking lot which is suggesting that I was not the first victim. Please be careful. I hope the responsible people be caught, and this park become safe to visit in near future.

I came to Tom Bass for the Tennis Courts, but could quickly see why people enjoy the park. There is plenty of space, and not too many people. The courts are decent enough to practice or play practice matches.

New photos of Tom Bass Regional Park - Section 1. A new trail has been built. It's a winding trail with nice surroundings. Very enjoyable. And don't forget to let bring your furry friends to the park's dog park.

Enjoyed this park a year ago and always been a good place to run. Didn’t know about the seasonal time change and has been a good year since I’ve been back. As I finish my run I had the officer pretty force me out of the park without much explanation besides the fact that they were closed and I had to “get the heck* out”now. (Along with the fact I was holding people up apparently even though that wasn’t the case and it was only about 7:10 so over 10 mins)… in the end I got in my car and to make things even better he literally had his car right behind mine (almost close to the bumper) as if he wanted me to speed out the park even though the limit is 20 and I’m already shaken up by the fact he approached me with the high beams and telling me to get out so that didn’t help. Overall the officer could have done the approach differently and explain to me about the seasonal time change but instead ignored my comment about how the last time I was there the closing time was always 9pm. That’s not the way staff or an officer should treat someone and especially after the person explains the fact that they didn’t know and apologizes for the confusion. Disappointed if this is how the people that work there treat everyone and won’t be returning back to the park.
