They have superb customer service and there are a lot of young people working there. They do a great job representing HEB. I felt comfortable shopping there and would recommend others to too. And did i forget to mention they have one of my favorite grow kits "Back To The Roots" It practically grows anything... And they have it at a great price. #2real4yall

Pork sandwich were excellent. Shrimp lo-mein ver delicious,soups, and eggrolls the best.

this HEB has gone down like a good shrimp dinner. The meat 🍖 is horrible. They don't keep certain items in stock or don't sell at all, I guess, because it's predominantly a Hispanic area. The store is dirty and super crowded.

The only thing that stops me from coming more often is the parking and the traffic by the entrance and exit. Drivers are just terrible and the parking lot has a weird design making it hard to find good parking and feel safe walking towards HEB.

Teahouse Tapioca & Tea opened on 1/18/2018 if you like tea & tapioca this is the place. Nice & clean just opened. They serve some food also but kind of limited. They have a nice sitting area they also have board games that can be checked out at the counter. Thanks for reading, clicking like is appreciated.

Love this HEB. They are always stocked and clean. Great meat choices and prices!!! Perfect place for steaks. The jalapeno poppers are my all time favorite. Love that you can buy them already pre made ready to just pop in the tray and put in the oven.

I love H‑E‑B, unfortunately this location is really old and need some attention. Also the staff is not as helpful as I’d like. Especially when the pay rate has went up, I just expected the morale to go up as well, but it didn’t not! Get it together Gulfgate. Fresh produce, and good food ready to eat. Next to some good eats as well

Everything in this store is perfectly organized and fresh. The quality of customer service is gr8...... And the prices are good compared to going to Fiesta or Walmart.... You really should go and see for yourself... You won't be disappointed or broke after you leave. It really is a GR8 store to shop at...

I have mixed feelings about this location...it all starts in the parking lot which is usually a mess, then once inside some areas may look dirty or unorganized and not like you can just go in and out...there's typically long lines. The only reason I have to make myself go here is because it's the closest location to home, but not my preference. The only plus, most of the employees I've interacted with are friendly and helpful.

I go to this HEB location bcus it's closest to my home if I hop on the freeway and I already know it from previous visits. They're always stocked for what I need at least. I've never had an incident here.

Love my neighborhood HEB. Only wish it had more Prime beef selections. I have to go to another HEB in a more "influential" part of town to get my Prime steaks. FYI don't go on the 1st or 15th days of the month, trust me.

Stopped to get a watermelon for my grandchildren and as always, I spent more than I wanted. HEB had good selections on all foods

HEB normally has fresh fruits and vegetables. And organic section. You are not at a loss for finding help. There is always someone in the fridge fruits and vegetable section turning over new product taken out the bad product it's a beautiful thing to see.

Had to get an oil change for my car. The staff was very friendly and timely. I arrived at 8:30 am and service was completed in 45 minutes.

Prices are good. Produce and fruits are always fresh. Shelves are fully stocked every time. NO WAITING IN LONG LINES...

Always go here to get ice cream, hebs "Swoon" brand is the BEST ice cream ever. Their "Creamy Creations" is the next best thing ice cream - wise.

This area was the place to be in the late 50's and 60's. Then the Galleria opened in 1970 and everyone wanted to go there instead. Gulfgate held its own until the 90's when a very slow decline began to erode the entire area. Fortunately the HEB's, Pappa's BBQ, Dot's and other restaurants and stores remained open. With the city easing 610/45 access and the opening of several popular chain restaurants at Gulfgate this area is now booming! There is plenty of free parking, easy access, and great shopping here. You can also visit a doctor or dentist, get your hair cut, grab an ice cream, or enjoy a smoothie!

Food was very good, Eggplant Parmagiana with pasta was excellent, salad was crisp and fresh, breadsticks were delicious.

Tbh, jts one of the best HEBs I've been to. My husband had never been and it was a fun experience. They had everything we needed too! Kroger goes out of stock quickly sometimes but HEB seems to always be in stock thank goodness!

It really meets most expectations, I apologize I've been spoiled too long & always going only to the HEB Montrose location. Still well above average in most areas, so thank you for that necessary long-term consistency.

I can't say nothing about this at pantry cuz we did not go in it we was on over there by it we never walked in the store but the parking lot was pretty full and people walking out in front of you be careful other people walking in front of you at this ATV pantry

Never been here before, but it was convenient for my Queen. Took us a while to find Best Buy...we almost got lost, she was driving, of course..lol

The layout of this HEB is unusual. Things can be hard to find. It is very busy and crowded. The cashier let my items get smashed by things because she was using a heavy box of trash bags to block the light for the automatic conveyor. I asked her 3 times to please be careful and not let my items get smashed. She snapped at me that I should not have put so much on the belt. Uhm... The box you refuse to move is the reason this is happening. I moved the box and handed it to her and said, see now, problem solved. Haha. She must have been having a rough day. Usually, the customer service is great. I have shopped here 3 times in the past few months and I am still learning where things are. I am glad there is an HEB close enough to get groceries. I like the selection and quality available at HEB. The HEB brand is good quality.

I did not go to this specific HEB but in general I love HEB for buying fruits and vegetables. They are usually less expensive and they also have some of the unusual things like guava and other tropical fruits for example. The store is clean and immaculate but you don't pay more for the fancy setting. It is also a good place to buy gasoline if you're not a member of Costco or Sam's club. I mainly buy fruits and vegetables there so I am not sure how it compares to other grocers in the other departments. They also have good sales (or I should say they had good sales before the supply chain disruption that we are in). I'm hoping they will go to having these sales after things get back to normal. If you eat a lot of fruits and vegetables, this place is highly recommended.

Always hear my family that lives in TX talk so highly of H.E.B but this store is not a good representation. Went here early evening to see what its all about. I was no impressed. The store had a weird smell and was in disarray. Walked around the area the hot food would be there was a puddle something red spilled and trailed across the floor while several employees stood chatting with the ones cleaning the hot tray. No caution sign around the mess and no one attempting to clean it up. The produce department was not appealing. I ended up leaving with nothing. Told my family and she had to go there herself to witness and said its not normally like this but I cannot get the experience out of my head.

Lowes gave me the worst customer service. I had to wait 30 mins only to hear the item isn't in stock. The cashier, the shift leader and shift manager all failed on every level. Shop small hardware stores. The customer service is superior on every level.

I shop they're almost every week and definitely every month they always have what I need and I saved money when I shop Thanks HEB for being in the neighborhood and helping us provide for our kids and yours employees

HEB is a nice quiet place where the workers are very friendly and willing to help. They don't play when you're waiting in line but the line move freely. Can't say I like the parking but that's with almost any shopping mall.

Selection is better than some other stores, but not as good as other HEB locations. Price of the sushi is a bit high. Plenty cashiers to make checkout fast.

This HEB store located at Gulf Gate Mall. Is one of the best super centers my wife and I go to do all our major grocery shopping. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The store is always cleaned and well stocked. Kenneth R. Bishop and family

This HEB is always out of stock of something. And for some reason the eggs are always broken. They had no cokes last time I went and that's primarily what I went for. Had to go to Family Dollar. This is the closest grocery store to me, so I have to settle for what they have. I've never had a problem with the customer service. It's always been great. It'd just be great if they kept the groceries in stock better.

It’s a clean & spacious grocery store, it’s they need to hirer more employees for those cash registers. It doesn’t make any sense to only have a few employees on the cashier’s machine. I would give it five if they highly trained more “cashiers”!

No self check out. Yay! Broad selection in produce. I couldn't find any duct tape, lol. But, it's okay. A step up from most stores. Good selection, good sales. But higher prices for having better service.

This place is a bit over priced on lots of items compared to other stores and almost all the time the fruit looks better than it taste fresh isn't always ripe for these people🤔 !

I like going to the Gulfgate shopping strip, sometimes at night I don't feel safe.. Maybe they should add more security.. It's actually convenient and there are plenty of Shop's to visit..

HEB and Doneraki are my go to places in Gulf gate shopping center after I get off work. Picking up groceries for the week and getting a bite to eat before I go home because I don't want to cook lol.

The only HEB in the city with a wedding/special occasion cake designer. My daughters 3 tier cake(feeds 100) was only $120. A steal!

This HEB is amazing. Highly recommend over Walmart. If you been to Walmart on wayside you know why. This HEB is well staffed well stocked and orderly. Easy to find help and the fresh market associates are wonderful

The customer service for the pharmacy department is atrocious. All the staff are asinine And I fail to understand the reasoning for the things they do. This location needs to do better because the public deserves better.

KFC across from Gulfgate Mall. Now I remember why I don't go there. For the price, it would not be worth it if it was good. It was not good. I got a chicken breast. It was cooked in grease that was so old and used that the chicken was just about black on the outside. There was no point in getting another one because the next would be about the same. The people working there appeared to be just trying to get through the day and not trying to do a good job. In a word indifference.

Has a little bit of everything and memories from decades past. Shoe Carnival is great, don't leave without checking the sales racks in the rear of the store.

Went to Marshals dis not expect it to be as clean and Organized as it was. The Pasadena location on Beltway 8 need to take Lessons from here. Actually enjoyed shopping there.
