Best place for Mall walkers in Houston. Also best dead mall experience in Houston. Great place to get your mind off some things. Entrance is on the opposite side of the Dillard's. Left of the movie theater.

It was quite disappointing to see so many closed doors on this day of New Year's Day holiday. Food court was not open neither. Lights (and music) were still on for a handful of stores that opened today and also for safety reasons. I could see the mall had good bones with nice structures and decorations, thriving plants, and clean floors. It is also conveniently located on Hwy 6 and not far away from large communities such as Cinco Ranch. Having said that, it sadly reminded me of declining shopping malls in America in general. Feb 2023 updates: this mall had finally met its last leg of the inevitable downward spiral. Only four small shops opened this Saturday afternoon while Dillard's and Crazy Boss locked their back door access to the mall. It felt like a haunted mall but what I was really afraid were potentially some criminals hiding around a corner waiting for their prey.

There is not much to shop here. Over the years this place has been looking more and more like a ghost town. All the good business are leaving and and replacing them with empty closed stores. So far their is a few good stores their that are a jewelry store, Victoria’s Secret, and a Dillard’s outlet. Everything else is pretty much below scale.

Y’all I was SO bummed out, we went to West Oaks Mall last weekend only to find out it’s almost completely closed down! There was a Dillards and I think a Macys left open that was it, it’ll all be gone soon! This used to be my high school stomping grounds mall, I wanted to check it out after so long and I was bummed to see it closed down! Good thing Olive Garden was next door and ready for some hungry guests!

Came to the store just because of the Clarence items that they were selling. I was surprise to find a big and tall section with lots of items as well as men's and lady's shoes. All sections stacked to the ceiling with merchandise. Everything was on sale, and there was a bargain around every corner. Most stores have a small clearance section, but this store has everything on Clarence. Very great experience and I spent more money than I had planned.

So sad to see this once thriving mall pretty much deserted. It was actually unnerving to be in there pretty much by myself. I went because Fine Fix, my jewelry repair expert is still there. When he moves, I'll never go back unless the mall somehow comes back to life

I’ve been going to West Oaks since the early 90s and it’s a shame to see the skeleton it has become today. This place used to be prime up until about the 2010s. The whole mall had 2 stores open on a Sunday afternoon…Everything else was either closed, vacant, or looked like a storage unit. I got a lot of flea market vibes! I don’t believe anything was open in the food court at the time either. West Oaks had a very dead, dark, and eerie atmosphere to it. The air was musty and stagnant, I guess they cut the ac off to cut costs. I noticed lights were dimmed or out, very few people around, and security looked to be non-existent. This place is starting to look perfect for criminal activity. So please go with someone or keep a good eye over your shoulder. I would not recommend West Oaks at all! At this point they might as well just shut the place down. You are much better and safer going to Katy Mills, First Colony, or Memorial City Mall.

It's desolate! Which is great for creatures like i, whom truly detest crowds. Nice walk spot. Nothing is open, just the latrine. Would rate 10/5

This mall used to have stores in the early 2000’s such as a Disney store, Limited Too, Foot Action, etc. West Oaks Mall then was thriving was always on the more sketchy side. Went back today for a nostalgic feel but it this mall has a creepy feel because of how empty it is. I really don’t see how they generate business in their.

WOW!! Dillard's has a thing going on. I bought 8 men's shirts 50%off for total of $32. You won't believe the Galleria quality for less. Of course, you have to browse, select affordable prices and I'm going back. Their prices are AMAZING.I usually shop every 3 months and save money. 😊❤️

It's with great disappointment I must review the once great mall of West Oaks has fallen! The movie theater is closed. All tennis shoe shops, food courts, and kiosks have closed or relocated elsewhere. I truly don't understand how it stays open for business with no businesses inside but it will always be my childhood favorite mall! Long before Sugarland & memorial mall were it...West Oaks Mall was the Galleria of the South West. Thank you for all the fond memories.

Once upon time, was one of the best malls nearby. So many people used to come here for the stores and food court. Nowadays it's a ghost town. Unfortunately the mall is located in a shady neighborhood. Stores experienced multiple shoplifting incidents, as a result most stores took their business elsewhere. Gone but never forgotten. Hopefully a revival of this mall will come in the future.

From the looks of it.....pretty good mall. When you go inside though unfortunately it isn't as grand as you would expect and a bit run down. At least when I went. Many of the stores were closed and there was barely anyone in the store itself

If you want to enter into a skeleton mall here it is. Only a hand full of shops open, i really mean only a handful. My guess isbit will be all closed up before the year ends.

I was so confused walking into that mall. It was deserted and the stores were all chained up as if the mall was closing. It felt like i was going to be snatched at any moment but there were like 3 stores open at 5:30pm on a Friday.

This use to be a vibrant mall but apartments and certain demographics made this mall very unsafe. Certain people come here and it is not the people that you want to shop with or be around. You could get robbed here or worst. Katy Mills and Galleria and Memorial City Mall has more police presence and if you go to this one you best be packing.

Remember going here back when it was BUSY! So sad to see it to the point where you can’t even access the actual inside of the mall anymore, only the stores on the outsides. This mall is coming to its final days until it becomes completely abandoned. Great memories tho will miss it

West Oaks Mall needs to be completely raised to the ground and the land used for a much better purpose. The demographics inside the mall is that of undesirables and hostile environment. Once all the big retailers left - this mall has been sliding into the abyss. CLOSE IT DOWN.

I went here without reading the reviews. I thought it was going to be a good mall coz of the name. Pretty much everything is closed. I wouldn't recommend going to this mall.

Went to crazy boss because everything else is shut down. Crazy Boss is like a knock off Marshall's. They have great prices, but they have a no-return policy. Was disappointed that they don't have restrooms in the store considering how big it is. They only have 3 dressing rooms.

I haven’t been here in years but I was raised in the neighborhood just behind the mall. This was my happy place when I was a kid! The Christmas lights and games! Oh the tree climb and arcade used be so fun! Do you ever get sad when you see places you once loved deteriorate? I’m heartbroken what has become this place and I’m waiting anxiously to see what will become of it. I’ll never forget you krazy color ice cream from the shady ice cream store circa 2008!

Dillard's Outlet!!!!!! Hooray for 50%off of a lot of their merchandise. Labor Day . West Oaks Mall is quiet, no parking issues, and store opens at 12.☺️😀😊 It's a laid back mall No crowds, some of the stores in the mall are convenient for the community Movie theatre, Dillard Outlet, browse the shops inside mall Carnivals every now and then. Nearby, there's Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Best Buy, 99¢ store, Popeyes, etc.

Went to the theater, not the mall. Always a good time. Everyone is courteous and professional. Theaters are always clean.

Very great prices! I went to shop at the outlet and I found really good clothes, items, etc, at low prices. 100% recommend to anyone

Why is this mall still open. Parking lot is almost 100% empty. I know there are small stores in there but something big should be done with it. Yes yes location location location... Do something about it!!!🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

Five stars overall. I feel like it hit a turning point when Alamo left. Even with a new movie theater. It still looks nice from when it was remodeled extensively in the 00's. And there are some nice small businesses. It's sad that in person retail is dying. This was the place to be in west houston in the 90s. I think to save it they would need a new department store. Or department store concept. Memorial City has seen worse days.

👍👍 They have superb customer service and there are a lot of young people working there. They do a great job representing HEB. I felt comfortable shopping there and would recommend others to too. And did i forget to mention they have one of my favorite grow kits "Back To The Roots" It practically grows...
