Man the food was amazing and it was hip and they made sure you felt at home the whole time. While I was in line they had drinks available and great music. The star of this place is the food I had the bowl and my chicken was tender and able to cute with a plastic knife! The turkey leg was tender and seasoned all the way through! This is a must-see, touch, taste and smell for yourself!

Finally made it here, I wanted to see what all the hype was about, and I must admit the food was EVERYTHING!!! We did have to wait for about 30 minutes in line outside, but it wasn’t that bad because of the benches outside. By time we made it in, we were seated right away. My waitress was awesome, and it took literally 10 to 15 minutes and we had our food. Everything taste amazing. The only thing is the rice dressing was extremely spicy, but the waitress warned me lol. This place is so lively, and the vibe is peaceful. I would definitely recommend this place.

There was a short wait in line for service. I heard all good things about this black-owned restaurant and had to see what the fuss was all about. The servers come and tell you how the food is prepared and offer you a list of drinks. It's a bit of a wait but worth it. I got the stuffed seafood turkey leg. The only thing i didn't like was the fact my pasta was cold and my turkey leg hot. Other than that I enjoyed the atmosphere an d the food was plenty to take home.

Oh hell yeah. Amazing food, great service, and atmosphere. Large portions so you’ll have plenty left over for later. I went with the Cajun Bowl and my wife had the classic hamburger. Both were amazing. The Mac and Cheese was hands down, the best I’ve ever had. We also had the swamp fries with pork. They were damn good as well. Can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu.

Great place. Let me say that I'm only giving 4 stars because the turkey legs didn't have a robust smoke flavor that I prefer and the parking is terrible. I realize this is preference, but I can't give 4.5 stars 🤷🏽‍♂️. Nevertheless, the atmosphere is great and the service was phenomenal. The meat certainly peeled off the bone as advertised, which was great.

Everything we ordered was wonderful! The service was very professional and fast. I think depending on the time it can be very busy and a waiting line but that was not the case for us. Ordered the Alfredo stuffed turkey leg and the crawfish mac stuffed leg. Also had a stuffed baked potatoe and a Cajun bowl which was my favorite. Turkey legs were very tender and everything was just wonderful. Will definitely return again.

The food is always amazing. The sounds you make when taste each bite is like stamping a moment in time, you'll never forget it. The line, not so much. They also need to work on getting food out in a timely manner considering how long you wait to be seated. It is an experience unlike any other. I definitely appreciate the ice and water as you wait. They've got lots of benches as well. For naysayers, it is definitely worth the wait. You are getting your 💰 worth and their customer service is impeccable.

This was the best Turkey leg I’ve ever had. I believe it was the Cajun mac n cheese leg, so tender with crawfish. We went early on a Friday there was no wait with immediate seating inside. Our server was nice and very helpful. We sat down ordered food and a drink, once the drink was received we had our meals less than 5 minutes later. The Cajun bowl was fire too with rice, mac, shrimp and salmon. Food was piping hot. The serving size was huge i think i ate 3 times off the one entree. Well worth the wait, price and visit. Parking in their lots costs $20 via cash or cash app. They have an enclosed patio with heaters outside. Whenever I’m in town I’ll definitely visit again.

First time visiting and enjoyed myself. The wait time for us was not long as we got there at the perfect time. Once seated, the table was clean and service for beverages was provided in a timely manner. Only wait was for the food which is expected if you want your food cooked correctly. The presentation and scent of the food when served was great. The taste of the food and drinks was amazing. I recommend coming here often and trying different flavors.

Definitely worth the hype. We went in the middle of a weekday, so there wasn't a wait and food came out quick. The turkey legs here are phenomenal and lives up to their reputation. The shrimp alfredo turkey leg is their signature leg, but their shrimp is just okay. The portion is ginormous, so one leg can last two meals for two people! We got a side of spinach to balance the meat. Highly recommend this place and glad we got to try it!

My go-to in the city!! It’s a vibe-every time. The buffalo lemon pepper and jerk wings kick like Jackie Chan. The swamp fries are good now and later. The catfish is always good. The frozen beverages are like soft serve ice cream, so don’t order one unless you have time for them to loosen up a bit. Or, you can do what I do- double up on the straws and go to work. I have always dined outside, but have gone in for the restroom-which is always clean and fully stocked. I love the waitstaff!!! Everyone has positive energy, and they work well together. I only know about paid parking, which I noticed varies in cost depending on day/time. Enjoy!!!

Wow! I had long heard how this place was a standout, and that’s verifiably true. The service is warm and welcoming, always nearby. The food is crazy good - every stuffed or combo dish we had is equivalent to two or three elsewhere and the flavors just meld together perfectly. The Henessey glazed leg is a perfect mix of sweetness, pinch of kick, and tang of BBQ that is just right. Swamp fries are a nice starter covered in cheese and grilled chicken with spices. Drinks are very good as well with a wide selection to meet your preferred tastes. Just go, we shouldn’t have waited so long.

Turkey leg hut is one of my favorite places to eat in Houston or anywhere really. It's not just their turkey legs that are good either. Have yet to try anything off their menu I didn't like. Service is good too. Me and my lady decided to eat in their outside dining area last time we went for lunch which is set up nicely with overhead covering and music. They have hookah if you're into that. There's quite a line here on the weekends just as a heads up. Parking can be hard to find too. Parking is not free. But even when they're busy, they're usually pretty good about keeping the line moving.

Chill atmosphere. Not much of a drink menu. We ordered the Famous Leg, Cajun Bowl with salmon and shrimp plus the shrimp Alfredo Turkey leg. Everything came out in less than 10 minutes. Parking across the street was $20, although there’s a possibility of negotiating. Overall solid experience

Definitely lives up to its name! Turkey legs are large and literally ‘Fall-off-the-bone’ good! Everything is absolutely seasoned to perfection. Even the in the Turkey. The inside aesthetics was a very warm and homey feel. Photos of the owners and memorabilia are plastered everywhere. Very lively place, great for large gatherings too. Service was good. Glad for the experience:)

The experience is worth it. The food is good and they have much more than turkey legs. Definitely sit outside to get the full vibe. Make reservations ahead of time to avoid the long line, which was wrapped around the building when we got there. The reservation process is a bit cumbersome but it's worth walking by the line for sure! They have hookahs and frozen drinks. It's very crowded but we came for it...lol. The loaded fries were my favorite!

Waitress was nice. We had reservations & no wait. The frozen drink was good & strong. The Turkey Leg was seasoned well & tender. The Dirty Rice had a nice spice to it but I didn't care for the consistency of the rice (it was mushy). The fried fish was the best! We also got the Ceasar Salad with grill chicken & shrimp, they was not cheap with the meats either. I will definitely return.

Hands down the best turkey leg I've ever experienced! I had the Crawfish Mac and cheese stuffed turkey leg, my absolute favorite! Monday is closed, so travelers beware if you plan on visiting. We came this time on a Tuesday when they opened at 11am. It was perfect. Great for family and friends celebrations. The music is great. They have a live band playing at times (we had gone the 1st time on a Wednesday evening). They also have a drink menu with alcoholic beverages.

I really enjoyed it here. I wish I knew this little jewel existed all those other times I came to visit Texas. I will be sure to vote again. I had the famous turkey leg and the meat was falling off its bone! The sauces they have are a bit on the spicy side, so keep that in mind. The fries were delicious as well and the drinks. This place is a must go to!! The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the seats hurt your but sitting in theme. (The high chairs).

Would have gave the place a 5, but the owner was not friendly to my husband. He was a bald guy and when my husband tried to make conversation with him, he pretty much brushed him off. Our waitress Asia was phenomenal! The other workers there were amazing and friendly as well. They checked on us and made sure we enjoyed our food. The owner should get involved and associate with the people that supports his business. Also, the turkey leg was pretty good and full of flavor. I also didn’t like the fact that we weren’t told before ordering that they only accept credit cards. I feel like that should be mentioned before people order in case they only have cash. We’re from out of town so we mainly had cash. Other than that, it’s still a great place.

The turkey leg hut was another place my family and I decided to try while visiting the Houston area. My rating of 4 stars was because; the only thing I enjoyed was the stuffed Turkey leg. The tacos were not good and the turkey sandwich was not good. The waitress allowed me to order something. The drinks are really good be sure to order the mango swirl. Stick to the stuffed Turkey legs.

1/18/23: First time visiting. We stopped by during late afternoon, and it wasn't too busy. Street parking was a bit of a challenge. Unfortunately, the parking spots next to the restaurant are taken up by TLH restaurant vehicles. We walked by the outside dining area, sat at the bar, and noticed that they have several dining areas, inside and out. We ordered our food, and it didn't take long. Our food was fresh and piping hot. Nice size portions. I understand that this place gets really busy on the weekends, so I'm glad that we had an opportunity to check it out during the week.

Awesome food. We got it to go and the food lasted us all day. They give you a ton of food. Will be going back for the dessert to try next. The wait was quick. We chose to park across the street as it was our 1st time visiting the area. The cashier was nice and very helpful. The staff was helpful in telling us where to go. We ordered the stuffed turkey leg with shrimp Alfredo and the stuffed turkey leg with dirty rice and a large order of their Mac and cheese. Everything was very delicious.

The food is amazingly divine! The service is QUICK! I suggest making a reservation Friday thru Sunday. They're very friendly. I only rated the atmosphere 4 because of the major police presence there was in Feb. 2023. It's safe but that's my first time going to a restaurant that needed multiple police at the entrances and patrolling the somewhat enclosed outside waiting area. Seeing that many made me slightly paranoid and I nearly left. But I came to Houston to eat here and it was SO WORTH IT!

Nestled in the heart of Houston, The Turkey Leg Hut is an absolute gem for both meat lovers and those who typically sway towards lighter fare. As someone who doesn’t typically gravitate towards meat-heavy dishes, I was pleasantly surprised by the culinary delight that this establishment offers. The star attraction, as the name suggests, is the turkey leg. These are not your average turkey legs – they are elevated to a whole new level with a fusion of flavors that tantalize the taste buds. The creole spices used here are a game changer, offering a perfect blend of heat, aroma, and depth that infuses each bite with an unforgettable taste. It’s a bold flavor that resonates with the soul of Houston’s diverse culinary landscape. But the Turkey Leg Hut is more than just its namesake. The ambiance is welcoming and vibrant, mirroring the lively spirit of Houston itself. The staff are friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience from start to finish. The sides are thoughtfully prepared and are a great complement to the main dishes. Each dish is cooked to perfection, showcasing the quality of ingredients and the skill of the chefs. The Turkey Leg Hut is a must-visit spot in Houston. Whether you’re a meat enthusiast or someone who appreciates well-seasoned, flavorful dishes, this place will not disappoint. It’s a culinary experience that beautifully represents the melting pot of flavors that Houston is renowned for. Highly recommended!

My best friend and I traveled in from Austin to Houston and of course we had to check out the infamous Turkey Leg Hut ! Upon arrival it was packed. Now I'm from Chicago so it gave me City vibes which I loved. It was scorching hot outside but somehow I adjusted rather quickly. The line was extremely long but they sat me and my bestie rather quickly. The waitstaff was extremely polite and they kept the water coming. I did not have a huge appetite so I ordered the jerk tacos. I gave it a 4 out of 5 because they used flower shells and it was missing Avocado. Other then that it had a great taste. While there celebrities like Former NBA Hall of famer Stephen Jackson and an Avenger (I'll let you guess) graced the scene. The chill vibe and great interactions is what gives the Turkey Leg Hut a 5 star rating. You won't be disappointed.

The food was good! This our first time visiting and it did not disappoint! We had reservations and was seated immediately. The drinks were amazing. The waiter was excellent. I cannot wait to go back. I have nothing bad to say at all.

Best turkey leg I ever had. HANDS DOWN!!! 1st turkey leg I had was at Disney world as a little girl... there's not many places that sell turkey legs so whn I experienced this spot and it had me going down memory lane thinking back on that turkey leg i ate that 1 time at Disney world...but much much more tastier and tender than the one I remember. This is my new memory of an unforgettable turkey leg. 🤗😋

My trip to Houston was full of flavor! The food, service, and drinks were on point. The food came out fast. Also let me mention it's best to make a reservation on their website if you plan on going during the weekend.

If you are ever in Houston, this is a "must try" place to eat. Their food is a little spicy, but it is GREAT! They give you big portions so it is shareable. I had the turkey leg w/mac-n-cheese crawfish(so,so GOOD).The atmosphere is cool. You can be indoor(bar/pub like vibe) or outdoor(front yard, fun type vibe under a huge tent). Either way you will enjoy. Oh, yeah...their drinks 🍸 are really good, too. My ONLY issue is: the "older police guy"! He is very disrespectful and uses his badge for authority!

Houston, your hospitality is unmatched. And your food??? Incredible!!! We took a break from the convention we were attending, hopped in an Uber and headed for the Turkey Leg Hut. We wanted to experience for ourselves what the hype was all about. Trust and believe, it was worth every cent and pound I brought back to California with me. The turkey meat fell effortlessly off the bone and the sauce and dirty rice was so flavorful. I have never tasted anything like it. When we got home to Los Angeles, my husband wanted to start planning our next trip to Houston so he can make another trip to TLH. Please open a location in So Cal!! We only have so many frequent flyer miles. 😊😊

Great food and service. Small on the inside but our server was awesome. Food was really rich in flavor, maybe a bit too rich for my blood pressure. Food didn't take too long to prepare and was pretty accurate with my substitutions. Overall, being from out of town this was a must have and I am glad I did it. Would recommend.

We enjoyed the experience while visiting. No line or waiting was a plus and our food was fresh!! Our host Dimond ( I think that was her name) was super courteous. What I noticed was Turkey Leg Hut was fully staffed and smiles on their employees' faces and that speaks volumes.
