I am currently in the waiting area hooked up to an IV...I am Flu A Positive, I came in by the ambulance because the room was spinning while sitting still and I couldnā€™t see. Also when they checked me in by giving me my vitals the machine fell off and fell onto my back and hit the floor and hit behind my leg...they asked the firefighter if he was okay who was taking my vitals....not me. This is my first time here. Update: The situation actually got worse while I was there. I do not feel like typing everything that happened here...just know itā€™s not good and the nurse watched me hyperventilating crying where she then swung open my curtains and said that she is going to have to wheel me back out into the waiting room because they canā€™t hear the interpreter... which actually made me more upset. This Nursesā€™ name was Jordan. Also, I do not want the same automated message the owner submits to every complaint. I want the contact information to file a grievance.

This hospital is unorganized and slow! Took my wife to the ER as she was having chest pains and she is 6 months pregnant and we sat in the waiting room for 2 1/2 hours.. I have no triage system here. They have no urgency. And lack of Infrastructure to simply house the patients in the ER. This place is an absolute nightmare do not come here.

My mom is still in the hospital now as I write this. Our experience so far: ER was exceptionally great! Took her back right away and treated her immediately. She was admitted Wednesday night. I was staying the night with her because she is bed ridden. Upon going to the room, the women transporting her from ER told me to wait in waiting area on second floor until they get her settled in her room, someone would come get me. 30 minutes later, I was still waiting. The women who transported her stopped and asked if anyone came to get me.... Then told me where to go to find the nurses station. I asked the nursing station where my mom's room was and they pointed in the direction I needed to go. I then returned to the nurses station to ask where a light switch was so I could turn it off, and was rudely told that the nurse would be in to assist me with that?? Yesterday, we pushed the nurses button twice because my mom had to use the bathroom and NO ONE came. I went to the nurses station twice to get someone to help my mom who was laying in her accident for 20 minutes. Her whole bedding had to be changed at this point. Not long after this incident, we called the nurse directly for help with using the restroom and she said she was busy with another patient. So we called the charge nurse to ask if she could help, she said no. We asked if we could come get a bed pan and was again told no, someone would be there when Freed up.... Another accident happened. This is ridiculous. To top it all off, they tried to give my mom the same medication twice in the same day! When questioned, they saw she had already gotten it. Even admitted to it. She is still there. A family member has to stay with her around the clock because we do not trust the system that is in place here. If my mom was left alone and had to push the call button for the nurse, for assistance, NO ONE would come? What if she was unable to reach the phone and dial the number directly to the nurse? Someone needs to look into this situation. I know my mom is not the only patient on the floor, but the system in place for an elderly, bed ridden, patient is NOT acceptable! The only reason she is even in this hospital is because her pulmonologist works out of it. So far, out experience here has been terrible, with the exception of the ER. I will be adding to this review.

This has to be one of the worst hospitals in the Houston area. I passed out last night at my house called 911 and I taken here to be evaluated. When I arrived the EMS truck that I was in crashed into another EMS truck. Then the doctors dismissed all of my concerns then proceeded to yell and curse at me then I asked them to leave my room. They didn't realize my wife was on the phone and heard the whole conversation. I let them know my wife was listening then they had a shocked look on their faces. They left me in the room without checking up on me for about 2 1/2 hrs. Then they released me saying my chest CT was clear which was a lie or the doctors don't know how to read CT scans. I went the next day to the Michael Debakey VA Hospital and they found out I have pneumonia. Please don't go to this hospital they will certainly not treat you with dignity or respect. Go to a hospital that cares about their patients here at Memorial Hermann Southeast they don't care for their patients. Be safe and take care.

They need an entire staff overhaul POINT BLANK AND SIMPLE!! First time at this hospital and when I say Rude, unprofessional and all the above is an understatement. Son got in car accident and was brought in by paramedics just to be put n wheelchair and rolled to lobby was the most hurtful thing a parent could see when her child constantly crying in pain. I took pictures and video and I have recording of the rude staff. This will be on social media letting people know how this hospital has no compassion when it comes to the sick. I will be contacting all heads of this terrible place with my attorney because I seen some pretty awful things and have them recorded to show the world what people have to deal with at this place. Stay away from this hospital if u can.

This is the worse experience I have had at a hospital. The HIPPA violation in here are ridiculous. It starts with u coming in and there are 2 security guard look at the screen and listening to everything you say to the intake person. The see everything about you and whatā€™s going on with you. Second when u finally get to triage. You sit in the room with the door wide open while they talk about patients. I shouldā€™ve knew the girl in the out room is pregnant with a fetal heart rate or 145 and the transferring her to OB. Or that the other lady past out and she has a pacemaker and her daughter would let them revive her and she may die. The left the computer cart unlocked and unattended. All this before they even started my triage. When nurse practitioner final come in.Mind u I already took my pulse monitor off. They hadnā€™t had my pulse in a while. I couldnā€™t have been dead in the room. No one checked. I tell her whatā€™s wrong with me. She goes to push where I say it hurts and it hurts so bad instinctively I grab her arm. She yells out ā€œDonā€™t touch me.ā€ I apologize. Even though I shouldnā€™t have to. I told the insurance intake lady I was leaving and I could hear the nurse say she didnā€™t care. They treated me like my concerns when insignificant or not their problem. I left and they didnā€™t even know I walked out.

All all doctors & most nurses were nice & helpful... Until the night shift crew came in & the nurse that was suppose to be my nurse really treated me like I wasn't a human .. she yelled saying she didn't know I was there and if I needed help to go back out to the lobby where they will help me. I have never been treated so badly. She had light brown hair in a ponytail .

I have had The unfortunate experience of having to be in this hospital emergency room a few times. Each time I was misdiagnosed and had to get to a competent hospital on my own rather than ambulance, in order to find out what was really my problem. One of my visits I was sent home unable to walk and was told it was due to an allergic reaction to something, I actually had transverse mylitis. Due to the location where I live an ambulance will only take me to this hospital I wish that could be changed this hospital is full of incompetence

My wife was scheduled for an elective induction which turned into an emergency c-section at Memorial Hermann Southeast between June 24, 2023 and June 26, 2023. Although most of the nursing staff was exceptionally thoughtful, kind, and empathetic, there was one 'bad apple' in the bunch who tainted our experience. With that said, the more egregious complaint we have involves the anesthesiologists at this hospital. As most, if not all, people who have endured a c-section would relate, such a surgery is fairly uneventful and pain-free. Unfortunately, that was far from the case with my wife's surgery. She felt pain throughout the entirety of her operation and agonized continuously as I implored the doctor to alleviate her suffering. The anesthesiologist attempted to medicate my wife but was unable to improve her experience in the least. I was helpless as my wife lay on the operating table, screeching in pain. After I was forced from the operating room with our newborn, my mind was racked with anxiety, thinking of all the suffering my wife had just had to endure. I waited for over an hour in our room without even the slightest update before my helplessness forced me to leave and inquire about my wife's condition. Not a single person had decided it was prudent to keep me updated as to her condition or her whereabouts prior to my inquiry. When I was finally reunited with my wife, she recalled how so many of her friends and family members had assured her that a c-section would be pain-free and easy to endure, yet how agonizingly painful her personal experience was. Upon hearing my wife's comments, I was in utter shambles and felt more powerless than ever. I was also overcome with anger and resentment towards the team that operated on my wife. The staff at the hospital, from the doctors to the nurses involved, had no satisfactory explanation as to why my wife's experience was such an anomaly. Short of making excuses, they were unable to provide any meaningful explanation as to why we had to endure what we did. The entire experience, for my wife and I, was so devastating that I cannot imagine that I would entrust the 'caregivers' at Memorial Hermann Southeast with another chance to serve my beautiful wife or anyone else that I love.

My wife was there in February for 5 days. Several days in ICU on a ventilator and then in a room. The ICU nurses were attentive and excellent. Her overall care was excellent and we should know, my wife was a nurse.

I showed up last night via ambulance, they really treat you like live cattle. I did not mean to puke but I was very Ill but they look at you like youā€™re disgusting, donā€™t offer any support or tissues. They kept talking amongst themselves ā€œhas her heart rate always been that low?ā€ I feel traumatized by my level of care. Really rude staff. I lost sensation in my arms and them trying to draw blood, stuck me, hurt me. Gave me an attitude when I cried. I was escorted back out to the waiting room and immediately took me back in when they saw I was alone and scared after being in a room, they wanted to leave me out there with no phone half unconscious. The nurse acknowledged the IV was never on. My husband was in the waiting room for over 2 hours and I was alone, losing consciousness, no phone, no support. Just treated like an idiot. Truly a lack of empathy. Iā€™m thankful Iā€™m alive and not thanks to any doctor or staff. I think they need a good wake up call, I would love to raise awareness about this hospital.

1A is the worst department to be if you have covid. Don't let your elderly be there (specially alone) don't let them take the fluid out of their lungs. They just killed my mother by doing that. They didn't even bother to tell me how high her chances were of dying. This was my mother's 4th time admitted there and we never had such a bad experience with nurses like this last time. Please don't come here and ask lots of questions, because they don't even know what they are doing.

This Dr. Dahu, his nurse, Dedra on the Case Management staff and a host of others are just a joke. Oh! Donā€™t get me started on Dr. Mohammad! Staff Lies about contacting us and made it appear we were the ones hard to contact . This hospital is all about money. Hurry up and rushed my mom out the door just to make a bed available for the next profit opportunity. At this point Iā€™m doubting everything they said was wrong with my mother. Said she had hours to days to liveā€¦.weā€™ll, she lives days longer and now sheā€™s rushed out the door. Sheā€™s Covid positive and Dr. Dahu is questioning as to why she canā€™t do hospice at home? Sheā€™s Covid positive you jerk! There are kids in the home. I chased this Dr down for days and couldnā€™t get in touch with himā€¦once my family and I had the meeting with him, he gave my mom a day to be out of the third hospital. I feel he turned more cold after stating that heā€™s very elusive and questioned if sheā€™s being removed so quickly just because they needed her bed. If, it wasnā€™t for my such too nice of a sister (Iā€™m not so nice) I would have stood firm, forced them to do their jobs, and seeked help from higher management. I feel I should have, because I felt so dirty and lied to after talking to them. I feel everything was a lie. I feel for the families in need here. This hospital is just a business and operated as just that. I pray your loves are not in need of care here. Such cold and non passionate staff. Lie! Lie! Lie! Is all they did. .

My husbandā€™s accidental fall led to his admission to Memorial Hermann Hospital-Southeast. This experience at MHH-SE left my husband and me deeply saddened and disgusted with the staffā€™s overall lack of compassion and care. So much so (and five days later), my husband requested out to go back to his personal UTMB doctors. Yes, my husband has several highly debilitating conditions. In addition to showing early signs of dementia and urinary incontinence, he is losing muscle strength. While at the hospital, I helped with his care as much as I could, but my husband is a big man and requires additional help. Although we are grateful to the few angelical nurses like Carmen, Annette, and Keidy, they hardly made up for the portion of the staff that took pleasure in my husbandā€™s condition and in disregarding him. While my husband wailed for help, the morning emergency staff simply snickered and ignored him. This shift continuously turned off his ā€œneedā€ light and finally told us we were on their ā€œto helpā€ list. An attending physician finally came to his rescue. In general, staff would take prolonged periods of time to respond to his basic needs or just not come at all. We were moved around three times, giving us a new set of employees each time. Cool clean tasting water was not the norm . A personal water mug with nasty tasting water did appear following the third move. As the care-giver, I was given a chair, sheets and two pillows, with plenty of access to the cafeteria or vending machines. We found the seven doctors that visited highly knowledgeable and friendly, but all spent their few allotted minutes with us before fleeing. All did adhere to a strict Covid protocol.

Memorial Hermann SE location is HORRIBLE. If I could give a negative 1, then I would. Please do not send your love ones there. My husband, who is disabled and needs assistance with basically everything was admitted on a 1/27. He was given a COVID test which came back + and I know for a FACT that this was not true. No one was allowed to visit and check on him. I now know the reason why. He stayed for 12 days and his care there the entire time was HORRIBLE. From the many doctors who saw him to the nurses(Viet, Courtney, Mylene, Amanda, Ashley) who were suppose to care for him, to the social worker(Dedra) who gave minimal assistance with resources and Nancy the NP could have done a better job. He came home with several additional pressure ulcers than he originally had. I repeat, DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVE ONES TO MEMORIAL HERMANN SOUTHEAST!!!!!!!

Although I was a the emergency room for an illness. Not in a great mood...but it does not have affect on my review. The people working the entry door are confusing and not very helpful. They spend most of their time talking to others . Mostly the security guard.. Once admitted and in process of being seen. Great service and a lot of kindness. Now to discharge.. Went well but watched the security guard and the staff in the lobby mishandling a lady who was obviously mentally ill. All I wonder is why couldn't they isolate her from the people waiting to be admitted?

Wait time is horrible. The staff is not well organized or trained. The doctor ordered a CT scan of the stomach for my mother and as the techs took her back for the test, they started prepping her for the wrong test! My mother pointed it out to the tech and he said he was reading the wrong order. We have been in the waiting room over 5 hours. During this time, a patient left in the waiting room began seizing and there was no sense of urgency from staff to take him back to get evaluated. It was hard to watch. Be mindful before coming here for your loved ones.

I have been a patient here for 3 days. I am shocked at the lack of care. 1st off they placed me in sort of a holding room that had 3 walls and a current. The room has no sink, shower or toilet. I have had to urinate in a bed pan. If I need to have a bowel movement you have to go all the way down the hall. The nurses do not make rounds. The only way to get their attention is to leave your call lite on for 20+ mins. I have been here 3 days and haven't had the opportunity to take a shower. They have not offered to change my linens. There has also yet to be a housekeeper come into the room to clean. I will not ever use this facility again. They need to get it together or it will end up a giant vacant building.

I am not a fan of the memorial hermann hospital system because of past experiences but my Dad was admitted here for an emergency situation. The experience was not the best nor the diagnosis or treatment. There was definitely a lot lacking HOWEVER NIKO the nurse was the only one who actually had some understanding and was able to communicate well. He was very patient and truly fit the call of a nurse. I normally do not do reviews but Niko care and treatment towards my Dad who almost bled to death was remarkable and deserves to be recognized. He deserves a raise or promotion. If you end up admitted here pray you get him as your nurseā€¦ nurses make all the difference! Letā€™s treat them well and recognize them for hard work. My Dad is no walk in the park.. but so grateful for people like Niko.šŸ‘

Worst place to visit while in pain. The front desk nurse was extremely rude. Been waiting for discharge paperwork for hours. They will not five you any information or update. They enjoy having you wait for no reason. The doctor saw me for less than 5 second and that was it. Rude staff and a very disgusting and unprofessional place. I hope I don't end up in here. One positive thing is the lady who checked me was genuinely concerned and one of the nurse was extremely nice. Oh, the bathroom at the lobby (male bathroom) don't even have lock.

This hospital seems abandoned or soon to be. No one here wants to work starting with the front desk & security. Lazy is an understatement. My mom went in thru the ER , I literally had to drag the words out of their mouth. The NP Lilian seemed in a rush when she went in to give my mom the POC, she tried killing us with kindness as if she didn't know we noticed she was in a rush, there was no one in the Er but she was rushed to get on the phone like the rest of the front staff. Her visit into our room was pointless, i got most of the answers from the gentleman who put the spleen on my mom. Then we went to check out, the lady at the check-out had a big bag of cheetos on her desk (station 1) She didnt even bother to check us out and had no idea that's what we were trying to do. Basically, we just walked ourselves out. The level of care here is a zero. I give a star to the gentleman who took his time to get my mom the disk for her imaging done at the facility. As I didn't get anyone's name because no one introduced themselves. Not even Lilian the Np only know her name because I saw her name tag. (Below a pic of the front desk staff, unbothered because they were too busy on their phone)

My family member came in to their Labor and Delivery unit after she lost her mucous plug, was having contractionsand passed a blood clot. When they arrived and the night doctor saw them they were treated as if they were completely dumb for coming in at all since she only lost her mucous plug. In a world weā€™re fetal demise occurs I would think that being on the safe side is better than not. Whether they came in active labor or not, I canā€™t imagine in what world this doctors bedside manner would be acceptable for any hospital. Such a horrible experience and not one that you would want to have during such an exciting time of your life. Patient relations will be getting contacted to help ensure that other expectant parents can possibly not have to go through the same thing they went through.

My grandfather is currently in this hospital. The nurses that have cared for him so far have been very disappointing. There is a language barrier that prevents him from communicating since he only speaks Spanish. There is a device with a monitor for a live translator to assist the only issue is they don't want to go get it I guess. He has had to sit in a soiled diaper for at least 25 minutes after I press the nurse call button and it just gets ignored and turned off. I have had to walk up to the nurses station to ask for assistance since it takes the nurse or anybody forever to come in to the room. I am very upset at the fact that the OR did not call or notify me that my grandfather was out of his procedure. When they took down my number and asked me to wait in their waiting area. I became restless after no updates so I called them to find out the status and they tell me he's already back in his room. I'm sitting there like an idiot worried about the darn procedure and they neglected to notify me of the results and what the next step would be. I'm so annoyed and saddened to have joined the other negative reviews of this facility.I did not choose to bring him here the paramedics made that call on their own after I specifically told them what hospital to take him to. I pray that my grandfather gets well enough to get him out of this hospital.

This hospital is very slow. I came to the emergency room with very high blood pressure and tightness in my chest. I've been waiting in the lobby for 6 hours and still haven't been seen. I feel nauseous and dizzy. All the receptionist can tell me is I am on the list to be seen. It is frustrating and making my BP higher. The security guard and receptionists are having inappropriate conversations. They have not called anyone to the back in over 3 hours. If I leave to go somewhere else, I will have to start over with the process.

I just wanna say this is the WORSE hospital ever mainly the emergency department. I was 5 weeks pregnant and went in for some bleeding. Not only did they make me wait HOURS, once the lady did my vaginal ultrasound she seemed to become really rough causing extreme bleeding to the point i had to put a pad on when i left there & initially i didnā€™t need one. Once i asked her why was she so rough she just smiled and said the dr will inform me. So weird and for a first time mom so scary: Over worked and under staffed. I wish i could rate this place -0 stars SHUT THEM DOWN!

Had a procedure done on 3/16/2022 At first I was very nervous and scared because of these reviews on how low they areā€¦. But mostly all hospitals have bad reviews and I get it, especially from motherf***** who think theyā€™re ā€œentitled.ā€ ANYWHOOOOOO, I was in the outpatient area The first time I went for blood work, second floor. Did what they needed to do & was very quick and told me what needed to be done the day of surgery. Day of surgery: went to second floor , told me Iā€™ll be on fourth floor and who will be up there. Fourth floor- from the receptionist all the way to the discharge nurse AMAZING!! Receptionist took me in, then asked the nurse which room I was going to be in. When they found out she told me what garments to put on , how to, and what to do when Iā€™m ready. Nurse came in asked me what Iā€™m getting done (common procedure to make sure their notes and what I say is correct) The nurse even told me about the app the hospital uses for the love one I want to know about the procedure will get updates (love that, since I was solo) she also got me comfortable and had me in a warmer (thank goodness bc I was nervous and teeth were chattering at that point, again I was solo) she took my vitals, then an anesthesia guy came in- same thing on asking and if I had any question and of course I told him my concerns. Also Very sweet. Another nurse came in asked same thing and even told me she was going to be in the room w/me. Two more anesthesia men came in asked me same thing- if I had any questions and that they were also going to be in the room with me as well. They informed me I was going to get ā€œa little cocktail in my IVā€ to make me feel comfortable (which was cute) by the time it was time to roll me out and we were in the procedure room , They asked if I was comfortable and BAM I was in the recovery room. I LOVED MY DISCHARGE NURSE she was funny, sweet, and caring Alli,RN thank you ! My team: Pre Admit: JUDY B. RN Pre-op: CHARITY RN Recovery room: MARTIN RN Discharge Nurse: ALLI RN Thank you for all your hard work and amazing customer service. šŸ’•

The nurses care if you treat them with respect but the doctors will kill you after having been admitted. ER is impeccable but once admitted, you're in the fight of your life. My mother has covid and c-diff and the lack of direction, attention and care from the doctors is absolutely not there. Treatment is terribly delayed to the point of malpractice. You must be a strong person who commands responsibility and knows the health care system if you want to live. If you don't, please go anywhere but this facility. The one star comes from the nurses and the ER. But otherwise, no I would not recommend this facility to anyone.

I took my wife to ER on Saturday because of a mental health crisis she was experiencing. She was triage fairly fast. I felt that she was not assessed, since she was being non-verbal, the nurse asked me what was going on. I explained that she was refusing her medication, not attending her doctor's appointments, refusing to eat, hallucinating etc. When the doctor arrived he told the nurse to draw blood and urine for lab work. He never acknowledged the patient. He came back a few minutes later and said he was ordering a Cat Scan of her brain. After a while he returned and told me that there was nothing physically wrong with her and there was nothing more he could do for her. He was discharging her home. The nurse asked me if I needed someone to take her out on a wheelchair. I replied she wasn't walking or standing without assist and yes I needed someone to be with her while I got the car. My wife was resistant to getting up and getting on the wheelchair and I ended up having to lift her up and place her in the car. She stayed slumped over on the drive home. Her condition has gotten more acute since Saturday. My complaint is: doesn't Hermann Memorial have a standard of care for patients having a mental health crisis or is what we experienced SOP. We were provided with discharge instructions that had no information or referrals for my wife's condition. After our experience maybe your ER should post a sign stating " We Do Not Handle Mental Health Crisis Here".

Just left the hospital with my husband and if I could give them no star I would! I was there last Thursday with my husband who was in a lot of pain and I got blood work and an ultrasound and they told us that he had gallstones. They gave him medicine and told us that if the pain came back to go back to the hospital to do a recheck and that he might need surgery of how severe it was. Tonight the pain came back and it was unbearable when I got there nurse Becky was rude she told me they had no record of my husband being there last Thursday and that I had might given them wrong information or lied. I didnā€™t take any paperwork with me (that was my mistake on my end) they told me they couldnā€™t find any information and that they would had to run test again and then the doctor told us that they were not going to be able to do any surgery on my husband unless he was bleeding out. After explaining to them that I could go back home and get the paperwork the nurse again said no we donā€™t need it. They tried to run test and my husband refuse and we left. I was left speechless of how careless the nurse and the doctor was I get it working long hours can be exhausted but if you canā€™t habladle the job then it is time to change careers.

Caught Covid pneumonia while a patient at Memorial Hermann being treated for Cellulitis. Spent a few weeks in hospital before being released but had to return due to shortness of breath and no PT prior to release. Spent another 5 weeks at the hospital before being transferred to a rehab facility per my request. Nursing staff is excellent but unable to convey any positive remarks regarding the attending physicians.

I would really suggest going somewhere else. My husband was having trouble breathing and we weren't treated as urgently as I feel we should have. The heart monitor showed something was wrong, but the doctor in the ER just completely disregarded it and said the machine was wrong. Three hours later, they tell us he has multiple blood clots in his lungs. Glad he wasn't sent home after the first doctor dismissed the first results. Once in the hospital, his care was very hit or miss. My husband is deaf and there was one instance where he was ignored and not given any food all day! He called me upset saying he'd been calling for help but no one came. I watched him push the help button for 30 minutes and not a single person came. I ended up calling the hospital and getting someone to go check on him, but why did I even have to do that?? My husband saw nurses just hanging out at the nurses station but not a single one went to see what was wrong. Like, seriously? Finally someone came and said they gave him water a few hours ago! Seriously?! He did not get any food til almost midnight! We had told the nurses that he can barely speak english and to please use the video translator for ASL interpretor whenever they needed to talk to him. 'Ok, no problem'. Then two days later, I find out he had no idea what the nurses/doctors were saying to him, because they were writing everything down! This is ridiculous! He has the same right to communication as anyone else! They took around 10 vials of blood for "testing" but when we followed up with the hematopathologist, all of us were shocked to find out none of the tests were run! What is going on here?! And trying to get any paperwork from here is impossible and frustrating. I spoke to his doctor face-to-face and was told 'no problem' and to send the paperwork over that we needed signed and she would send it back since he was on a medical leave from work. Then once we got home, she refused to send the paperwork and because of this, my husband didn't get paid the whole time he was out sick. The thing that really made me mad was when I called Sedgwick about the paperwork the hospital was supposed to send and was told they sent it back with a note that said they don't fill out paperwork. Seriously. Just completely unprofessional and made an already difficult and stressful situation even more so.

If I could give this hospital a 0 rating I would without hesitation! Iā€™m seven months pregnant and was recommended by my midwife to register to give birth at this hospital. I registered and have been waiting for an update so I called! Right away I sensed the attitude of the operator they connected me with and I made the complaint about her attitude! She proceeded to call me a ā€œbitchā€ and then transferred me to another department! I would rather drive across Houston to go give birth at another hospital than to give birth at a hospital where they donā€™t care for their patients and customers. Very disappointed with my experience with this hospital today

This review is specifically for Dr. Christopher C. Walker. Yesterday late night we brought in our elder uncle because he was in a lot of pain. The hospital and all staff were great but unfortunately the Dr. (Dr. Christopher C Walker) who saw my uncle was of no help at all. When I say he just saw him I mean that literally. Symptoms for weeks, urgency to go number 2 every 15 minutes, constant pain, and getting worse every day. He had so much pain that he wanted to call an ambulance but we decided to pick him up and bring him to MSE because this hospital has always taken such great care of our entire family. The Dr. right away jumped to the conclusion that it could possibly be constipation so he ordered an Xray of his abdomen. Thatā€™s it, just one lousy Xray which the Dr. decided did not show constipation. No labwork, no prescription for pain. No solution. He said whatever my uncle had could be treated as an Outpatient procedure. So here we are, my uncle has been sent home still in a lot of pain. And weā€™re back at square one. Whatā€™s the point of an Emergency room if youā€™re not going to get any real help?

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ARE MENTALLY ILL. Brought somebody here due to abdominal pain a doctor in our friend circle believes to be appendicitis ā€” insisted upon testing, only to wait for 4 hours writhing in pain in the lobby because they had no beds or rooms available. Nurses and staff were incredibly rude and made snide comments the entire time we were there. Received no ultrasound despite complaining about severe abdominal pain. Meds that were given were not enough, we were ignored when asking for a reassessment of the dosage. At 4.5 hours we were taken back into a room with other patients separated by (dirty, bloody) curtains, told ā€˜thereā€™s nothing we can doā€™, at which point my friend started having a panic attack. Friend stated ā€˜Iā€™ve been here six hours with no answers and I feel worse than when I came inā€™, to which one of the blonde nurses walked back into view to snap ā€˜You have NOT been here six hoursā€™. We were then escorted out by security even though my friend could not even walk and had to be carried to our car.

It is currently 8/28/23 I was a patient here for 48 hours. (Keep in mind I am only 22 and I have no cardiac history) I came on 8/26/23 at 8 pm via ambulance for chest pain that was radiating down my left arm and back. I was told the ekg showed left atrial enlargement. So far after several tests and doctors I have been told everything from this is not normal for your age, to you have abnormal blood work, to we see you have elevated heart enzymes, to your potassium is just low, to your fighting an infection, to youā€™re just dehydrated so we will be sending you home. The staff is So extremely uncoordinated and if you do not ask the right person they will leave you in the dark on everything. In the CDU the staff will not come check on you and I was not offered toiletries until a few hours before discharge. One of the nurses I had was excellent and it comes at no surprise that she was a new nurse to the hospital, ( guess the compassion for patients hadnā€™t been drained out yet) and did take time to explain my charts upon raising concern that no one had spoken to me about what is going on. That being said that nurse had been the only one advocating for me. Dr. Khan ā€œor however you spell his name. He didnā€™t even spend enough time in my room for me to even knowā€ in the cdu will basically tell you ā€œif we donā€™t see anything structurally wrong with you at the hospital then itā€™s not our job to do further testing or ease your discomfort thatā€™s your pcps job ā€œ. Donā€™t go here!! My potassium levels have yet to be normal which according to them ā€œcan cause cardiac eventsā€ and I still feel the same way as I did when I came in. Keep in mind I was given otc pain meds and nitro multiple times AND IT HELPED at 22 YEARS OLD and they really sat here and said itā€™s not my problem BCS WE CANT FIND ANYTHING significantly wrong. All they did was add a bill to my list and no answers. The doctors and nurses have no communication and it takes an extremely long time to be seen. I didnā€™t plan to come here and I feel punished for it. For the love of god donā€™t go here Bcs the stress of trying to find out what is wrong is gonna kill you first. The staff lacks empathy and compassion and this hospital needs to fix it. I specifically asked to be left alone after I found out I was being discharged with no change in status or definite answers, and the charge nurse decided she was still going to come in and explain to me why they were discharging me. They completely ignored my request to be left alone.*ALSO PLEASE LOOK AT THE REVIEWS THEY ALL SAY THE SAME THING* edit: had to repost my review bcs it got removed :) ****another edit found out I have an autoimmune disorder which they never told me I tested positive for on my Ana and titer test šŸ˜‰

Their ER is a joke. They were short-staffed so they had NPs diagnosing patients and prescribing meds. The NP knew I was a dialysis patient and medications should be at a lower dose, but she overdosed me. I took the antiviral and Tylenol 3 the next day as prescribed, totally lost my equalibrium, fell, crawled to the door to let my friend in (she hadn't heard from me and was concerned), and ended up going by ambulance to the hospital the following day from the overdose of medications that they prescribed me. I was told I wouldn't be charged for my hospital stay, but I got a bill in the mail. They were already paid $35,493.49 by Medicare and thry want me to pay the $522.26 balance. Their hospital is also a joke. I'm also a diabetic and they didn't feed me anything the 2 days I was there. They didn't even give me a sip of water. While I was unconscious, they gave me a COVID 19 vaccination and 2 flu shots (I NEVER would have agreed to those shots!). I left the hospital with a bad cough that I can't get rid of, and I now have minor chest pains (myocarditis?). This is unnacceptable, you can't force vaccinations on a patient when they're unconscious and can't decline. I will find a lawyer and sue them.

My father was hospitalized for 2 weeks in the ER. The nurse and technical staff were very attentive, patient and amazing overall. They were kind and friendly during a difficult time for me and my family. Great hospital highly recommend.

Nichole, Esmeralda, Kayley, and Bailey we're all very humble, yet they were very assertive to assist me in my time of crisis. They have changed my views of The Memorial Herman System. Instead of being problematically passive aggressive towards me like other hospitals, Collectively, they have been very informative, very rapid but accurately executed, and above all they're personality shined bright like a diamond. If any of your employees mentioned deserves a promotion, I nominate these four lovely ladies to lead management, or a manager role... Thank you for a great staff. Although the lobby was filling up, these four LVN's mentioned worked as a team, and pushed patients im position to be seen, diagnosed, and discharged with prescriptions. !! Yu rule!!!

From the time I walked into the hospital, up to the day of my procedures, I was treated like all of their very best "BFF." Everyone that had anything to do with getting me pre-registered (Yvonne), and my well-care, Kennedy who got me prepped for the procedure, Brenda and Kerwin(in the operating room) and of course my doctor(Marc Catalano), I can't thank you all enough! If there was more stars to give, you all would have them! Thanks again!!! šŸ’œ

The nurse, Amarachi, who helped my mother on 5/12 - 5/13 was an Angel. She was so helpful and very careful with how she handled my mother after being in a car accident. Constantly reassuring me and my sister about how everything was coming along. She was a 5/5 stars! The only reason I am rating this 4/5 stars is, despite the fact my mother was in a car accident and in excruciating pain. It took a very long time. Despite coming in via ambulance and being in the emergency section of the hospital. We hardly got to see the doctor. We mostly saw Nurses and other medical professionals. We maybe saw the doctor twice throughout the whole ordeal. The accident happened around 10pm on 5/12. Arrived at the hospital around 10:40ish. And we waited to be in a room until 11 something. Took even longer to wait for someone. We didnā€™t get to go home until 5:30AM on 5/13. Because despite having 2 fractured ribs and a swollen foot she was ā€˜fineā€™. But over all, they did take way too long.

I was admitted to this hospital on July 1st and from the moment I entered the ER, until the moment I was discharged (12 days later) everyone was incredibly kind to me. The nurses are AMAAAAAAZING! I came in with a critical and life-changing diagnosis, but the gentleness and professionalism of the staff almost made me forget that I was ill. The doctors are so caring and genuinely care about what they do. Even though I was on a special diet, the food was actually good and their nutrition staff were always so courteous! I will always remember how well I was taken are of

I had Umbilical Hernia Repair two days ago and it was amazing, from quality care on the financial side to the nursing staff, the Anesthesia department, my Doctor Hoang Le, I was and have always been taken great care of here at this hospital. Hands down the best experiences for me. Clean and warm bed, aftercare instructions are clear cut, allowed me plenty of time to wake up and gave me extra bags of IV solution to help clean out my system.. I highly recommend this hospital. My before and after below!!! Iā€™m two days out and swelling is going down and I am feeling so much better. Thank You Southeast staff. This is like my 6 procedure here over the years. 5 STARS!!!

I came in on Saturday 6/10/23 at 11am, for a severe migraine, sore throat unable to swallow, and severe pain on both ears. The black Security lady was not pleasant she yells at you to open your bag and walk through metal detector like your an inmate, I did not appreciate how loud she is giving orders, very unprofessional, No other Security staff member spoke as loud and aggressive like her, very uncomfortable and painful to my symptoms, I had to yell at her to speak in a normal tone. I waited 8 hours, they do musical chairs at Southeast Memorial, not very comfortable, especially because a migraine is so painful. Southeast Memorial is not compassionate about Migraine patients its very disheartening. I am giving Southeast Memorial 4 stars because the person that place my armband was pleasant, The registration person was pleasant and helpful till the end, my Nurse Practitioner was Amazing from the get go, she was so comfortable to speak with and she provided the plan. My triage nurse was loud, did not ask me about pain level, did not offer pain medication, she was talking so loud. Then I was moved to another chair with curtains, I waited there almost two hours more before the Migraine cocktail medications was given, I was trying to be understanding to my 2nd nurse she was buuuusyyyy, but omg my pain was so unbearable :'(. Over all I was grateful to her she was super nice and attentive when she was able to see me. Then I was moved back to the waiting area with my IV Fluids and that was not pleasant because by this point I just need a bed bc this migraine has taken over the severe throat and ear pain. Anyone talking loud is just agitating it more. Migraine patients need quiet places to feel better. Then I was moved back to the chair with the curtains and given my steroids injection. Finally at 6:30pm I was discharged. Thank you my 2nd Nurse, my Nurse Practitioner and my Registration person you made a difference for me and for that I thank you.

I should have trusted my instinct. I spent over 24 hours in the ER/CDU. The bathroom we all shared was filthy, the staff was very unorganized, we received very little information. Once I had my surgery it seems they very sloppily discharged me. They told me I needed to get my medicine asap but all the pharmacyā€™s were closed. When we tried the on call number they were rude and the Dr never returned my call. I had a horrible experience and would hate for someone else to have this issue as well. Choose another hospital.

No one ever answered the calls. my father has been there in ICU for 10 days. Even when I was on site visiting him for the past weekā€¦.the nurses try, the doctors show 0 effort to relate to the patients care. 0. Donā€™t send your loved ones here. Nurses, awesome. Doctors, 0.

Very bad, they are inhuman, today I was with my daughter who felt very bad, the ambulance took us there, and at the change of shift a nurse came in who looked like she wasn't human, she told me that I had to leave for the lovi, and I still had not been able to locate who will look for us, for me I give it half a star
