My mother who has dementia was admitted in August for very low blood pressure and non responsive. She was later diagnosed with Covid which was causing the symptoms. She was admitted to the hospital and I was so DISSATISFIED and DISAPPOINTED with some of the nursing staff who was assigned to take care of her. They was RUDE, UNCARING, and very UNPROFESSIONAL!!! These young nurses have ABSOLUTELY NO bedside manner or training. I have ALWAYS praised this hospital because of the previous care and compassion that was shown towards me and my family. What has happened to this facility? Who is in charge now? Did the old personnel leave? When it was time for my mother to be discharged that all but rushed and shoved us out the door! I’m giving it only 1 star and that’s for the kind ER staff and the kind male nurse who with ABOVE and BEYOND to shower kindness towards my mom!!

The receptionists at the Emergency Room Center are absolutely terrible and rude! My husband brought my 3 year old son, whom is autistic, to the emergency room and they were very unkind. My son has an issue with textures and does not like wrist bands. My husband explained to the lady who was trying to wrap the wrist band around my son that he is autistic and he would have a meltdown due to the texture and not liking things around his hands/arms. She was very rude and told my husband that if he could not wear it, he could not be seen. She wouldn’t even let my husband do it so at least a familiar face could help to get it on. Just awful! If you hate your job that much, find another. Not sure what the woman’s name is but she is Hispanic and worked around 9-10 PM on 11/28/2022 at the admissions desk at the emergency center.

I am very disappointed with the ER here. I brought my mom elderly here with extremely high blood pressure and irregular breathing slight tightness in her chest and we have been sitting in the waiting room for 2 hours.. I asked how much longer before she gets seen. I was told they have 3 other patients here with her symptoms. I asked are they 88 yrs old? And have history of heart problems. She did not answer me so we are still waiting.

I came here because I had a UTI that was hurting my kidneys and really needed some antibiotics. The Asian Male doctor literally laughed in my face and didn’t prescribe me anything said he couldn’t help. I wasn’t even there an hour and I got a 3k medical bill. And the hospital keeps calling me to see if I’ll pay them back. Ha! I’m not paying 3k for a Dr to laugh in my face while I’m in pain.

Careful when going to the ER at this hospital! I had a swollen leg and came in to get it checked. They could not figure out what was wrong and ran a lot of test. At this point the care was good, then they gave me a prescription for medication and told me if it was not better to make sure I came back to the ER. Here is the were it went all wrong, my leg did not get better and I had to go back to the ER because they told me to. They could have told me to just go see a doctor. Then I get My bill, it was double the amount the second time and they did not even run any test this time. This is a money grab for them. I'm working now and have insurance but had been layoff for almost a year so a bill for over $2700 hurts. Not to mention all the other small bills you get, because for some reason there not included with the hospital bill.

Everything was alright for the most part. My complaint is the receptionist. I have had two bad encounters with this receptionist. I’m not going to mention the name because I’m not purposely trying to get them fired. 1st encounter - My mom and I were trying to visit my dad in the hospital, we went up to her and from the start she had attitude. I was being as nice as possible. She proceeded to to say we couldn’t go because only two people are allowed at a time. I completely understood and called my brother down, so my mom and I can go. When my brother came down she still wouldn’t let us go. Keep in mind, she is still talking down to us. We eventually figured out that she misunderstood us and I apologized, even with all the rudeness she gave us. She still proceeds to give us attitude. My brother got fed up and explained to her how talking down on us is rude in which she ignored the statement and cut him off mid sentence. 2nd encounter: (A couple weeks later) My family and I rush over to the hospital because we received a call that my dad is in pretty bad shape and might not make it. The same receptionist as the last encounter was working at the time. I had explained the situation to her in which she gave us an annoyed attitude/ expression. She had to call the nurse to verify some things but while she was doing that she was scrolling through social media on her phone. I didn’t mean to eavesdrop but in that situation you can understand why I’m looking at what she’s doing. Eventually another receptionist took her and she left annoyed and sounded annoyed. My takeaway- I understand her job is stressful, but if you can’t handle the duties of the job with a positive attitude then you shouldn’t be working there. I don’t know what’s going on in her life and I don’t know what’s causing her to be rude, but the last place you should be rude as a receptionist is at a hospital. People are grieving, people are most of the time not at a hospital for a happy cause. People need kindness at times like this, not attitude.

Do not allow visitors under 18 right now. They turned my daughter away from visiting my mom, who is not a COVID patient. Also had my mom wait by herself in the ER, my dad had to wait outside. From my memory of the ER, I would HATE to wait however many hours alone. As far as I know, after almost 24 hours here and multiple tests, they are still not able to tell my mom what caused her symptoms. They’re just having her stay to get sodium levels up, without much of an explanation or answer. Leaving now without being able to visit because of my daughter. Not happy.

There’s appears to be a lack of compassion or need to care for the patients. The doctors and nurses seems in experienced as it took 4 people to put a catheter in which is terrible! There was literally no urgency to care for the needs of my friend after her surgery!

I am baffled by my experience with this hospital. I was brought in with severe bleeding and a severe migraine attack and the dr didn’t do anything for the bleeding except give a bag of fluids. Even after giving them background of my medical history they acted as if it wasn’t a huge concern. Not to mention I had to wait over 4 hours before being seen. I had to lay on the ground nauseous, severe migraine pain and constant heavy bleeding. I am at my wits end with the medical system because I need help with my fibroids and er drs always brush me off. How many times do I have to come in bleeding to the point of being weak until a dr takes me seriously and help. Giving referrals are pointless when you have to wait weeks and they just prescribe birth control. I need help not a bag of fluids and get sent home.

Just drop my sister to the ER and had to turn around and come pick her up. The front desk staff was rude to her a fellow Nurse I might add. My sister told her of her symptoms and the nurse told her “well you should’ve known better. And that there will be a long long wait.” My sister had a temperature of 103 and she had the nerve to tell her that. She was being a grade A Witch. We will not be returning. There are some people that just don’t belong in the medical field and she is one of them

Worst doctors. They don’t care about helping you fix your injuries, they just tell you to quit whatever sport you play and sit on the couch, (yes you “Dr.” Mark Vann. Can’t believe you wasted money and time on school to be the most useless doctor on earth). Oh and don’t get me started on how they’re only a business, they just want your money. If you have an outstanding balance, don’t clear it. They don’t deserve it. Plus they always remove my negative reviews, guess I’m just gonna have to keep logging in and leaving one every time they remove it.

ER is awesome. The hospital, after being admitted, is a disaster. OMG, when I say the worst hospital ever, I am not kidding; my husband has hearing loss no one would help. We need to talk to the business center, and my husband can't hear on the hospital room phone. My hearing aids will make a noise when I speak to them. We asked for them to email could get an email for them. No one can find it. Please can you see on the hospital websites if you could find an email for them? I can find it. Even ordering his food has been challenging because of the phone issue. He has had a hard time because everyone wears a mask. There are no adcomidatins for people with hearing loss. They will not even write things down. I try to help when wearing my hearing aids, but people sound muffled, and they get irritated having to repeat. I don't understand why they could not write things down. One nurse slammed the door. My husband and I take it with a humble heart but would like to communicate with business offices. The doctor said he would be discharged, and the nurse didn’t want to let him leave. It’s crazy. On top of that, they were given medication he doesn’t take, like insulin and blood thinner. The staff was awful. I come from a long line of nurses and doctors, and when I tell you they want to make you worse. Please go somewhere else; one of the nurses said she would give the wrong medication even if you don’t like it. It’s in the wrong place. They rather threaten you than hear what you have to say. I know the hospital will probably come on and say thank you for telling us. I doubt they actually try to communicate and improve. There is no Care here with the way they give health care 😔 I have a feeling they well take this one down. To help their numbers up not because they change anything or make it better.

Very insensitive Doctor in the emergency room . Rushed out asap they did not take their time to find out what was wrong with me or my son just preformed a covid test and that’s it . Did not address our other concerns . Made us feel like this was a vet and not a human hospital. They literally told me that I was not an emergency even though urgent care sent us here for further care .

So basically this guys have no human heart when it comes to patients, they push, yell and leave them on their own. And whenever you want to speak out about why are they acting like that they just run away and hide. You better not leave your family member go through the night alone with these pseudo nurses.

Worst hospital. If i could give a zero star, I would. From the er front desk to the end of my son visit was no care and didn't want to hear what I had to say. We were sent in by an urgent care who actually had more care and concern than this place. Even now, I am having trouble getting his results bc apparently it won't allow then to put me as a proxy. Yet I filled out the form last night. So it is denying them to add me. I have no idea what was causing this and the symptoms he has. The doctor who seen him also had no care. I would avoid this place if possible. Especially the ER.

They sent me to collections (which was there own company) even before all the insurance claims were sorted out. It turns out I overpaid by $200.00 and now they wont reimburse me. They have a scam billing system going on. I would find another provider, obviously Houston is the best place to do so.

My daughter had a transplant there, kidney and pancreas. The transplant doctors are amazing. They did an excellent job. Very skills, professionals, kind and responsibles. The nurses are the best. But one of the other doctors, a kidney specialist decided to do a dialysis in my daughter three days after the transplant and didn’t ask the transplant team about it. He almost kill my daughter. She was dead for approximately 6 minutes. The awful part of this story is that the next day he went to see my daughter and he didn’t apologize. He was very arrogant and indirectly blame the other doctors. ( he said that is because she had water in her heart and no one noticed) Lets say that it was true, but he didn’t have the rights to do a dialysis without the consent of the transplant team. The transplant team apologized for the mistake an it was not their fault. My daughter was send home and the next day she was back in the hospital. Her blood pressure is a messed and do to that error. Now she is back jn Sugar Land hospital, she needs a treatment for her Gullan Barret condition. She is in terrible shape and up to todays day, June 24 she hasn’t receive an answer. Her condition is cronic. She needs the cleaning of her blood plasma. I called the administration and I am waiting for an answer. I am very disappointed with the hospital. ( one more thing). Sometimes they don’t bring her lunch because they lost it. We have to go to the cafeteria to bring her something to eat.

I used to think that this hospital was a wonderful place. On the outside, it’s clean and the attractive lobby with the pianist draws you in, thinking that they’ll take care of your loved ones here. Wrong. I was so wrong. Dr. Kabir, do you remember yelling at me condescendingly while I begged you to save my mom’s life? You heartlessly told me that people like my mom were the problem. What about the other ICU doctor who was visibly inpatient as I was frantically left with the duty of whether or not to intubate her? He huffed and puffed as he literally gave me MINUTES to decide whether or not I wanted to intubate her. “If you do, she will most likely not make it. If you don’t, she will suffer cardiac arrest, then still not making it.” Disgusting how he made it seem like I was deciding between detergent brands. This is my mom’s life. Have some patience. Have some empathy for a human being! Or, what about the nurse who yelled at my mom for being on FaceTime with her family? As we were only able to communicate with her through video call at the time of peak covid. Or what about the nurse who rushed my dad out of the room on the step down unit and sent him home as my mom’s oxygen was dropping? She left a broken man there in shambles, lost, with no family education. I’m sure many healthcare workers at this hospital are exceptional. But these who I’ve experienced, made losing my mother so much worse. I will forever be traumatized by this.

I had a great experience seeking care last week at this hospital. My doctor Rueywen Chen was knowledgeable and kind, and arranged care for my situation effectively. Her nurses Leticia and Tatyana were responsive and caring. The front desk staff member and registration nurse (Francin) at the Sweet water Pavilion, and the front desk nurse and my technician (Josie) at the imaging and radiology unit were also very professional and caring. The hospital staff also showed concern for my personal situation and helped me transport between my appointments (many thanks to security officer Khan who helped me with transportation in a very friendly way). I was impressed with the kindness of these hospital staff members and very grateful for their help.

Was charged 698.00 for a lipid panel ( average cost- $ 12.95 ), been put on hold for hours and hung up on. Latest person told me too bad, that is what we charge. This price is not disclosed on their website as required by law, and I was not informed of such a blatant over billing, as I would have gone to another lab for 12.95 to 35.95. If you provide any service for any people that work for this Methodist, you should charge them 500% over your normal cost. They should experience exactly the same.

As I write this review while sitting in ER triage, I am in complete devastation of the service given by the ER check-in desk. I walked into this empty ER with chest pain, shortness of breath, and nausea. I stopped at the Check-In Desk as I was greeted by Oteria Neblett with a “give me a minute, I’m busy,” so I sat in the closest chair. I waited an additional five minutes before I was addressed by the clerk Oteria Neblett. Due to dizziness and nausea, I was unable to walk 4 ft to her desk and Oteria Neblett attitude continued to get worse. Marissa, the nurse obtaining vitals, was rude as well. Marissa was very sarcastic, unpleasant, and showed no empathy for the sick. Marissa took my blood pressure of 181/102 and screamed out loud to my sister I had perfect vital signs as she shoved me in a triage room. Marissa did that out of low tolerance for patients and their concerned family members. Both Marissa and Oteria Neblett should not be working in healthcare if patient care is not their focus. These two individuals lack professionalism, quality care, sense of urgency, understanding, concern, and respect for others. As a healthcare professional myself, I expect the entire nursing staff to treat all patients with top priority and compassion. Patients have a choice where to receive care. I could have chosen Memorial Hermann or St. Luke’s but I decided Houston Methodist based on previous customer service experiences. This visit was totally different. I felt as if I was bothering Oteria Neblett when attempting to check-in although I was the only patient in ER. Marissa made my sister feel she was unable to ask questions about my healthcare without receiving a negative response including sarcastic remarks. These two people are the first contact patients make when entering a scary and intimidating environment. As employees, all personal usage of cellphones, books, side conversations should be put away and ceased immediately for proper acknowledgement, communication, safety, and treatment for any and all patients.

I was fortunate enough to become a patient of Dr. Apoor Patel. I was recommended to Dr. Patel by my Cardiologist. Dr. Patel did the Watchman Procedure for me, which has been an excellent addition to my health. I had to spend the night for observation after surgery early the previous day. I commend Houston Methodist and its Doctors along with their nursing staff. I was taken care of in the upmost professional and courteous manner possible. Hats off to the nurses who doo their very best to care for me and made my stay as comfortable as possible. Even though I have to drive over 100 miles to seek specialist treatment, I do not mind at all, Dr. Patel and Dr. Vachhani have proved themselves as caring professionals. Their individual office staff are remarkable. Very polite, courteous, and caring. I could not ask for better service, I was blessed to have been recommended to Houston Methodist and its teams of Doctors that have specialist for every need in health care. Thank you, to each and every individual that had part in my treatment or appointments. Keep up the great work, God bless

I'd give negative stars if possible. ER staff had me wait over 8 hours causing need for surgery. US Anathesia Partners engaged in illegal billing at exorbitant prices. ER intake only happened after calling 911 and 911 was sending it's own medic to the ER waiting room!

I had to drive in late from Corpus Christi to see a family member in critical condition, and while we were waiting for the MRI procedure to be done, we had to wait in the waiting room. We were in desperate need of coffee, and the nursing staff had no problem making us a fresh pot of coffee. Thank you to the staff for being so kind tonight!

Not sure what the ER doctors are doing during night shift. My wife was pregnant and had covid , it does seem to be a priority. Waiting time took for ever, they lost her first urine sample than it took a while for the second sample result to come out. Hope the maternity pavilion is different

I gave birth here and even in covid, they did not meet my needs in terms of being in tip top shape. The second week of being a Newborn mom, I had pains in my abdomen and ended up going back to Labor and Delivery where they gave me gall bladder surgery. However, I did not have a main doctor there to walk me through my symptoms. Before the surgery, they took me to the operation room and the nurse there told me that I would have to pee in a cup despite the fact that I told them I was in pain and that there was discharge and blood in my urine. That was my endoscopy. My gall bladder surgery was where the nurse told me to get up rudely and said they would refuse to take me to surgery if I didn’t give them a urine sample. That they wanted to use to see if I was pregnant. It didn’t match up with them praying with me before my surgery or how they were empathizing that I had just given birth. The mistreatment was coming from being discharged as an Obese Patient rather than a mommy and I felt that disrespect. They have my medical records as a past patient and didn’t feel like talking with me through anything. They have made me feel like the worst mother yet. I have had the worst nightmares and they made me want to be put in a coffin and walked around the block by people JUST so I can wake up.!It made me regret making my baby’s nest there.

My hubs and I are both patients of many specialist on the Methodist campus . We have even had to go to ER on several occasions. As well as admitted to the hospital. We have always been well pleased with our care by our doctors and nurses. They are trained to be patient friendly and caring is their nature or they would not be in their respective careers. Thank you Houston Methodist Sugar Land for the care and compassion you give!

Just like a lot of hospitals, you have the good ER doctors & nurses, then you have the bad ones who could cost someone their life through being too slow, or just not appropriately treating a situation aggressively enough. They are a good hospital though, they have saved my life, you just have to hope you get the right doctors & nurses though, seriously.

Amazing and awesome hospital!!! My father broke his hip and we went to the emergency room here and also had surgery here as well. Almost everything was so smooth. 99.9% of the doctors, nurses, patient care technicians, front check-in registrars, etc. were just absolutely amazing! I can't say enough good things about almost everyone at this hospital. You will be well taken care of when you go here. I just want to say big thank you numerous times to everyone who helped my father here. Just a side note FYI, please don't let one incident from an employee get your views about this hospital down. IMO, this hospital deserves a 5 star rating! I had an incident too early on from two non-emphatic employees there. The evening personnel at the front desk of the emergency room (front desk registrar and front desk nurse) around 10:15PM absolutely ruined our family's mood in what was an otherwise very stressful day for my family after my father broke his hip. Luckily one of the nurses in the back who was taking care of my father that evening came to save the day! I won't go into detail as it would take too long, but please don't let one bad experience with someone here prevent you from coming here to get care. 99.9% of the everyone we interacted here was absolutely amazing! Thank you so much to everyone here who made my dad's stay here as comfortable and stress free was possible!

I feel like I wasted my time coming here. The NP talked in circles and acted very dismissive. He kept trying to tell me I had Covid based on my symptoms when I know I didn’t I had already been tested for it twice. He didn’t order for me to get anything done even though I had concerns. He mentioned me getting an ultrasound and when I asked the nurse who brought me my discharge papers she was just as confused as I was. I also let him know I was having a headache for about a week now and Tylenol wasn’t working so his suggestion was to try Motrin and Tylenol like I could’ve thought of that myself. Just go to Memorial Hermann.

Went in yesterday was told my wound would be redressed and the doctor moved us to a waiting room where we waited for 20 minutes only for nobody to come. Then a nurse came and we explained we’ve been waiting and she said she’d find somebody, which she never did. The portal is completely useless as it says there are so contacts or doctors assigned to me. I’ve called during office hours and the prompts have been completely useless and I haven’t been able to speak with any real person to do something as simple as speak about my prescription. Really ridiculous as this is supposed to be urgent healthcare and they are charging you an arm and a leg only to completely ignore your needs.

The staff of professionals at Methodist Sugar Land Breast Center are amazing. They are kind, fun loving and truly supportive. I know I am misspelling their names, Arely, Cordilla and Tiffany are terrific! They made a mammogram on a Sunday morning a very positive experience. It was the best most comprehensive mammogram I've ever had. I felt safe and the lead tech was a true professional. I received my results quickly and because they compared my results to previous years I am confident they are correct. Thank you so much, and I will see you again next year.

The Hospital performed Clotting Time test for someone and put it my chart. I called many times and they refuses to remove it from my Chart. This is three months now and it's still myChart. I have called many time and they will not remove it. Any of my Doctors order it and they refuses to remove it. Be careful and watch your chart as wrong test can be assigned to you which is dangerous.

Great experiences with both of my deliveries, one at the beginning of 2021 and the second delivery the end of 2022. Staff was great from the beginning starting at the main lobby in the first floor when registering myself. Nurses were awesome on helping me with both of my deliveries, I had the same night shift nurse for both of my deliveries and they help you out so much and also give you a lot of information. The billing department helps out in setting payment plans at no interest and very low payment plans. The hospital is very big, always clean and very nice.

They did everything in a timely matter and very professional. I have not one complaint whatsoever. This hospital will be my go to for any of my medical needs. Thank yall for nursing me back to health

The nurse’s are great ,but the Doctor are non existent. They will come by your room for about two minutes and leave. So basically your care is up to the nurse on duty. The hospital equipment was constantly messing up. The beds are extremely uncomfortable.

Large hospital with friendly staff, no matter where in the facility. Garden Cafe is convenient for visitors, but not home cooking. Parking is free on surface or in the multi-story garage. Will post updates as the stay spans many days. The stay was going well except that no one could tell us when a procedure could be scheduled or what the next steps were. Should have been notified after the first night, but it took three nights when we were told a procedure could not be scheduled. Waste of time and money. Not happy...just tell us upfront. Will have the procedure at another hospital.

    * EXCLUDED from your Female WELL EXAM * During my last OBGYN Well-exam I was asked to sign a form named "Annual Preventative Gynecological EXAM", I must admit that I was shocked to see a list of the "5 Included Services " and the "13 Excluded Services'/Conditions". Please take the time to read the attached copy of such document. BE AWARE, if you go for your female well-check exam, you cannot tell the doctor if you have Pelvic Pain, Fibroids, Pelvic Prolapse, Urinary incontinence, Brest Complains, Vaginal Infection.... well, you get the point. Please correct me if I am wrong but paying as OBGYN a full consultation and not been able to talk to him/her about my female related concerns do not make any sense… please understand that I am not asking the doctor to talk to me for an hour or so… For the record, the time I spend with the doctor was 10 minutes max and 5 minutes with a nurse. I would like to ear your opinions and experiences.

I have too many nice things to say. Parking was easy, day surgery check-in was easy, literally every employee I interacted with was kind and outgoing. I received excellent care at this facility and would definitely choose it again, though hopefully we don't have too. This is what a hospital should be like.

Anyone who will wants to work or plan to apply in Imaging Department. I Used to work in Imaging Department as a tech. (Mrs Robyn Koch) is the manager is the worst manager ever, very intimidating and overpowering she has no ethics and been there for almost 20 years. Many employees comes and leaves within 6 months to a year because of her management tactics. Her reputation is worst. As a human being she isn't great. Also she hooked up with HR so if you think you can complaint about her, you will be fire not her. Scheduling dept. is closed for public in weekends but for her family she comes as a patient and make employees schedule the appointment for her and her's family which is not an ethical situation especially when you are a dept manager. Be careful before applying to Imaging Dept at Methodist Sugar land.

My Mom went there after a fall and everyone was wonderful. She was so well cared for. The nurses, OT, PT, and aides were attentive and caring. I called the pharmacy a week after she was released and they gave me so much time and great recommendations. I’ve never been so impressed with a hospital stay for a loved one.

So, I had to rush my dad to the ER on sunday for some shortness of breath. We arrive here and I can not say one bad thing about this staff as a hospital whole and we have been here since Sunday. They have treated my dad extremely well. I have read some of the comment on here and I understand that everyone has different experiences but we also must see how we carry ourselves to receive negative energy back. I want to thank Drew from the bottom of my heart for be being there for my dad to give him a reassurance, to show him humility, holding his hand knowing that he was in pain while he was having his procedure done, and foremost just being a kind human being! Also Ms. Melinda another awesome human, thank you. If who ever admin is reading this please I implore you to recognize these two individuals on the second floor ICU room number section 200-214. Both were working on Feb. 5. And also to the rest of the staff in the 4th floor on the east wing I have nothing but the most respect for all the individuals working there, they truly show what being a kind human being is all about. Also to the nutrition group thank you for everything your staff was so nice and polite nothing but the most respect to that crew as well. Last but not least housekeeping you are phenomenal thank you for everything! Thank you Methodist

😠 Soo, my husband was seen in the ER for stomach pain but it was then discovered his blood oxygen levels were reading 55-60. He was excessively falling asleep and almost like passing out. His nurse Tony was kind and concerned. He assured him he would be taken care of. However the ER doctor tried to se...

😠 I don’t recommend this hospital for your loved ones. They don’t listen to families and they don’t welcome family involvement. Patient relations lady is a joke. We told her we found our loved one medication in the trash and she said will call the nurse in charge and never got to our room. The nurse...
