I
was
referred
here
by
our
school
psychotherapist.
Initial
call
was
great.
Arrived
Friday
night
at
8pm
to
a
gentleman
that
was
difficult
to
understand,
but
cordial.
We
waited
in
the
front,
then
passed
through
secure
doors
to
the
back
where
we
waited
again
in
a
dimly
lit
room
with
patches
of
grey
paint
all
over
(maybe
they
are
going
through
a
renovation!?)
but
if
we
weren’t
depressed
before,
we
sure
would
be
after
leaving
this
area…
we
were
led
into
a
small
room
with
a
round
table
where
again,
there
were
grey
patches
of
paint
(odd).
We
were
all
fully
masked
but
the
social
distancing
protocol
wasn’t
followed,
as
the
table
we
were
at
made
us
sit
quite
close
to
each
other.
The
female
nurse
that
conducted
the
surveys
and
questionnaires
in
this
little
room
did
a
basic
procedure
of
intake
and
then
handed
us
the
wrong
folder-meant
for
adults,
and
only
because
I
read
everything,
I
noticed
the
schedule
and
the
sticker
and
the
main
folder
to
be
the
incorrect
file
altogether.
We
were
then
given
the
correct
yellow
adolescent
folder.
We
were
told
they’d
call
us
within
24
hours
and
then
were
sent
on
our
way.
It
was
pretty
anticlimactic.
We
waited
for
24
hours.
Then
48.
Then
when
it
was
going
on
72
hours
(Monday
afternoon),
Sharon
Galloway
called
us.
She
was
very
helpful
and
almost
cheerful
but
again,
while
she
invited
us
to
begin,
I
had
not
received
any
information
on
the
cost
of
insurance
breakdown
and
was
told
the
business
office
handled
this.
We
were
told
she
could
start
as
early
as
the
next
day.
We
opted
to
wait
2
days.
Today,
we
finally
received
confirmation
that
we
needed
to
pay
a
$1600
deductible
that
hasn’t
been
met
through
insurance
(since
we
just
moved
here)
and
then
that
we
had
a
40%
copay
after
that
for
services
which
included
a
10
day
education
program
called
PHP
-
$350/day
$210
is
my
40%
Copay)
For
the
PHP
program
(partial
hospitalization
program)
they
have
group
therapy
sessions
of
mindfulness,
coping
strategies,
yoga,
a
few
other
things
and
then
it
looks
like
they
are
pulled
out
individually
for
1:1
psychiatrist
sessions
but
no
background,
profile
or
even
an
option
to
choose
a
particular
doctor
is
offered.
They
just
say,
“those
sessions
are
billed
separately.”
I’m
not
sure
the
non-personalized
attention
is
worth
this
amount
of
money.
As
you
can
see,
there
were
just
too
many
questionable
steps
or
interactions
we
had.
You
are
providing
a
service
for
mental
health
and
well
being.
Somewhere
along
the
line,
you
have
lost
the
personal
touch
of
customized
care
and
providing
timely,
thorough
consultation.
Each
department
works
in
their
own
silo.
I’ve
spoken
to
an
intake
gentleman
(nice),
physical
receptionist
(neutral),
Sharon
Galloway
(super
helpful),
Miss
Erica
(follow
up
to
intake-very
helpful
and
was
the
one
who
told
me
outpatient
would
be
closed
through
Monday
and
so
I
would
not
have
been
called
within
24hours
since
we
were
there
on
Friday
night),
and
Theresa
(outpatient
coordinator
and
very
understanding
of
these
concerns).
Also
finally,
they
have
a
mask
mandate
of
course,
as
it’s
still
COVID
and
now
there
is
omicron,
but
these
are
5
hour
sessions
in
a
group.
No
one
could
tell
me
whether
my
child
was
going
to
be
in
a
room
with
unvaccinated
or
vaccinated
participants.
How
are
you
going
to
mandate
vaccines
for
your
healthcare
workers
but
not
protect
them
by
mandating
vaccinated
participants?
It
makes
no
sense.
I’ll
leave
2
stars
because
we
haven’t
used
the
services
yet
as
we
are
still
trying
to
find
affordable
care
that
seems
thoughtful
and
intentional
vs
assembly
line
intake
and
generalized
care.
