I ALMOST DIDN'T SEEK HELP BECAUSE OF THESE REVIEWS!! READ PLEASE! I have a really complicated case but basically I don't respond to medications so my mental symptoms are uncontrolled. No psychiatrist in 10 years has been able to help me and my condition keeps worsening. I NEVER wanted to go to a mental hospital because of all the things you imagine it will be like, but I was at my lowest and couldn't take it anymore. After an interview I was admitted, all of my things were inspected, pictured and then put into a safe possessions room. You CAN bring books but only paperbacks no hardcover, hygiene products with no alcohol, clothing without pull strings, and I brought my blanket but simply had to get the doctor to make an order to release it to me. I would highly recommend bringing some slides or sandals that you can wear in the shower. A lot of the reviews talk about the technicians (techs) being mean, in reality they're having to calm down patients that are throwing tantrums so they have to have a backbone and be assertive or else no patient would listen to them. They are cool people and will talk and joke with you all day but they're there to keep everyone safe and happy, not let everyone walk all over them. The same with the nurses, they're very helpful with whatever you need and are there all night and day. I was assigned Dr. Nagpal and she was seriously wonderful. She didn't rush me even a little bit when I was explaining all of my issues and asked her a thousand questions. It's so hard to find that in the mental health industry. Besides that everything wasn't even as close to as bad as I thought it was going to be. They divide the unit so that the males rooms are on a different side than the females (even the bathrooms are gender assigned and on opposite sides) and male employees NEVER enter a female patients room unattended by someone else, super respectful. It's not a hotel, it's not the best bed and blankets, or ideal to not have locks but these people are here to help you 24/7 while you're there. You have access to the phones from 6am to 10pm, you can use it as long as you want and make 20 calls if you wanted to, no restrictions. I was super nervous about the other patients but it was such a diverse group of different people going through different things and I made a lot of friends unexpectedly. To be surrounded by people (patients and staff) that understand your mental health issues and have your back is nothing I've had before, everyone is there for you. Yes patient tantrums are common but the techs are really good at calming people down and doing everything in the safest way. I'm not afraid to come back and felt better for the first time ever, I actually ended up wanting to stay longer because I could relax and get help whenever I needed. Don't let these reviews scare you, you'll be taken care of and even meet some cool people. IF YOU NEED HELP DON'T BE AFRAID TO ASK FOR HELP.

This place was great, even though some of the staff said I would be back after hearing me share my dreams and goals with others they would try and put me down. Unfortunately for them, I am doing better than I deserve all glory to God Almighty. My advice to anyone who is seeking help is: Write your goals down at night, reward yourself when you accomplish them and if you fail see what you did wrong try it again but in a different way. Don’t give up, you are not alone. God doesn’t test the weak, never forget that.

Do not send you’re loved ones or self here, work care I have ever had. You are locked in with nothing to do, no books, no games, no groups therapy. Rude nurses, rude techs, and they don’t separate you from those that hear and see things that aren’t there. I didn’t sleep the first 2 days because my roommate was psychotic and was freaking out in our room the whole time. We had a covid out break, no precautions were taken, dirty, and they don’t care about your safety or how you feel about your safety. My lawyers will be contacting this hospital.

This place has to be in the top 3 worst psychiatric mental health facilities and I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s not number 1. The staff is rude , disrespectful and doesn’t do their jobs correctly and that goes from doctors to janitors. I’m pretty sure a majority of these people have no training in caring for a person with mental health disorders needs, they physically , verbally ,and mentally assault you to belittle you and make you feel less then who you are . I’ve filed several grievance forums while I was there and I mean serval and no action was taking against the staff tht assaulted me and made me feel less then human. They do not respect your religious believes as my phone was turned off when I tried to contact family to say prayers. They do not accommodate any needs or special request you have because of your beliefs. They manipulate you into going to these evening meeting spreading false lies saying “ you can leave early if you attended” I still had to wait 2 weeks straight before I got out. This place is also very unsanitary as I discovered human hair in my breakfast, lunch and dinner. I stopped, trying to eat after the third day and only eat prepackaged snacks And I hope whoever’s in charge of that he’ll hole sees this and hippa and human rights organization. I pray the man above is merciful with y’all because I most definitely would not be and will exert every option to see y’all close for what y’all did to me

Terrible service in reception, went to get a warrant for my brother in law and Tina in the front desk was rude. She kept giving me an attitude when i would ask questions and kept rushing me. She was just being very rude and unprofessional to other people there as well. Said i needed to find a bed in 10 minutes and was just cutting me off not wanting to hear me out and just plain rude. I asked the other lady there for help and Tina came to me and said she had already told me and to move so they can help the next person. This wad a bad experience with Tina, please hire staff who actually want to be there. I been going there for years and i never ever had any problems with any of the previous staff every one always is so helpful and professional, she definitly was not. Tina needs to be replaced!

DO NOT i repeat DO NOT bring your love ones where. This is the worst place to bring anyone. The staff (those that answer the phone) are beyond rude and disrespectful. They purposely hang up on you. They tell you the person you calling for is not here, you called the wrong number, and they are sleeping. When you threaten to report them and ask for a manager than is when they will transfer you to speak to you loved one. The head nurse herself Ms Roso does not help. When you tell her the issue, she just acts concern than she goes and laugh it off with the staff. Please do not bring nobody that you love there. TAKE THEM ELSEWHERE. When you want to know information about them. They just tell you the Dr. will call and they never do. Even if you call back 4 days later. And ask. They tell you he might or might not call. So there is no way to get information about them. This place is a nightmare. everyone that works here has no soul.

COMPLAINT AGAINST YOUR EMPLOYEE DERWOOD JAMES To whom it may concern, Good morning, I have been to your facility on 3/29/2023 to get some help for my Son that is in urgent need of a Mental Evaluation. I filed a Mental Health Warrant. Since then, I have been following your procedures, as to call every single morning to see if you have a bed available and placed on a waiting list. There has been no luck since then. I have set an alarm on my cell phone to call every single day exactly at 9 AM and I have been doing it since then. At times your line doesn’t open until 9:10 AM or like today 4/11/2023 at exactly 9:05 AM I write down in my journal every single day who I speak with… Today, I was rudely greeted by your employee named Derwood James, I always start with Good Morning my name is Sandra Cristech and I am calling to see if any beds available for my Son (name ) , then they always answer … No, we don’t have any beds available and we will add him to the list. Well, today Mr. Derwood James ( I asked for his name) cut me off very unprofessional and rude! I didn’t even finish saying my name “ Good Morning my name is San…. “ and cut me off and his exact words were “ Yeah- Yeah-Yeah we’re busy … What’s the Patients name? Gave him my Sons name and cut me off. Is this the type of employees rude with no professionalism you have working at your facility answering phone calls? This is unacceptable and this is the first contact about this complaint. I am still doing research where else to file a complaint about this employee of yours and be heard and have something done about it. I am sure that I am not the only one this person has greeted with rudeness and no people skills. I hope this email gets forwarded to the correct department and someone can bring this to this gentleman’s attention.

I just left 3ECHO a couple weeks ago. This was the best experience, under the circumstances, that I've ever had. I have been in and out of rehabs for alcoholism many times. My doctor detoxed me off of all my meds and helped me adjust to the meds I've needed all this time. The techs became friends. The nurses were there to help me. I saw my doctor every day! She was there all day long and accessible to me. There were many different people with a variety of mental health problems on this unit. Nobody was there to judge another. I miss the staff and hope everyone is doing well. Thank you for being there for me. HCPC was my missing link to getting sober and so far so good! Sending my love...

I have been treated here more than once (needing treatment again was MY fault). This treatment facility is amazing. They are caring and helpful - it's not about money for them. I would (and DO) recommend this center to ANYONE who needs help. I fully realize that everyone's situation is different and requires different methods of treatment and different points of view, but quite honestly, many of these negative reviews are absolutely ridiculous. The reviews are distorted in anger and completely unjust.

BE AWARE!! The place is UNLAWFUL and they purposely throw people in there even if its wrong. They will create fake diagnosis, with little to no real sense.. and they wont listen about correcting the issue.. ruining peoples lives. character assassinations. character defamation. Character slander. BE AWARE!! UNLAWFUL!!

They should separate the patients that are knowingly from the ones with weak minds and the ones with weak minds should be sent off to place to be reborn and learn how to care for themselves properly. I was a patient here and I regret not reading the evaluation forms they would send me home with, now I’m stuck with not knowing what I was told or what was really wrong with me. It’s my own fault and now I’m living with that. I got my history faxed over but they knew I couldn’t read it in the way it was fax. So hopefully this place wasn’t a mistake and I’ll be ok.

I left this facility not too long ago and I'm going to say it was a few amazing techs here that made me feel SAFER and ACCEPTED more than others but I honestly feel like too many mental games were being played for this to be a facility where we get mental help!!! There were many times I start feeling like this was going to be the place I die at and for a minute it was too much going on!!! My mental declination have it to where it is hard for me to go to sleep because too much static (overly emotional and racing thoughts) is going on in my head and being in here at first made it to where I still couldn't go to sleep for a long time because I didn't have enough peace!!! I think yall need more peace elements to help a person feel safer here instead of stuffing medicines down their throats and making them feel like the lack of peace is coming from not taking medicine!!! This place has potential but it need a lot of correction and improvement!!! At first I wasn't going to leave a review but by the look at other reviews it seem as though I'm not the only person that had an awkward experience and it needed to be shared to bring awareness and hopefully yall can improve on some things!!! I know yall deal with mental health patients but at the same time we still have voices and we still need to be heard when we are trying to voice concerns!!! I most definitely felt like I was being put up to some type of test at first and it wasn't healthy for me at the time but now that I'm out I can honestly say this was a Born Again experience and I learned alot from this facility !!! (The 3 stars literally came from the GOD in me and for SOME of the angels I ran into at this facility *patients and techs*)

I brought my little girl to this hospital out of concern For her mental health and well being. I was Already a little upset and emotional bringing her there I have to say that was the Most uncomfortable experience I ever have. I was told over the phone that all I have to do is fill out one paper and let a doctor evaluate her If There was a need for she would be admitted, If not The doctor would Recommend additional therapies for my daughter. However when I got there the 1st thing I did was made me turn off my phone and they took my purse I had nothing but the locker key. Then I get in and go to the Back, The nurse back There had a little attitude and that attitude came out more and more. Bottom line I was not explained the procedures over the phone which made me unprepared for The Visit and the nurse in the back made things extremely uncomfortable .I can't trust this place with my daughter I was thinking if the nurse was being kind of rude to me and that was the beginning of the process what is she gonna to do to my daughter when I'm not around ?That's a chance I'm not willing to take. If I need help I will go elsewhere. I need to find a place where I can feel comfortable knowing that my daughter is with people who are going to help her and not harm her. My daughter is 9 years old has special needs And I was not confident that this was the right place for my child based on the atmosphere and vibe alone.

I just want to let the people know who think this is a profesional place, these people are not professional.. I was there for depression and now they are charging me too much. I already paid two bills, one 1,800 and another 1,000 and they continue to charge the same amount. I try to reach them but they don’t have the right answer and keep sending bills. If you need help don’t go here, as a mental center please don’t trust them. You are gonna be worse and see the financial cost.

They was ok to me but it was odd and I didn't like how they treated sum of the other people that was there trying to get help like I was trying to get help people that are trying to get help don't need to be tormented or treated poorly and given a shot to calm down they just need to be heard everyone is going threw something I prey everyone gets the help they needs in life but I did get to make some really good friends while I was there I can't wait to see them again when they get discharged out of there

I checked out of 1E a few months ago and as much as I hated this place, the nurses were very nice so got to give credit to them, but most of the techs were rude and didn't care about the kids. whenever we would ask questions they would always be mean and rude in their response. but some of the techs were nice like Mr. TJ and Mr. Ted was awesome. also shout out to Nurse Chris, Nurse Christopher, and Nurse Gina for making my stay a little less miserable.

Waited 4 hours to be assessed and then only to be told no beds available. Ineffective and unprofessional when patients need help the most. Terrible.

I am a psychiatrist. I have had patients admitted literally all over Texas. This is the facility that I most prefer my patients to be admitted to if they must. My patient's have provided me with favorable feedback and I trust the care that my patient's receive at this facility. Also my patient's and I greatly appreciate that HCPC has their own admission process which can often times bypass the ER. Thank you HCPC for caring for my patient's in a respectful and competent manner.

Place was good, was in the children's unit 1C and it was going well til the night shift came. They were all rude to me and would shine a flashlight in my face every 10 to 15 minutes, had a girl there that was pregnant with her dad's kid. Bless her soul. I don't want to ever go back again. I loved the techs though, and the day shift.

I left on March 22th I was there for almost a week, this is a good phys ward, the therapy groups were fun, everyone there was nice, the food wasn't the best but not the worst, the activities there were fun, the techs there were so much fun and made me feel safe, the nurses were very nice and funny, everyone made me feel better, I loved it.

I went there bcuz of bpd problems. But it was amazing they took care of me n helped when I tought I didn’t need any help the best docter is docter knobels he took care of me n knew I didn’t change so he didn’t send me home right away but after I tought abt all my problems n actually changed with a lot of the workers help I soon became way better so it was a nice stay.

I went there for help and the Techs especially this woman named Courtney treated me horrible! I've never been called the B word more in my life..these people violated my shower time by going live when I was showering and sharing it on their network. I know because the male techs mocked me about it...these people were so disrespectful! I don't wish this kind of treatment on an animal!!! But the doctors are terrific!! U won't find better doctors,I promise you!! The facility is clean...one of the best things is they're the only doctors who gave me the right medication...if it wouldn't have been for the techs my stay would have been pleasant.

I’m very upset my girlfriend had been there for more than a month no diagnosis no response for treatment the workers are so disrespectful she’s having a hard time and one of them nurses while I’m on the phone with her said “you just lost on the phone just talking” very disrespectful very unprofessional do not ever bring someone you live here complete waste of time no compassion for someone who is struggling I called the operator too speak too a supervisor nurse and they just hung up I’m completely done with this place

My son is currently there and I am pleased to say!! He is getting the help he needs I appreciate all the doctors and all who are part of my son's process. Thank you all for caring and understanding. You all are the real Super Hero 🙏🏾🙏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

I don’t understand how this company is able to have another hospital in Houston the same year they were shut down in Dallas for a hospital called Timberlawn behavioral health and they were shut down for multiple cases and everything and still this hospital is allowed to be open the hospital?? Timberlawn traumatize me and others in Dallas it caused me so much pain and suffering..please do not support this hospital please DO NOT bring your people here!!!

Do not send your loved ones here everytime i call to talk to my loved one they keep hanging the phone on me plus visitation hours suck 5pm to 6pm alot of us work around that time plus the staff always give you an attitude when you ask them for something i would give them zero stars if i could

I was mentally abused, yelled at for no reason, and manipulated here. I do not recommend. This experience was traumatic.

Thank you for the care given to my daughter and the support! She did mention the food was a bit dried but that's not an issue! Safety is priority! Thanks everyone for everything!
