They were extremely rude and condescending. They treat people poorly and that amplifies symptoms of PTSD. I was suicidal and I was worse because they threatened me.

I applied at Methodist for a position, they called me and I was not able to answer at the time. They did not bother to leave a voicemail or anything. I called them back the lady that answered was very rude and hung up on me before I was even done speaking. I guess it’s best not to work here if they can’t even give good service.

The nursing staff does a terrific job to make you feel safe. The atmosphere is very therapeutic and there are ample amounts of structured groups ranging from O.T., music therapy, guided discussion groups for those who have higher cognitive abilities, and plenty of food and snacks. The unit is clean, but the showers are pretty bad.

This place has the kindest staff of any hospital I’ve ever been to. Very organized, lots of groups and activities, comfortable & therapeutic environment, nightly movies. My stay here was very beneficial for me. Best hospital in the Houston area.

The staff here is world-class exceptional, kind, and compassionate. Obviously, if you went involuntary you may not have the same experience but they treat everyone equally with human dignity and respect regardless of how they arrived. Psychiatrists, amazing nursing and tech staff, Group OT therapy and music therapy, sensory room, and patients are all working in sync in this safe environment where you can recover, heal, and find medications that work. It takes a dash of patience since meds are tricky, but you or your loved one is in great hands at MH Main - Psychiatry Inpatient Unit. They are committed to saving lives, literally. It's up to the patient to lean in and let them catch you.

The unit was amazing when Dr.Keenmon was in charge but now, the current doctor seems to put every patient in the same box , which is not logical. They also appear to pick and choose which patients are on the unit , which means you better not have any medical problems .

Run away since Dr. Keenman left.

However, they won't let you talk to the patient without the code. THIS, in itself is CRAZY!! How do you get the code if you can't talk to the person you are cal...
