They have ā€œchallengesā€ for their members to advertise so they can win prizes. I think one requirement is to write a good review. This makes the good reviews less trustworthy, in my opinion. Was a good gym, but has been getting worse now that they have over 700 members. It used to have a good, small gym feel, but has been going the way of corporate gyms. Not worth it anymore. Iā€™ve been a member for a few years, but Iā€™m going to switch.

I donā€™t ever give reviewsā€¦ but I had to give this one!! Iā€™ve had a bad experience with customer service and general professionalism at this gym. The gym itself is pretty. I was looking for a spa feel to a gym from what I have experienced living abroad for many years. I joined this gym on the 28th of January 2022 on a monthly basis. During the first few weeks I went to a few yoga classes and used the facility once or twice. I received notifications and emails from the gym and instructors. After experiencing it, it did not have the spa feel as there is no sauna and the steam room which I used once is so small that it can only hold 3 people max. Besides that, which is fine and can be overlooked as I saw it as just a gym from that point. Unfortunately I fell ill and had complications with my Type 1 diabetes. After a week of trying to go and realizing I had no strength, I phoned the gym and spoke to Lakeisha who I beckoned with to please put my membership on hold, stating that I could feel better tomorrow and come or in a few weeks which she did. I received absolutely no notification of the hold being up or the next billing cycle. At that point I had not seen the gym in over 2 weeks. I then saw a charge of $200+ out of my account in real time. I immediately called them, telling them no one sent a notification or an email and that I would like to cancel my account and request a refund. They told me to send an email, which I instantly did. I waited for a response, a week later and there still was no response so I called. I spoke to Tyler who said they donā€™t have my email- which I then sent him screenshots of my emails. After 3 weeks of lack of communication, a run around and utter nonsense they said in an email ā€œI opted out for notifications in my contractā€ - I stated that that was a lie and I did notā€¦ showing proof of other emails and notifications for classes etc. that I did receive. They also said ā€œ oh itā€™s a big gym we canā€™t email everyoneā€ - which I responded your selling point is personalized and your classes donā€™t hold more than 20 people. On their IG they blatantly say ā€œno contractsā€. Itā€™s the dishonesty, greed and overall lack of care for their clients that strikes me!!! Save your money, there are much better places with less pretentious, much nicer, honest people out there! That one star is for the designer who created a pretty gymā€¦ thatā€™s it!!

Stepping into The Preserve Gym was the beginning of a transformative fitness journey for me. This place redefined my workout experience, blending the pleasure of exercising with the beauty of nature. The gymā€™s unique nature-inspired design, envisioned by owner Molly Carter, creates an atmosphere where working out feels more like a rejuvenating retreat than a chore. The two-level gym, spanning nearly 16,000 square feet, is equipped with top-of-the-line equipment catering to all my fitness needs. The range of classes offered is impressive, and the small class sizes allow for personalized attention from the professional trainers. Whether itā€™s Pilates, which is a standout at the gym, high-intensity workouts, or a variety of yoga classes, thereā€™s something for every fitness enthusiast. One of the highlights is the heated saltwater lap pool, providing a serene swimming experience. The gym is never overcrowded, maintaining an exclusive and peaceful environment. The staff are welcoming and attentive, making every visit a pleasure. The Preserve is more than just a gym; itā€™s a sanctuary in the heart of Houston where fitness goals are nurtured and achieved in the most motivating and enjoyable way. I am incredibly grateful for the impact it has had on my fitness journey, making it a place I look forward to visiting every day.

Best gym I've joined since living in Houston! Gym is never packed and they have several classes you can join that are included in the membership. It is a beautiful facility that just exudes tranquility. The staff is extremely friendly and intentionally make the effort to get to know you. No corporate gym feel here.

Instructors are amazing and super professional and itā€™s really well managed. I am absolutely sure I will never find another fitness place as zen, pleasant and professional like this.

Feels like a spa! I love the clean vibe at this gym. No meatheads here. Not crowded at allā€”in fact, itā€™s the opposite. Cardio & cycle classesā€¦ Pilatesā€¦ 2-lane poolā€¦ itā€™s my fave gym!

How does a gym make you feel motivating, homey and relaxing, all at the same time? The Preserve is where I actually look forward to working out and swimming in between hectic work schedules. Highlights: Little crowd, very clean, no wait on equipments, highly experienced and holistic trainers/teachers, non-chlorinated and heated outdoor pool, outdoor rig on a turf, and genuinely personable staff. One thing that I really like is the seemingly like-minded crowd. They're typically focused, disciplined, courteous i.e. puts equipment back where it belongs. You rarely see folks on their phones, lacking situational awareness too. It kind of reminds you of the good old gym days! Folks who said it's small has yet to appreciate how nice it is to not needing to walk five minutes to get from one workout area to another. It has a wide range of key equipments for all types of workout on the same floor/area. It is clearly a very thought out fitness center and this makes it a rare find in Houston.

Iā€™ll start by saying I am really not a ā€œgym person,ā€ normally Iā€™m the person you have to drag to the gym because I just donā€™t really feel comfortable for several reasons (overcrowded, creepy guys, etc) but this gym is seriously amazing. Itā€™s almost always empty and everyone there is so welcoming! Iā€™ve never been to a gym that has such a therapeutic environment and it makes me not hate going to the gym which is a first. I also really appreciate the saltwater pool, I just wish they had lounge chairs out there too.

Training with Daniel has been such a positive influence in my health and wellness journey. Iā€™m a long distance runner that has been dealing with recurring injuries and with Danielā€™s Fascial Therapy expertise, I overcame those injuries and in the process became extremely self-aware of my muscular imbalances and where my weaknesses are. Danielā€™s expertise has helped educate me not just in the fitness aspect, but also wellness. It has helped me develop a healthy lifestyle that is sustainable in the long-term, and for that Iā€™m extremely grateful for! If youā€™re looking to be strong and healthy, and feel positive about yourself, then Daniel is your guy!! :)

We love The Preserve! There's a nice range of equipment and amenities, all top-notch and clean. They offer a good mix of classes, each led by instructors who really care about your form and safety. It never feels packed or overly corporate, like other fitness spaces in Houston. It's like you get to visit a retreat each day to focus on your well-being.

The Preserve is the best gym Houston has to offer! Small class sizes, not overcrowded, and personable staff. The gym itself is incredibly clean and aesthetically pleasing. I am so happy to be a part of The Preserve!

I love this place! A smaller, full service gym with a member cap so it never feels crowded and the staff all gets to know you quickly. Even other members are super welcoming and friendly. They have lots of different classes too so if youā€™re a fan of anything from orange theory type workouts to spin class to yoga, youā€™ll find many classes you love! The building is beautiful too and they hold the yoga classes on this gorgeous outdoor deck they have upstairs when the weather is right which is a real treat

This is my type of gym! The building is gorgeous, the facility is immaculate, the staff is friendly & knowledgeable, the trainers/instructors are all amazing! I've been a member for almost two years now...it's like my home away from home. Come check it out yourself!

The Preserve is the best gym in Houston! The staff is friendly and helpful; there's a wide range of classes that are challenging but fun; tons of equipment so you never have to wait; and the facility is beautiful, clean, and safe (feels like you are in a spa).

I appreciate being able to reserve a spot for group fitness classes. Instructors are really friendly and approachable. The amenities are well maintained. The front desk is super friendly and greets every member by name. The salt water, temperature controlled pool is a highlight. The fact that I can reserve a lane and swim uninterrupted is worth the fee for me. Ensure you want to agree to their terms and conditions as their cancellation policy is strict but fair.

This nature-inspired fitness club is a breath of fresh air compared to many gym experiences of the past. The Preserve has created an oasis of fitness with stunning architecture, quality amenities, and professional staff. It has a resort spa/fitness facility feel to it. They offer a variety of challenging small-group classes led by a fantastic collective of trainers. The class times are diverse and start on-time. The overall experience of the club is very intimate and many of the staff and members are on a first-name basis. The staff is very professional and do their best to keep everything in tip-top shape. Itā€™s rarely crowded and they also have a tranquil outdoor space where you are welcome to take some equipment outside or just grab some tea or coffee and take a breather at the garden tables. I also enjoy the outdoor saltwater pool which is heated. As the temperature drops outdoors, the pool gets reasonably comfortable for a swim. I love that there is an alternate entry to the locker rooms for quick pool access, that is very convenient. Outside of working out, the locker room is another wonderful space. A toasty steam room, oversized showers, and plenty of towels make it the perfect space to rejuvenate yourself. There is so much to love about this place and I think you will have to come experience it to see what resonates with you the most. Bottom line, if youā€™re looking for a beautiful, clean, and classy place to begin your fitness journey with a touch of zen, this is the place for you.

šŸ˜  This place is a disgrace. The two lat pull-down cables have been broken for over three weeks and they look at me like Iā€™m crazy for thinking they should be repaired. Most of the other equipment is either broken or missing. Even at $15 per month, itā€™s too much.

šŸ‘šŸ‘ I have been coming to Fitness Connection since April and I'm glad to say that I lost 30 lbs. It's a really big and nice gym. The perk is that they have a sauna. This gym also have many machines and cool classes. The workers there are really nice and knowledgeable. This gym is a keeper.

šŸ˜  By far the worst maintained LA Fitness Gym Iā€™ve ever been to. Most of the Leg workout machines been out of order for almost 3 months. They just stopped caring about fixing because the gym is always packed and theyā€™re getting their monthly dues. Literally thereā€™s just one machine for leg rise Workout...
