    *Follow me on my Google account for more reviews. Great customer service, however, cashiers and fitting rooms are limited. One fitting room in Women's, one in Kid's, & one in Men's. Cashiers are only in the kids dept & Home dept & one in Jewelry dept. Also, all returns have to be done in the Home dept. They do still have Sephora.

    Not sure how this store even stays open. Not very many shoppers in here anymore. After dark especially, no one even wants to park in the lot, since safety is a great concern. The store is well kept, and usually very clean. The employees seem to be very nice. The mall that this store is in has lost its luster.

    Anything on sale has no marked price. You have to search for a cashier to read the product bar code! For everything. We walked out. Self service without prices does not work for us.

    So it's the holiday season and there was one clerk checking out with a long line. And the lady in jewelry couldn't check anyone out unless you bought fine jewelry? And I was purchasing earrings but not fine jewelry that's ridiculous. They lost sales...

    By far the worst customer service experience ever. The sales clerks were rude and showed no respect for me as a customer. Not somewhere I will ever shop again.

    Store was not too crowded, making for a pleasant shopping experience. I was able to find suit jacket and pants in my size at a reasonable price (remember to use your coupon discounts)

    I started mall walking again now that the weather has warmed up. I do 4 big laps around the mall and that includes entering and circling each department store. This store just seems a bit tired and old. Not their fault as Covid made it harder for all the brick and mortar stores. I hardly ever see anyone inside shopping here. Their merchandise is ok I guess but not my style as far as the clothes go.

    If i could leave a negative review for the portrait department i would. I basically paid almost $200 to have my time wasted. Your schedule an appointment for them to make you wait over an hour. For pictures that look like i could have taken with my iphone. Don’t try to get a manager! They are no use at all.

    Make sure to take pictures of deals going on! This lady claimed it wasn’t the discount and then ran to the sign after my checkout to rip it down this is her hiding her face from after I caught her doing it when I went to take a picture. Thankfully her boss explained the situation after but after this crazy event I didn’t even want to hear it and wanted to leave

    I had a pleasant experience in the salon and photography session. The hair stylist did a phenomenal job with my hair. I love the way it came out and received many compliments. My session with the photographer was awesome. I told her I wasn't photogenic but she helped me and I loved the outcome. Thank you for everything.

    A lovely sales rep named Darris checked me out, and she made the purchase experience memorable. She had a wonderful smile, carefully checked that the sales price was reflected on the register, and in general treated me like royalty. We need more Darrises!

    While the order was fulfilled, it took three separate shipments. Was promised a pickup date of everything for August 18th Friday, and I did not receive that notice until Monday August 21st. This is inexcusable. I know it is UPS fault, but somehow they need to be held accountable for being 3 days later than they should have. That's why you got four stars instead of 5.

    Went to JCPenney at deerbrook mall today, picked out 4 shirts at $39.98 a piece went to check out one person was in front of me so I waited at a good 6’ distance from customer and cashier. Cashier said I had to wait in line. I asked where the line was and she pointed at a little sign that stated line starts here which was exactly the same distance I was standing from her. There was no one there but she insisted I go over and get in line. I have bursitis in my hip which makes it painful to walk. So I politely set the shirts on a bin beside me and limped out of the store. Stupid people asserting their authority has just cost JCPenney 4X39.98 plus I doubt I’ll ever walk back into this establishment

    It is right around back to school time, and the floor looks neat and tidy! I appreciated that. However, there was a young man by the name of Mark who needs re-taught about giving Customer Service. He was working in Domestics and I was speaking with him regarding outstanding customer service and that it all begins with a smile. Even with his black mask, I could tell he did NOT appreciate my input. What a shame! Today is November 11, 2022. I was greeted by many employees which I appreciated. The store was neat and tidy with items being very easy to find. A lot of sales for the upcoming Christmas season already which is very helpful. It was a pleasure to visit JCPenny. I was impressed!

    If you're looking for NICE clothes for a special occasion in women's plus sizes, forget it. The plus size area is where they move all the regular sized junk that has already been discounted a few times. I often give a place of business the benefit of the doubt, and rarely post a less than flattering review, but J.C. Penney's does this consistently in many of their locations. I'm honestly trying to find something nice to say about this store, but I can't. It is very sad to see what has become of this chain.

    Horrible experience with picking up ordered items. Received email all items ready to be picked up and half were missing. Manager who assisted confirmed they received all items but were lost. Then he refused to go to storage room to try and locate them. While "assisting" me, he continued to handle other customers. Was there over an hour and disgusted when I left. Lazy employees who know nothing about management or customer service!!

    Just moving to town and did not know any hairstylist. Called this JCPENNEY in Deerbrook mall and met Rosalyn and what can I say she worked a miracle on my natural hair and I KNOW I found my forever stylist. 😊Very easy to talk to her consult was personal for my hair type and Im so grateful I will continue to see Rosalyn as long as she would have me my new best friend. 🥰

    Purchased a nice watch to compliment my son's tux for prom and they were about to fit it in the spot. Not very expensive but super nice. The band broke the night of the prom. Not very happy about that.

    Excellent customer service. The young lady at the counter was helping an elderly man to find his online order to return his refund. Pleasant experience to a caring person.

    Rude employees. Stood in a line for 15 minutes only to be told that returns/exchanges can only be done at a specific register. 🙄There was absolutely no signage indicating that. I suggested that they add signs at the registers to indicate they are only for purchases so as to to not waste customer’s time standing in line. The associate, Melissa, was nonchalant and kinda rude about it. Then, the associate who handled my return, Darris, was condescending and unprofessional. She stated that I should’ve returned the item at the original purchasing location because in her words, “ it messes up my inventory.” Lol like I was supposed to care? Definitely won’t be shopping at JCP anymore.

    The store itself is clean and maintained but there's only one dressing room.. and alot of the clearance clothes is way neglected.. I enjoy the hunt so it doesn't bother me but my shopping companion was turned off to the lack of organization.

    Horrible!!!! I arrived at the store around 7:30 pm to purchase a blouse for a last minute meeting that had occurred.The lights began going off on the 2nd floor my daughter and I were headed to the cashier's area to make a purchase. Then all of a sudden a cashier walks toward us and demanded us to get out the store! she quoted these words exactly " LADIES YOU NEED TO LEAVE THE STORE WE ARE ALREADY CLOSED!" I was in disbelief (praying under my breath asking God to control my temper) I asked her well can I purchase my items she said no because they had already closed there registers on their floor.I told her I was going down to the 1 st floor to make a purchase because I had been in the store shopping before they decided to close.She shook her head and stated you can try but we are closed.Ive been a card holder JCPenney's for over 15 years and never felt treated well that type of disrespect.I will be reporting her.

    Its my local go to store!! Love me some JCP! Love the deals and discounts offered almost daily. I get good quality items for affordable prices here. Not a big fan of the kids section though!

    Great selection but the lines was very long & only one cashier, however the problems I witnessed her going through with credit card errors, returned or items not showing up on top of my issue in store or online purchase, this young lady continued to smile & be friendly. Honestly I couldn't imagine still smiling at 11:58 am & my morning has been chaotic already 🙃 😅 God know who to use🥰 The beautiful supervisor that kept going bk & forth to resolve the issues I tip my hat off to her as well ..AWESOME SERVICES

    So unprofessional…. Dude I called Monday and asked if they were able to take me in that same day. They said no and I completely understand. I asked if there’s another day where they can take me for color they said Wednesday at 3:45pm. And she said that a hair stylist will text me and I’m booked. The hair stylist did text me and then Wednesday comes. I arrive at 3:40pm and tell them I have a appointment. They looked on their system and couldn’t find me and said I don’t have a appointment. I was confused and told the cashier that I spoke to the hair stylist and everything. They said they cancelled my appointment because I she was booked that entire day.. Didn’t I book tho… I am so unsatisfied on how they told me that exact day. Even the hairstylist could of texted me that… Unprofessional asf…

    Remodeled, I don’t know when, still not a lot of cashiers, clothing selection for boys is STILL VERY SMALL! Not appreciated at all! My grand children do not wear N%k3 for reasons of conscience so they need more selections. Customer service is why I gave 4 stars! They are amazing!
