Fence restaurant, with old kind of still interior. Normally clean but always is good to check. Food is delicious. The service is good. It was a pleasure to be here. Good time with friends at lunch.

Service was excellent and they accommodated our plates to share. Super friendly even towards the end of the day. Food was great and margaritas were too. Unfortunately there's only vallet parking. Wish they had more vegetarian options.

One of our favorite restaurants in the Houston area. The margaritas are some of the best in the area and the queso is also excellent. Fajitas are solid and the servers were friendly. Definitely would recommend others to try El Tiempo.

Easily the best TexMex restaurant I’ve ever visited (this rings true for all El Tiempos). The food is absolutely delicious, and the portions are very generous. The steak fajitas are absolutely the best I’ve had anywhere. The meat is tender, the vegetables are flavorful, and the salsa is a perfect combination of spicy and tart. However, my favorite item on the menu is the freshly made tortillas. The only downside is that I can only visit once a month when I’m in town for work. If you’re craving Mexican cuisine, El Tiempo will surely hit the spot!

Always one of the best Mexican spots in Houston. You cannot go wrong with their food! My go to favorite is the jumbo lump Crab Enchiladas!! It’s just not the same at other locations from this one on Washington! Highly recommend. Also, they have the best cilantro rice! It’s a great family restaurant as well. My son loves their cheese quesadillas.

Food was delicious and the Wednesday fajitas special was great. Homemade tortillas and beans hit the spot but kind of disappointed in the service. 11 at our table and our waitress refilled our drinks twice and disappeared, definitely wasn’t worth the $60 in gratuity she received. The bus boy started cleaning off our table when some of us were still eating, which is appreciated but he disposed of sides we didn’t even get to try. Thanks to him for being the one who got us refills the remainder of our stay. Restroom stalls are extremely small in size (pretty weird but they are)

I have wanted to dine here for several years, truly a landmark establishment. Group of 8 of us landed there and felt like we got the VIP Treatment. Staff was all-over us with superb service from start to finish. Food was amazing and even the CHIPS were hot! 1st class for sure!

Went here for the first time when I attended a lunch meeting. Had fajitas for the table and they were fantastic! Mixed fajitas included beef, chicken, and sausage, wonderful seasoned rice and we chose refried black beans. Guacamole, pico, sour cream and shredded cheese and your choice of flour or corn tortillas rounded out the meal. The beef fajitas were the best fajitas I have ever eaten! Highly recommend! The food was amazing and their chips were served with a red salsa that was good and flavorful and a green sauce that was thick and delicious! I can't wait to try other things on the menu!

El Tiempo Our family went to El Tiempo on Cinco De Mayo. Wow! The place was packed for the lunch crowd. However, we were seated very quickly amongst the crowded and loud restaurant. There was a very large party right next to us, so we almost had to shout to carry on our own conversation. The servers were quite busy giving fairly prompt service given the circumstances. The food, however, made up for the annoying noise. All dishes were excellent and very large portions. Definitely worth a trip back here on a less-popular day.

We’ll if you want Tex mex this is the place. We stuffed ourselves on the fajita special and the service was awesome. Also greatly enjoyed the deep fried ice cream (was legit) and the tres leches cake. Very delicious. Never though sipping meat in butter would taste so good. Guillermo took excellent care of us, kept the drinks full and was very patient as we had a hard time deciding what to eat.

Awesome place and ambience. The steak and the shrimp wrapped bacon was great. Nice to share, drink pitchers of margaritas and share pounds of meat, easy vibe.

Xotchitl Soup was so good, try it with fresh jalapeños and add all the toppings. 10 out of 10. Red Salsa was good , green creamy salsa was okay not the best. Friendly service aleays tentive. First time here in a Tiempo Cantina and defenetly not the last.

Absolute best Mexican food we’ve had! Salsas, veggies on the side, and chicken fajitas are all amazing flavor and great quality. Our favorite Mexican spot in Houston!

The food is is great! The Parrilladas are a great option for the family! An elevated iron skillet of meat varieties that you choose. For instance, I ordered 2 hard taco shells and selected steak and pork from the skillet. Plenty of salsas, cheese, pico, rice and beans to accompany the meal! Even the kids can select their meats from the skillet and order tortillas on the side.

As a visitor to this fine city, I am rewarded with some of the best Mexican food I have ever had the honor to taste. Incredible spices, cooked to perfection. Looking around this very busy place of appetizing bliss, all I witnessed was delicious plate after plate of satisfying goodness. I will be back as often as possible. The service was outstanding, impeccably on time and the food piping hot. They fulfill your every request. May I and suggest sitting in the back patio area for a classic look of Mexican delight.

absolutely will not go back to this place. For an entire pound of fajita, they provide to table spoon of pico!?!? over price

The spicy margaritas are delicious and so we're the enchiladas. Admittedly these photos do not do the food any justice.

Best Tex-Mex in Houston. Had the Carne Guisada Burrito. It was spicy and packed with flavor. The portions are huge. The service is excellent. Margaritas are tasty. This is my favorite restaurant now and I’ll definitely be coming back!!

El T is always a blast and an authentic Houston Tex-Mex experience. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu especially the sizzling fresh steak fajitas paired with a few of the strongest, most delicious frozen margaritas in the city.

Margaritas are delicious and the flautas are very yummy. Plus I got a tres leches cake for my birthday.

GREAT SERVICE!! Our waiter constantly came back to refill drinks, give more tortillas chips, and ask if we needed anything else and were ok with our food. Awesome service!! The prices are higher than usual but thats maybe because the serving sizes are bigger. You can get pretty full off one plate.
