I
would
not
recommend
Kingwood
Pines
to
anyone!
Staff
treats
patients
as
less
than
human
and
I
was
told
by
several
nurses
while
working
here
to
“Just
ignore
the
patients.
It’s
what
I
do”
When
being
asked
by
patients
for
basic
human
needs
(like
using
the
bathroom
or
asking
for
food/water!)
I
noticed
a
lot
of
staff
members
will
roll
their
eyes
and/or
complain
directly
in
front
of
the
patient!
😢
There
are
a
couple
exceptions
to
this,
(The
children
and
adolescent
units
are
in
amazing
hands!)
but
seeing
the
disrespect
that
the
majority
of
staff
treat
their
patients
with
was
just
absolutely
heartbreaking.
Not
only
this,
but
when
patients
would
have
seizures
or
pass
out,
it
was
very
common
for
staff
to
claim
the
patient
was
faking!!
While
yes,
sometimes
a
patient
will
fake
or
exaggerate
their
physical
symptoms
from
time
to
time
it
is
rare!!
And
nurses
would
claim
patients
to
be
faking
their
symptoms
almost
every
time
a
seizure
occurred
or
someone
passed
out!
Very
alarming
behavior
from
staff
and
I
am
so
glad
to
no
longer
be
in
this
environment
where
patients
are
not
being
properly
cared
for.
Very
dehumanizing
to
patients
and
when
I
brought
it
up
to
supervisors,
my
worries
were
ignored.
I
would
not
recommend
working
here
either!
While
there
are
a
few
amazing
staff
members
whom
I
LOVED
working
with,
a
lot
of
them
were
miserable
to
be
around.
For
context,
I
am
a
disabled
individual
and
before
being
hired,
I
asked
if
I
would
be
able
to
take
short
breaks
to
take
my
prescription
medication
and
I
asked
if
I
could
bring
my
water
bottle
on
the
unit
to
drink
as
water
is
crucial
to
my
ability
to
be
able
to
function!
I
was
told
that
yes,
I
could
take
medicine
breaks,
and
I
rarely
got
them.
I
was
told
yes,
I
could
bring
my
water
bottle
on
the
unit,
and
I
got
fired
for
it!
It
has
been
a
couple
months
of
me
trying
to
get
in
touch
with
somebody
to
receive
the
paperwork
saying
they
fired
me
and
why,
but
I
have
yet
to
get
any
sort
of
response.
Additionally,
about
3-4
months
during
summer,
there
are
2
adult
units
that
go
without
air
conditioning
every
year.
I’m
not
entirely
sure
if
the
hospital
ever
actually
took
any
action
to
fix
this
issue,
but
seeing
as
it’s
an
annual
problem
I
kind
of
doubt
it.
If
I
could
rate
this
hospital
0
stars,
I
would!
Hospital
is
complacent
with
its
poor
service.
I
love
and
cherish
the
few
amazing
techs,
nurses
and
supervisors
that
work
here,
and
I
pray
they
never
leave
because
they
are
certainly
needed!
If
you
or
a
loved
one
needs
psychiatric
care,
please
take
them
to
West
Oaks,
Menninger,
or
Cypress
Creek
before
ever
even
considering
Kingwood
Pines
