ISSUE
WITH
POP-UP
CO-OP
I
have
absolutely
loved
visiting
this
center.
As
a
neighbor,
it
has
been
so
wonderful
having
somewhere
to
peruse
and
grab
amazing
food/beverages
as
I
walk
along
the
bike
paths.
One
of
the
most
enjoyable
aspects
has
been
the
professionalism,
kindness,
and
lovely
interactions
I've
had
with
store
and
cafe
owners.
*Please
note
that
my
comment
is
not
meant
to
deter
anyone
from
visiting
the
other
shops
or
cafes/restaurants
at
MKT.
Unfortunately
that
impression
was
a
bit
marred
yesterday
after
a
visit
to
the
Pop-Up
Co-Op
shop.
Cara,
the
owner,
was
following
us
and
giving
us
background/history
of
all
of
the
products
we
seemed
interested
in.
This
is
fine,
but
we
were
not
interested
in
spending
much
time
there
as,
due
to
my
disability,
I
have
trouble
standing
for
too
long.
As
we
were
leaving,
my
friend
saw
a
purse
she
thought
was
pretty.
Cara
yet
again
started
discussing
its
history/who
made
it.
At
this
point,
my
legs
hurt
too
much
to
continue
standing
there.
I
told
my
friend
that
I
am
leaving
at
which
point
Cara
Carbaja,
the
owner,
loudly
said
to
my
friend,
"I
guess
your
friend
doesn't
like
my
store"
and
turned
to
me
and
very
rudely
said,
"You
don't
have
to
come
back
to
my
store
again."
Mind
you,
I
was
not
looking
at
the
purse
and
didn't
ask
my
friend,
to
whom
Cara
was
talking,
to
leave.
For
Cara,
I
would
suggest
more
empathy
in
the
future.
Not
everybody
is
equally
able-bodied
and
customers
are
permitted
to
leave
your
shop
when
they
see
fit;
not
only
when
you
excuse
them.
I
would
also
advise,
as
a
former
business
owner,
that
the
best
way
to
ensure
a
successful
business
is
not
solely
quality
products,
but
the
professionalism
you
exhibit
and
your
ability
to
treat
all
customers
with
respect
and
dignity.
