    This gym is fantastic! I love Vilma’s TRX class.Her workouts help you strengthen your abs, improve your balance, agility, and overall body strength. Rosie’s Saturday OCR class is AMAZING! It will take you to a new physical level! I finished a Spartan trifecta because of it!! Your body will definitely thank you for this class. If you’re considering a gym come here and do not think about it twice! They have great prices compared to other places and the people are genuine and super helpful!

    Love, love, love, this place!! This is definitely my second home. Tom is a great trainer and really helps push people to their limits. The format of the workout is great and accommodates people of all fitness levels. I am currently training for a Spartan OCR race and Tom has taken that along with my other goals, and created challenging and effective workouts. I used to be a strictly long distance runner and I love the change in routine and the increase in strength that have come from working out here! If you are looking for some one on one training to go along with your group training, 290 fitness has that as well. What better way to start your day than with a personal training session before work? There are showers on site so you can head straight to work afterwards. The location is great, and the atmosphere is awesome! I love how everyone encourages each other and helps push each other! Come check out the place, I promise you won't be disappointed!! With 6:00 classes during the week you can workout and let the traffic die down after work.

    I chose 290 Fitness specifically for Spartan OCR race training. The goal is to get my first trifecta this year. I had attempted the Spartan Super (10K) without much training and DNF'd. When I started training here, I could barely do the wall ball. After 2 months, I was able to finish the Spartan Super and Sprint in one weekend. The workouts are hard, but that's what I like about it. And I love the camaraderie of a small gym that you cannot get at a big box gym. I love seeing the same people who work out together and motivate/support each other. I also have to thank Tom for the training I received because it saved me on an extremely difficult hiking trip (the Tour du Mont Blanc). The strength and endurance training allowed me to push through hiking mountain passes with extra pack weight (when a hiking partner could no longer carry hers). If you want a small gym atmosphere where the workouts push you to your limits so you can tackle big objectives, this is the gym for you. Highly recommend.

    Thanks for all you do 290 Fitness! Always supportive in and out of the gym and have helped me become such a better person physically, mentally, and healthy! Once you come here, you've adopted a new family!

    The Personal Training is the most rewarding that I have experienced! I have had several personal trainers over the years and Tom is by far the best! Tom is very knowledgable about fitness and truly cares about helping you achieve your goals! He mixes up the workouts and pushes you to be the best. The members of fun and everyone is real supportive. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed!!!

    I've been personal training with Tom for a year now and am really happy with the results. The personal training sessions are well planned, challenging and tailored as fitness levels increase. Tom's a solid trainer; providing encouragement and driving you to push yourself further. The gym is well equipped and is being continuously improved by ongoing investment in additional equipment.

    I started here about two months ago and it has been a total life change. This by far is the best gym and I love the training style. With in two months I lost 10 percent body fat and gained muscle. I feel healthier, less tired and I am motivated everyday to go to the gym. The people there are great and they make the whole experience that much better. BEST PLACE TO WORK OUT!!!

    I have known Tom and attended his classes for over five years. When he decided to set up his own gym, I followed him there! Tom has a wide knowledge of various forms of physical training from classic weight and cardio forms to "fighting" training. Tom himself is in superb shape, always upbeat, ever friendly, and helpful. He has passion for his work and it shows in the atmosphere at 290 fitness and in the facility itself. I got tired of the crowds and the impersonality of the "corporate gyms". I love the friendly, close-knit atmosphere at Tom's. In the past year working out with Tom, I've gotten bigger, stronger, faster and if I ever start following his nutrition advice maybe leaner someday too.

    **Update** Going on 11 years now and I am still working out at Tom's gym. I've been consistently doing the HIIT classes but have now added a TRX class into the mix. TRX instructor, Vilma, is awesome and pushes me to strengthen my areas of weakness, and sometimes even tailors her workout to focus on those areas. The 290Fitness Family works hard but plays hard as well: Spartan Races, The Murph Challenge, road trips, birthday celebrations, holiday parties! **Previous post** I met Tom while he was an instructor for spin and bootcamp classes at 24 hours fitness about 6 years ago and we have been friends ever since. He now has a gym that he built himself and offers fitness classes and workouts at different training levels. What I love most about his class is the laid back yet energetic attitude that he brings. He makes it fun as well as all of the students who make the best of the workout. We've become a 290 fitness family. Tom recently added a room with bikes and offers spin classes now. That's quite a way to add value to your workout. Come by and check it out! Steve

😠 This place is a disgrace. The two lat pull-down cables have been broken for over three weeks and they look at me like I’m crazy for thinking they should be repaired. Most of the other equipment is either broken or missing. Even at $15 per month, it’s too much.

👍👍 I have been coming to Fitness Connection since April and I'm glad to say that I lost 30 lbs. It's a really big and nice gym. The perk is that they have a sauna. This gym also have many machines and cool classes. The workers there are really nice and knowledgeable. This gym is a keeper.
