The Secret Group, on Polk street just off downtown. A nice, small venue that host concerts and comedians. Tonight I saw the Destroy Boys, a girl lead band from California. The venue was sold out, holding about 200 people. I like that it's non-smoking, and not too loud. Appeared to have ample security. A nice venue for an intimate concert.

This is a musical venue and comedy club. I went there on a Saturday night stand up, the comedy club is at the back and it's called "The Box". Affordable tickets, bought it online. I liked the line up, funny talented comedians. Friendly bartender. I arrived few minutes late and there was no chairs left and had to stand the whole time close to the bar which was not comfortable. I hope the managments will take note of this and provide additional chairs.

The secret group. it's a great place to have a drink and laugh, here you will have a very nice time (except for the tinder dates that are just going to talk and talk like cockatoos, no offense...), you can discover good new comedians every night.

I had an absolute fun time here with my friends! We went for emo karaoke lol! The DJ was fun and super laid back! It was awesome! So many people just having a good time and enjoying themselves! It got a little rowdy at one point but the DJ handled everything super chill and it was all in good fun! The doorman was also very sweet and welcoming! Over all it was a good time! I would love to come back for another karaoke night!

Great comedy club. “The Box” is the best spot to see amateur or upcoming comedians perform. Drinks are pretty priced, and tickets to shows are always reasonable. Highly recommend coming to this place if you want to see some funny comedians trying to make it in comedy—very fun atmosphere.

Was an amazing night of fun and drinks. The staff were great and the music was amazing! If you haven't seen Alexandra Kay and Cooper Alan yet find them near you!

Good looking venue. When I flew in for a show, the venue started 45m-1 hr earlier than on the ticket. I missed my favorite band. I informed the two door persons, and they did not seem to care. Have two star review on me boys. Start shows when people have actually arrived, a-holes.

Comedy club with 3 different performance rooms. Great place to see experienced comedians and also newer comedians just getting started. If you want to try stand up comedy The Secret Group has several nights (open mic, open microphone) where beginner comedians get a chance to perform on stage. Metered street parking and parking lots very close by. Parking in the lot was$10. Street parking depends on what time it is. One time I paid a couple of bucks and another time it was free. I've been several times and it's always fun

Best wheelchair friendly bar/venue we have found in Houston to date. We let the staff know ahead of time and they took great care to make sure we had enough space to sit and manuver for the comedy show. The drinks were delicious and staff was amazing. Can't wait to visit again. The front ramp is a bit steep but not unmanageable.

The Best Of The Secret Group was a bit disappointing. Although they had 5 or 6 comedians lined up, they mostly all had the same theme: their partner, dating and things about that. It was a bit funny every now and then and the price was decent, but I would expect more. If this is The Best, then I fear for regular shows.

The secret group is a really neat little venue for concerts that make it a really intimate feel with the artists. When the bands were done, they came off stage and I was able to give them high fives as they went by and talk to some of them at the merch booth during the second band. When the concert was over, I walked out to the main club and there was another huge party with a DJ going on! Definitely a great place to go.

1st time going to The Secret Group, got to see Chrissie Mayr perform in person, despite the late start. There was not much of a dull moment, & I managed to see Chrissie after the show ended which I told her in person that I hadn't seen a comedy show since Charlie Murphy performed at the Improv in Houston so long ago. If you want to see comedians in a location that is small but up & close its worth. The staff who work there seem chill

It was a pretty cool place to go for a Friday night out. Just know you need to be open minded when going to comedy shows, I saw people getting up and leaving because of some jokes the comedians made. Overall it was pretty funny, had good laughs.

Avoid. Awawark, angry millenials on staff and as clientele. If you are miserable, anti-social, and have that millenial skinny jeans and dress shoes kind of a sense of uptight entitlement, this is your jam. If such people make your sick, avoid this black hole of human recreation. The drinks are at Disneyland prices, so just know that going in.

Always a fun place to see live comedy shows! The bar is well stocked, staff is very polite and the bathrooms are clean too…and that’s no joke!

I love the booking this place garners, and I love the layout. However, it seems half of the staff is SUPER nice and kind/cool - yet the other half of the staff and certain "open micers" are just rude for no reason. It sucks going to a bar/show and telling yourself "just be grateful you got a drink without being insulted."

First of all, I'd like to start off by saying the staff here are SUPER friendly. I was new to Houston and they made me feel like I was a regular. Even though it was a New Year's party and everyone was certainly rushed, the bartenders got everyone taken care of in no time at all. The drinks were also unique and they had numerous different cocktails on tap. AND THEY WERE GOOD. I got to try several different ones and was happy with every single one of them. The music was great, they certainly know how to host a party. 10/10, would reccommend.

Great prices, great staff, and worth every penny. Small location, so great up close with comedians. Had a wonderful time.

Place was different than what I'm used to. In a good way. They played great music and the karaoke was fun! Apparently they have different venues. Check it out, you won't regret it.
