The music was ok and the salsa band was great. However, the dress code for a place such as this one that charges a good amount of money for enjoying a couple of hours must be strict. I saw people wearing tennis shoes, t-shirts, cargo pants and even beanie hats. That gives Tropicana more the aspect of a corner bar rather than the real night club it used to be many years ago!. also, the check for my table was a number written on a napking without details about the charges. that was very unprofessional and suspicious!!!.

Every time I come to Houston I go to Tropicana because my friends (always!!) are there, the dancing is phenomenal the dancers are amazing, people are really sweet + you work your cardio like no tomorrow!! I had the BEST time!! Like always. P.S. shootout: the manager is a great guy - he helped me tremendously with something last night. Thank you!! Hands down a LATAM Club you can’t afford to miss!

If you don't mind dancing with people your parent's age then this place has a band that will make you dance like Jim Carry in the Mask! The music is Phenomenal! Compensates for the $10-$20 parking, $15 cover pp & $14 drinks. Come for the live entertainment, totally worth the experience.

I was there for a salsa band a few months ago. Loved the place. Great atmosphere, beautiful people, great music, and great dancing. Happy they have valet services and that you can buy and reserve tables. They have top shelve drinks as well. This is not a place to be cheap at, if you want good service you will pay. But it’s worth it. While I read complaint about parking, what I would say is that if can’t afford or don’t want to spend the $25 for Parking this is not the place for you. This is place does have a higher standard and quality that outperforms most if not all other salsa clubs in Houston.

This is the worst club I have ever been too. The ladies at the front were so rude and nasty to my friend and I for no reason. The music is mediocre, they play only slow salsa music. Very little variety of music genres. I paid $50 for just 1 hours of little to no fun. $20 for parking, $30 for the entrance. Will never come back.

Made a reservation for a birthday the lady at the front is rude I told her about my reservation she said there’s no reservation didn’t even bother to check I had to point at the book showing her the name. On the phone I was told a price when arriving was a different price with parking same thing, the lady at our table rude as well after telling her no we will not purchase the bottle which it’s not the full size the normal typical bottle like any other club she was bother and took the reserved sign told us in order for us keep the table we have to buy drinks with her but obviously we didn’t not with that attitude club wasn’t pack for me and my friends taking up space or stoping her getting tip…… Band was great!

Is not a bad joint but is definitely overrated just be prepared to pay $20 for parking $20 for cover and $10 per beer

Great atmosphere, great music 🎶 I love that people can really just have fun here as long as you have a love for dancing. There is a bar, but you don’t need a drink to have fun. :) Everyone is pretty friendly. The band was awesome! They were so talented. It sounded as good as the radio. The only down side is that parking gets packed fast. It would be great if Tropicana could expand since it’s in demand. ;)

The clientele is very snobby if you're just a novice salsa Rumba dancer or have your own dance partner wait service is awful cover charge is ridiculous music is good I thought it. Plus finding somebody to dance with that isn't trying to take you home and get laid is about impossible. Feels like you're at a high school dance in at the sidelines hoping someone will ask you to dance.

I went on one of the Tuesday ladies’ night and had a blast! The music mix was salsa and bachata, mostly good salsa, which I was looking for. Lots of variety of dancers and good leads. Starts filling up from 11 pm onwards.

place is much bigger inside than what it looks like. Don't order any fancy drinks just keep it simple. Vodcka tonic etc. Good atmosphere
