Shows ZERO regard to the long standing homes and businesses that were here long before they showed up. The noise is ridiculous. Further, they never stick to posted hours causing the misery to last even longer for neighboring residents. Do better. Update: in response to a flood of bad reviews and complaints about the ridiculous noise, their response was to stay open LONGER with the outdoor dj on sundays and proudly posting so on social. What a slap in the face to the neighbors who are already so miserable. Beyond disrespectful. Even worse, they are deleting bad yelp reviews to make themselves look better. Will keep calling HPD, submitting complaints to the district reps., and keep adding my same bad review to yelp when they delete it. If they were serious about wanting to resolve things with neighbors as their comments suggest, they’d 1. Lower the ridiculous volume and 2. Stop staying open past posted closing time. However they’ve done neither of those things. They have no interest in actually working with the community whatsoever. ….and yet they’re still being obscenely loud and staying open in the ridiculous “sound garden” (which is a miniature patio at best) past closing time. The BARE minimum is closing on time so neighbors don’t have to endure your torture for longer.

Constant nuisance to the apartments in the area. Noise level is often way above what's allowed by their noise permit. It's pretty miserable living nearby. I'll save the owner the 3 seconds they usually take to copy/paste this: "We would love the opportunity to speak with you and find a resolution. Please reach out to us at your earliest convenience." Making so much noise that everyone in a two block radius hates you isn't a difficult problem to solve.

While this place advertises itself as the newest and hottest club in Midtown. It is sorely lacking. The staff are rude and it seems like the cover charges change at will. And I get the outside is a “sound garden” but if I can’t even have a conversation with someone a foot away from me, maybe turn it down a bit. I can’t even imagine the neighbors and how they feel. You’re definitely better off going somewhere else.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I went here last weekend with a couple of friends and initially had a good time that was quickly ruined. A patron (or so she seemed like at the time) who seemed to be in cahoots with a bartender got access to my card information and ran up my card. I bought one thing and closed out my tab, then after I leave the bar I get card notifications that another charge was made. The next day I see my initial charge is more than 3 times what it was supposed to be. smh do not go here. Don't get conned. Now I am going through the fraud process and have to get a new card. STAY FAR AWAY. Will not be back. 10/10 do not recommend.

Not the best first impression. The door man was extremely rude, might have been having a bad day, but had a lot of attitude when asked simple questions. After entry was told could sit anywhere, was sitting in the center couches having drinks with friends for over an hour then approached by one of the staff and two young men and told we needed to get up and move elsewhere because these two men wanted our seats. (The couch directly behind us was empty) I asked if the couch was reserved, didn’t answer the question, and just told to move. Cool interior, just wish the staff we encountered was more inviting and less rude.

They're a relatively new venue in Houston and they’re trying to expand and attract more people, but their attitude is unlikely to get them far in the scene. Having been to a number of venues around the US, I just predict this one to fail real quick if they don’t do something about their arrogant staff soon.

Insanely loud bass music at all times - no regards to the neighborhood around it. Really wish they would be respectful to the noise requests from neighbors

Music is good, as well as the ambience. The issue I have is that their cocktail menu advertises drinks with very specific name brand liquor, yet when they make the drinks, they use the cheap well bottles. For example, the Desert Orchid advertises with 818 tequila, but the cheap stuff was used. Also for the Hot kiss, says they use patron. Once again, saw them use the cheap bottle. Can someone please explain how that’s alright? Change your menu if you’re going scam people.

This is like a nightclub hang out type of place. Suitably dim lights, romantic place for a tryst (hence the name of the place!). They have a very well stocked bar with every libation conceivable! It’s just opened so everything looks fresh and new. Check’em out!

The computer system went down and they couldn’t serve drinks for like 10 minutes. No big deal, Im in the service industry and things happen. But the problem was when the system came back up. I had been at the front of the line since the system went down and every bartender skipped over me continuously until finally my friend asked if he could order a drink for me and he was immediately acknowledged. The bartender said the system was down, but literally the bartender next to him was paying someone out on the system as he said that. It felt discriminatory as I’m a plus size woman and they kept serving the more petite women before me. There’s no way they didn’t see me, I was standing at the bar for 20 min total bc of the system shut down and waiting patiently to order. The music isn’t my taste and after the way the bartenders treated me, I don’t see myself going back.

Went here for my birthday about 2 weeks ago on a Sat and the sections were pretty spacious. The bathrooms sucked bcuz they are individual so you basically just pick a door and stay by it but people that come after you may pick a faster door and so you could be waiting forever. We had to pay a minimal of $800 plus gratuity is added with that so spent like $920 on the section. (Wasn't worth it to me) The music was disappointing, especially with an older crowd. Nobody was trying to hear EDM music at 1130pm through the WHOLE night. My friend and I even walked up to the dj and asked if they would play hip-hop music(even 80s or 90s would have been cool) and the guy with him said "that he will soon, that's what he plays usually." The whole night I heard like 3 songs that were hip-hop and even with those, the dj mixed those with EDM songs smh...wasn't trying to fist pump the whole night but had to just keep good energy about it the whole night since it wasss my birthday.

THE WORST PLACE TO BE. I was celebrating my bachelorette and the staff treated us as we were trash. I came here because I really enjoyed the first time we were here but this second time they were rude and telling us bad words.

Great vibe and great spot to gather with friends and have a great time. Dj usually play pretty good music..and they have a very open and spacious outdoor space and hookah is available to order as well so if you a puff here and there that’s gonna be your new favorite spot.

Stop !!! Stop !!! Stop !!! Think about it... You only get one night a week to go out on the town. Don't waste your time by going to same old boring night club. Go have some fun at Pretty Lair. If your looking for a great night out on the town make Pretty Lair your first, last stop and only stop. The sound system is amazing and top of the line. I dont think it can matched anywhere in Houston. As matter of fact if you know a place better let me. The patio is design to met and engage with others in afriendly atmosphere. With a responsive staff that will make your night or Sunday patio visit one that will make you want to come back for more. You owe it to yourself to try Pretty Lair. Had one expression martini, didn’t close my tab out thought they would add 20% but they decided to tip themselves. The drink I had was 16 and they charged 30! That’s insane I’m in the industry as well and that’s just greedy. It was Saturday night it was a light skin bartender. DONT LEAVE TABS OPEN THEY’LL OVERTIP THEMSELVES

Really impress on how I was treated as a performer, really attentive front door staff and security also bartenders and bottle service were outstanding. The crowd loved the percussion and the live music vibe for the New Years. A sure mile stone to have perform in here with the great Tony Styles, thanks a bunch!!

Good place for techno music on town. Is a chill mood. More for speak than for party for sure. Really good drinks over there.

First time there we really liked the vibe, anytime Re'Va is there you know it'll be a good time!

Beautiful place! Very nice atmosphere but extremely busy! Be sure to make a reservation or you’ll be standing at the bar all night! The food leaves a lot to be desired but the service and drinks make up for it!

I enjoyed the dj music, the ambiance, and the friendliness of the staff. They do not have a gardrobe for jackets or motorcycle helmets, I do wish the made this available.

Our bartender Tristan was great. My ole fashioned was so good. He definitely makes one of the best green tea shots I’ve ever had.

Went there for the last hour on a Saturday and the crowd was decent. Apparently their main day is Sunday so I definitely will be back to check that out. The inside was a lot bigger than I was picturing and they have a nice out side

I went to a 🥳 Costume Party 🎉 and had a good time; however, the only negative thing was that the Bouncer would not let me in with my Harley Quinn 🃏 Baseball ⚾ Bat 😯

Really nice venue. Very pleasant atmosphere. The lounge is the best part. Plenty of open area for sitting without needing a reservation. Gives you a cool Vegas vibe.
