Cafe Coffee shop

😐 Was very excited for this place but got disappointed. My cold brew with caramel syrup was not good and had almost no caramel flavor. The “butter croissant” is NOT a croissant. This is just buttery, layered bread. Way to heavy/fatty and no croissant taste. Same with the chocolate “croissant “, which... Vibe- This is a cute coffee shop that’s located in uptown park near the galleria. There’s plenty of seating outside and there’s 4 bar stools along the wall inside to sit. I asked one of the baristas about the story behind the shop and she explained that the owner grew up around NASA (a family meme we worked there) so you’ll see some astronauts around the building. Customer service- Great! Food/drinks- Hot chai tea latte with oat milk, it was delicious. Definitely one of the best chai lattes I’ve had! Parking- There’s plenty of parking spots right by the building and lots around in the lot the shop is located in.

Was very excited for this place but got disappointed. My cold brew with caramel syrup was not good and had almost no caramel flavor. The “butter croissant” is NOT a croissant. This is just buttery, layered bread. Way to heavy/fatty and no croissant taste. Same with the chocolate “croissant “, which doesn’t even have a croissant shape?! I don’t know how it is allowed to call those pastries “croissant”. A Frenchman would turn in his grave. I’m only giving 3 stars because the place looks nice and they were friendly. Even though a couple who ordered after me, were served before. Will avoid and would not recommend

So happy this place is on my way to work! It is a beautiful building with a cool theme. The baristas are always very sweet and helpful. All the drinks I've had have been delicious. There is seating inside and outside for you to work. Love coming here!

It was my first time. It is tinny but cute and delicious. I purchased the plain croissant, ham croissant and almond croissant, they were delicious but cold. Same they don't warm them because warm will be extremely delicious. They have a nice variety of coffee and I love that. They have the golden milk (ginger and turmeric coffee) it is hot and it is delicious. I was looking for a place to try it and I did it :) I recommended. When you order double check if your coffe is hot or ice because the other coffee I order was the milkway and that was ice.... I thought was hot but was ice.... Even ice was very good, strong and sweet coffee, I recommended too if you like strong flavor coffee. They have few chairs inside as a little bar and several tables outside. The weather today was perfect to enjoy breakfast outside. The place is delicious and cute. The staff is very polite and friendly.

Coffe was good as so was the ham and cheese croissant. I will say nothing was special but it wasn't bad at all. It's quite small in there but they do have some outdoor seating. Staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely a nice cute little coffee shop.

Great service and great staff. The second you walk in they make you feel like you are home. Coffee is superb, location is very convenient, love the cute ambiance. One of my favorite third wave coffee places around the galleria every time I am in Houston.

Beautiful quaint coffee shop in the middle of Uptown Park. It’s small in the inside but there is plenty of seating and some are near plugs. There are pink tables outside and umbrellas. I’d def suggest this place for a change of scenery especially if you WFH. I ordered hot tea, it was perfectly prepared. I was a bit surprised that the kombucha bottles were $6. Seems crazy, but inflation I guess. Def check this place out. I also saw vegan and regular food items/pastries.

Great Leap is such a cute little cafe with impressive theming. Their matcha tastes great and the ISS latte has a real depth of flavor (but is pretty sweet). It's located in a large plaza with lots of parking. Indoor seating is very limited as it's a small space. But there's a good amount of outdoor options. Lines also get crowded in the small space, but it's not a big impact to service. This isn't the place to go if you're hoping for a sit down experience with a large crowd. But it still has great drinks, cute vibes, and merch.

One of my favorite spots in the city, great quality coffee. I love the seasonal flavors they use. Every drink i get is always delicately and beautifully balanced. Baristas are always smiling and helpful. 10/10 recommend

Cute coffee shop in uptown. Friendly staff. Small but well crafted menu. Their chai latte is the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a lot! It was a perfect blend of sweet and spice with what tasted like ginger giving an extra kick. Perfect place to spend a sunny, breezy, cool afternoon!

Conveniently located cafe with great coffee. The seasonal coconut latte is fantastic. Seating is a bit limited but it’s pretty well-set-up. Parking is great — can pull right up next to the shop and then be on your way.

I enjoy places that have their own style. This one definitely does. I bought comet creamsicle coffee because I felt adventurous 😂. I still dont know if I like it it’s definitely different. Coffee blend is good so over all a plus.

Came by I’ve been really wanting to try this place. This place is so cute. I love the vibes. I got the Milky Way which I was told (warned) is their strong one. I liked it though, it was the perfect pick me up. It is quite strong. I can’t wait to come back to try their other drinks. They don’t really have seating inside but plenty of tables outside.

Giant Leap Coffee is a great little coffee shop nestled in Uptown Park. They offer coffee roasted by Houston roaster Amaya as well as an assortment of teas and pastries. They also offer a rotating selection of seasonal drinks. Ambience and service: There's ample parking around the coffee shop, a small amount of seating inside with several outlets for those studying, and a good amount of outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is dog friendly! The interior is nice and clean, and the aesthetic is hip and casual. There's merch at the front, a bathroom in the back, and a cool little area with some history about how the coffee shop was founded by a former NASA astronaut (hence the name and space theme throughout). Very cool! The baristas were nice and explained the menu well. There's wifi! Drinks: We ordered a mocha latte and iced Jasmine white tea. The latte had a great balance of espresso, milk, and chocolate -- you could really taste the coffee, you got a great texture from the whole milk, and the chocolate added an extra little sweetness that complemented the espresso well. The tea was refreshing and the flavor was robust (for a Jasmine white tea) even despite the fact that it was iced - not diluted at all. It was calming and fragrant, reminding me of the authentic flavor I've had from some loose leaf Jasmine white tea before. Overall, we were very impressed by the quality of the drinks here and are looking forward to coming back. The prices are also very reasonable compared to many other coffee shops around Houston, making this place even better! Make sure to give this place a try if you need a coffee fix while in the Galleria area.

10:30 So we got ice vanilla latte and ice mocha latte with oat milk, cinnamon roll and jalapeño and cheese scone, didn’t offer to warm it up, the pastries were big and filling but honestly kinda hard to chew and eat 😬. The coffee was good but not something I would drive 23 minutes for. The employees were good. Parking is good. Limited seating inside so you would be most likely sitting outside

Cute little coffee shop in Uptown Park! Clean modern design with large window. Astronaut themed. Limited indoor seating. Spacious and cute outdoor seating area. Too hot for the Texas heat!

Their standard menu is ok. Their seasonal menu is great! Really loved the black sesame latte and parfait-Louie; it made a delicious pick-me-up snack and was served at the perfect temperature. Service was fantastic too. Their outdoor seating was prefect for reading a book and enjoying nice weather. A great little coffee shop; I would definitely go out of my way to come here 😊🚀

This was our first time recommended by our cousin who has been here many times. The best and first impression was the staff! She was very very friendly, welcoming, helpful. The atmosphere is very nice and well plan. I like that that the decorations was all about space theme which match with the Giant Leap! We found out later that the owner used to work in NASA on moon landing project. How cool is that. My sesame latte was great. Perfect combination between coffee and sesame. My husband’s cappuccino was a bit too hot (coffee was made in too hot water temperature which made it a bit over extraction). However, all in all, it was great!
