Toms
is
a
cafe
in
Chinatown
serving
a
variety
of
coffee-
and
tea-based
beverages
along
with
many
savory
options
such
as
pretzels
and
toasts.
They
are
one
of
the
few
places
open
early
(8am)
that
we
could
find
in
the
area.
Pairing
that
with
the
ample
space,
outlets,
and
wi-fi
makes
this
a
great
place
to
study.
At
our
visit,
we
got
the
iced
black
tea
latte
and
bulgogi
pretzel.
The
black
tea
latte
is
refreshing,
sweet,
and
creamy.
The
creamy
and
sweet
milk
is
the
first
flavor
to
coat
your
tongue,
followed
by
a
mildly
bold
black
tea
flavor
that
rounds
out
the
beverage
with
a
nice
medium
body
and
hint
of
acidity
and
minerality.
Tea
lovers
will
want
to
request
for
less
sugar
while
those
who
prefer
a
creamier/sweeter
milk
tea
will
find
this
perfect.
Delicious!
The
bulgogi
pretzel
is
served
steaming
hot,
straight
from
the
oven.
I
could
see
the
employee
assembling
the
pretzel
with
the
cheese,
bulgogi,
and
other
components
in
the
raw
dough,
which
was
a
great
sign
of
freshness.
Aesthetically,
the
pretzel
looks
very
unique
and
there's
a
nice
baked
char
on
the
exterior.
The
bread
from
the
pretzel
has
a
nice
bouncy
and
slightly
crunchy
exterior
as
well
as
a
thin
+
soft
interior
which
holds
the
filling
well.
It
was
slightly
sweet
and
buttery.
Inside,
there's
a
LOT
of
melty-stringy
mozzarella
cheese!
The
bulgogi
is
like
bits
of
ground
beef,
and
they
are
small
but
full
of
mildly
spicy,
mostly
sweet,
and
meaty
flavor
--
nothing
incredibly
delicious
or
complex,
but
yummy.
For
the
dipping
sauce,
we
chose
ranch.
It's
surprisingly
quite
good!
Served
chilled,
it
has
a
very
nice
tang
and
creamy
flavor
which
taste
close
to
actual
buttermilk
and
dill.
The
combination
of
cheese,
bulgogi,
and
pretzel
is
a
great
one,
and
they
actually
pair
with
the
black
tea
latte
very
well.
