We visited Koffeteria randomly and were impressed by their adorable & cozy decor. They serve pastries in various flavors which are infused with different cultures & elements. I was interested in their Mapu Tofu Focaccia but my roommate stopped me from trying. We got Pistachio Croissant and Caramelized Vanilla Cinnamon Queens with 2 cups of Latte. It’s delicious with delicate texture & balanced flavors.

Vibe- This is a nice spot to come to if you want to get some studying done, work done, or just grab a cup of coffee and some bites to eat! There’s a huge space outside with plenty of seating. One of the baristas shared that the owner had a grandma that was the first to own a business in their family and it was a washeteria and that’s where the name Koffeteria came from. Customer service- Great! I was greeted as soon as I walked in. Food/drinks- I got a hot smoked horchata with oatmilk and it was so good, I’d get it again!!! Parking- There’s spot to parallel park right in front of the building and then there’s other street parking around.

Koffeteria is located in the up & coming area of East Village with owner being the 1st generation of Cambodian-American, chef integrated ingredients, unique flavour and Cambodian influence into the pastries. I luv every one of these unique pastries. And I appreciate the chef pushing the limits to use ingredients that aren't typical in our daily pastries but it works! It's nice to open people's minds and taste buds. They were so delightful to indulge. Coupled with the tasty hot beverage, this would be my favourite Sunday Funday spot coz I would just do nothing and just enjoy the sun, listen to calm music and eat and drink. C'est la vie!

Walked 20 minutes in the Houston heat for this while in town on vacation. Worth every drop of sweat! The service was phenomenal, the folks working here are so sweet and charming. The music was *choice* and the place is just adorable, I mean come on. The FOOD This Thai-omelette-croissantwich is genius--crispy fried omelette with the fish sauce--omg. The kolache was wild, I've never had anything like that back home. The purple potato pie babka was so thoughtful and comforting. Everything we tried today was SMART. Some real thought and care went into these dishes. I am a chef visiting from out of town trying to find some good spots to get some inspiration while I'm here and this was my first huge win. If I don't have any more good food while I'm here it'll be alright because I found at least ONE solid joint.

It’s a new find for me ! Different from what I imagined . Recipes are a fusion of combodian And tex mex. The coffees are a limited menu. But excellent. Macchiato was a hit. All the pastries looked and tasted decadent. Outdoor was really good as well with good seating and great outdoor experience. Place has been really busy in the mornings and parking is tricky . Baked feta and French onion pastry was very good. Flavors are really mild . Quiche is a good try but definitely on the pricey side. Coffee and pastry’s are a good choice when here. Will Be back sometime in the evening or night. Lol we got a parking citation BTW ! 😢😢

Came on the weekend and got the salted Cambodian, chai, breakfast twaco, spring roll, and Thai omelet croissantwich. I believe there might be a slight difference between their brunch menu and weekly one, but we unfortunately came about a hr before closing and all the pastries were gone. Would love to come back and try some of them because the fusion creates some very interesting flavors. We've never had Chinese sausage before, so that was definitely interesting to try. The beef pho kolache was delicious with the soaked meat, and the croissantwich was very flavorful too with the fish sauce. The breakfast taco didn't taste any different than a normal one even though it contained taro. Would love to come by and try some of the pastries next time

Koffeteria is a coffee shop located in the East Downtown. They offer a wide variety of unique drinks and pastries. I went on a few occassions and tried a few of their special drinks: Salty Cambodian, Make Ya Halo, and Mazapandan. The Salty Cambodian, which is recommended hot, was one of my favorites. It was slightly salted but not too much and balanced well with bitterness of coffee. My other favorite was the Make Ya Halo. It was a cold brew drink with sweet coconut ube cream, and I really enjoyed the ube cream. It was light and did not taste like artifical ube. As a Vietnamese person, I absolutely love pandan but was a bit disappointed with the drink, as the Mazapandan was very watery with not much of a pandan flavor. They also had various pastries, and there were so many options. It’s always hard choosing which to eat because everything looks intriguing! During the different times I went, I was able to try the ham and cheese croissant, peach brown sugar scone, and lemon coffee cake. The ham and cheese croissant was super crispy and delicious. The peach brown sugar scone was my favorite pastry. It was soft but also crispy around the edges, which I really enjoyed. The peach flavor was very light, and it was also not too sweet. I think it is one of the best scones I’ve had in Houston! The lemon coffee cake is unique from other lemon ones in that it uses preserved lemons. You can really taste it more at the bottom of the cake. It reminds me of Vietnamese chanh muối. The crumbs on top made the coffee cake crispy and was my favorite part, but the rest of the coffee cake was a bit too dry for me. The inside is kind of small. There isn’t much parking, and you kind of have to parallel park around the area. However, the staff is super nice and helpful when I visit in the mornings. Overall, I think their classic drinks and pastries are very unique and special, and I really enjoy everything they have to offer. You can definitely tell that the pastries were made well and with lots of creativity.

Great coffee. I had a smoked horchata iced latte with oat milk and it was delicious. Not much seating inside but they have a huge patio at the back. Everyone was friendly and they have a good amount of pastries. I went early morning so parking was no issue for me at that time. Clean place and good coffee.

Cute overall coffee shop. I ordered a lavender oat milk latte which is my go to masculine drink. It was good but not amazing. Normally the oat milk gives a great creamy froth and this one seemed watered down. It’s got a great outdoor seating area which is special. They also have some baked goods which looked good but I didn’t try them so I can’t review that.

Nina🐶 and I approve! We stopped for a quick bite and coffee on the dog friendly (and huge) pati. I was amazed by the originality of their drinks and pastries. I had a lavender latte and a pecan pie croissant, both melt-in-your-mouth good. I will definitely come back to try their more eccentric drinks.. specifically the mazapán iced coffee caught my eye👀. We were originally going to a Starbucks but now we are glad that it was closed! This was a pleasant surprise.

Cute spot ! I enjoyed my iced espresso . I got a butter croissant. It was okay . On the dry side . Also got the pistachio treat , it was super sweet , saturated in syrup . Tasty ! Just a lot..

Cool place with good food and good drinks that offer caffeine! The tiger punch was awesome. Both the croissant-witch and the kolache were Thai flavored and super good. It is a little bit pricy but quality is 100% there. I would probably not recommend a kolache though as it’s kinda just a bread boat for the stuffing as opposed to stuffed bread kolache. However, the bread and the stuffing were great. I will be back for sure. Cool outdoor area to enjoy what you get as well

Ermahgerd! If you want your tastebuds to go on an adventure where they haven’t been before, need to come here. I can honestly say I have never experienced this fusion of flavors before. Very unique and delightful taste. The workers were also so sweet and nice. 10 out of 10 would come back again.

This is one of the best cafe’s I’ve been to. I have nothing but great things to say all around. I loved the coffee, the fresh pastries, the brunch food. The staff are friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is relaxing with a variety of places to sit and relax both indoor and outdoor. I wish I lived closer so I could come here every week.

Must-Visit Houston Coffeeshop! Beautiful space with lovely ambiance. The location has plenty of counter seating and outdoor seating. The barista was friendly and kind, as well as very patient, helping me pick items and giving recommendations. I got one of their specialty drinks iced, as well as 4 of the baked goods. Everything was amazing! The ham and cheese croissant was flaky, soft, and a little spicy. The blubbery and yuzu roll was soft and flavorful, you couldn’t taste the yuzu much but it was delicious. The baklava croissant was sweet and delicious. The rose and guava danish was fruity and soft, and so incredibly good. Of these, I particularly recommend the ham and cheese croissant and rose and guava danish! The latte was beautiful as well, and very sweet! I found it delicious but do not recommend for anyone that doesn’t have a strong sweet tooth :) A wonderful spot for some incredibly delicious and innovative pastries and coffee. Highly recommended.

Great staff! Everyone was extremely friendly, professional, and kind. Felt instantly welcome upon entering and interacting. Huge outdoor seating area but mostly bar seating inside. Parking can be tough if you come after 11AM. Prices were expensive for the portion sizes of food, but they tasted excellent. The egg on the BBQ chicken was delicious and I’ve never tried pickled watermelon before but it was amazing. My personal take is that their ube coffee was better than the pandan coffee. The Cambodian coffee was great if you’re a fan of hot drinks! Pastries are out of this world!! Broad selection and baked to perfection.

The food is so so good! From the pastries to the lunch - and even the coffee! I just wish there was more space because the weekend can get really crowded, and there is very limited parking. Other then that it is a must try for foodies!

This cafe is by far the cutest and most unique place I’ve eaten at in a long time. I love the fusion of Asian ingredients and flavors in ways you would never expect. It was truly a delightful experience. The tres leches croissant & salty Cambodian were divine, along with all the other tasty dishes we ordered. Staff was friendly and took care of everything we needed. I definitely will be revisiting this hidden gym.

Love love love this place!! Coffee is amazing and their eats are sooo damn good. Their cinnamon roll isn’t like a traditional roll, it’s so much better! Warmed up with a cup of coffee, perfection! Definitely can’t wait to swing by again soon! The staff is always friendly and helpful!

Outstanding coffees, standard and eclectic baked goods, breakfast items, and dog friendly patio. Unfortunately my Thai omelette croissanwich was not a croissant but still a very nice bread. Salty Cambodian is a good drink.

Very cute little coffee shop on the east side. Freshly baked goods (blueberry feta pastry was amazing). My iced tea was delicious and the staff was friendly. Make sure you get there early to ensure the best pick from the pastry case! Will definitely be back :)
