I needed to get my wedding rings resized. I didn't want to use one of the big jewelers because they take forever and I like to support small businesses in my area. I called to get a quote. Size up 3 sizes in white gold, the owner said it would take about a day. Great. I get there to give them my rings and it's a week. I paid and left my rings with them. I called the day before I was to pick up my rings to make sure they were ready. He hadn't touched them. He told me he would have them ready the next morning. I went by the next afternoon and he still haven't touch them. He said they would be ready the next day. I went to the shop the next day to pick them up. The lighting in the store isn't the best and I was in a rush because I was on my lunch break. I should have taken pictures of the way they gave it back to me. Yellow, not round at all, it looked horrible. I called and he told me to bring it back. They're closed on Mondays so I went on Tuesday, they were closed. I give them back on Wednesday and the wife can't believe they did this work. They take it back and tell me to come back the next day. I went by today to pick up my rings. They look better but they have cuts in the metal where he resized them. I showed him the cuts and they said it was like that. How could it have been like that if you added material to them to make them bigger? Then he started inspecting the band in other area that he didn't work on say it was dented here, scratched there. Okay, I never said my bands were perfect. I didn't pick random placed at the top of the band and say they damaged them. There are cuts in the metal were he worked. All they wanted to do was argue so I just took my rings as is. I'm very disappointed. They seem like a lovely couple, but my experience was just horrible. Now I have to pay someone else to fix my rings they messed up.

Of course I recommend Bob/Robert! I have known him for almost 15 years. My girls were really young when we met him and they called him "Bob the Builder". Bob created two beautiful gold rings for me around my 10th wedding anniversary (2003). He also partnered with an appraiser to help us value our family jewelry for insurance purposes (in 2011). I often stop by just to see him and say "hello" over the years. He continues to help me polish the jewelry I wear everyday and he is creating a new piece for me as we speak! He is lovely to talk to so I often overstay my welcome. Today I was there for an hour! :) Go see "Your Jeweler"... Bob is the only one you will never need.

The owner and his wife are very nice to deal with. Robert creates custom jewelry and can make pieces from design photos as well. In addition to sells he does repair work. They also buy gold and do appraisals.

I've been coming to this jewelry for quite a few years now and I have been very pleased with the work done. I've had my wedding ring stones rearranged as well as new diamonds set on my earrings. My mother would had her watch's batteries replaced here as well. Over all the owners are very pleasant individuals. Jewelry is an art and can not be rushed, some pieces take a little longer but we all want quality work not rushed to compromise art and quality.

Bob is amazing! I took him my father wedding ring and asked him to make me three little hearts, on one side he put each daughters Initials, and on the other side their favorite nickname for my dad. The hearts and the chains I purchased from him were wonderful. My daughters cherish the necklace that they have and will always have a piece of my dad with them. He was extremely fair priced. Not one other jeweler would do this for me so I am grateful for Bob. I bring all my jewelry to him for repairs, resizing, battery watches and I only buy from him. I see a lot of post about how long it takes Bob to complete something well I will say this - maybe I have waited awhile for him but his work and price make the wait well worth the wait. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Bob is truly a gifted jeweler, his customer service and knowledge is outstanding. He made a custom wedding ring set for me and went above and beyond. I would hands down recommend this place to everyone. He kept me updated throughout the entire process thank you Bob!

We arrived looking for a wedding ring for my future son-in-law to give to my daughter. There wasn't a huge selection like at the chain jewelry stores, but that made it easier for us. We didn't feel like he was trying to sell us something we didn't want, but instead he patiently showed us everything we were interested in and let us discuss each ring as long as we liked. We ended up with a beautiful vintage ring just like my daughter likes. It is hard to find a hometown jeweler anymore, but this is it!

If you're looking to buy a new piece, this place might be a great choice. They have very nice items and warm, friendly service. For that reason, I didn't give a 1-star rating. Unfortunately for repairs, I can't recommend it. We took my wife's wedding set in to have an accent stone replaced, resize it to a smaller size, and make sure the prongs on all stones were secure. First, we had multiple delays, including one that occurred because the stone that had just been replaced popped out while the ring was being polished! That didn't inspire confidence in the quality of work. When we finally did get to come and pick it up, there were several rough edges where the prongs had been "reinforced" and it was visibly evident that they'd been altered. Also, the 2 bands that were resized had a specific contour, with the second band having been custom-made to fit perfectly against the main ring. Ever since they were resized, they "kind of" fit together, but not like the flawless custom pieces they once were. Worst of all, within 6-7 months, the stone that was replaced fell out, and we finally just took the set to another jeweler. They fixed it perfectly, smoothed out all the rough spots, and completed the work in far less time. It's unfortunate that we had to pay again for work that had already been "done", but I'd rather pay twice than have to go back and still not have it fixed correctly. I hate to say this, but it's possible this very nice gentleman may simply no longer have the precision he once had. In any case, we've found another jeweler we trust more, and sadly won't be coming back here.

We purchased my wedding ring (and a few other pieces from here since). Mr. and Mrs. Kirkwood are so sweet and they’re prices are very reasonable. We consider him as our regular jeweler and we never go anywhere else.

My fiancé got my ring from the Kirkwoods and I have since brought it in twice for resizing and a repair. Wonderful service and lovely people! I needed a small stone replaced and Robert also noticed my main stone rocking a bit and fixed it! He also got it done extra quickly for me because we have engagement pictures coming up. Highly recommend!

I went by at 1:00 p.m. and store was closed even though it is stated on their door that hours are until 2:00 p.m. I can't comment on their work but would suggest calling ahead to make sure they are open. It seems that this same issue has been commented on before in other reviews.
