Honey Run park and Waterfall are both very nice for a family adventure in the woods. The walk from the parking lot to the falls is short and not very difficult. Most of the path is mulched and shaded. There are steps near the falls to take you to another pathway to walk over towards the river. When we visited, there was a decent amount of people there, so it was a little difficult to get good pictures of the falls and it was difficult to social distance. The trails usually have a spot you can step off to and let people walk by. There are a lot of rocks/boulders in the area and a lot of trails people have created. If you are interested in some climbing then you will enjoy being over by the river more than you would enjoy the falls. If you are a young family, I wouldn’t bother with a stroller, bring a backpack carrier.

Nice little park. Short walk on partially paved path. Pretty accessible for most all folks. You can hear the falls upon entry and enjoy the sound while you relax on the benches.

Very nice little park for a short walk to the fall and the river. There are some interesting rock scriptures by the river.

One of our favorite parks to visit. This place is very fairytail like. Great place to go just after or during a rain. There is a wonderful river, and a stunning waterfall. A must visit location! For more locations follow @cheesecrackersandwine on Instagram!

Loved the falls and they're just a short walk from the parking lot. We got there late, but hope to go back and do some exploring on the trails. Took one trail out to the rocky river bank and had some great views of the river. Will definitely go back.

Beautiful falls, not a difficult walk if you are fairly fit. Rocks weren't slippery which was surprising. Be prepared for any kids you bring to get pretty wet and pack a towel and a change of clothes.

Love this place. The waterfall area is generally pretty busy but worth it for the view. Trail is grassy and well kept. Didn't see any other hikers during my entire time on the trails. Pretty decent inclines at places, so maybe not the best for everyone.

So much fun. It was EXTRA hot and the walk into the fall was at least 15 degrees cooler so refreshing.

A beautiful like spot! Nice trails and a week maintained park plus a very picturesque waterfall (the water was pretty low when i visited but it was still beautiful). There wasn't anyone there when i went so i was able to hang out and watch the water in peace for some time. Absolutely worth a little traveling to check out

This is one of the most scenic spots in Knox County, Ohio. According to the Knox County Parks District, "the Honey Run Waterfall site contains a rare plant community (disjunct, boreal habitat) and unique views of the Blackhand sandstone, formed some 350 million years ago. The falls are about 25 feet high. You can climb up the rocks and swim in the basin below the falls. About a .2 mile walk from the parking lot.

Nice little park. Parking is across the street from the falls. Easy trail that is partially paved, the falls are right at the entrance. We had lunch on the rocks and listened to the falls before walking the short trail- super easy and beginner trail especially if you have young kids. No hills. The trail takes you to the Kokosing River but it's a no swim point There is a longer trail across the street from the falls right off the parking lot but I have yet to try that one.

Had a lot of fun in nature's playground. I bet this is amazing in the Spring when there's a lot of rain.

very beautiful! adventurous but not too difficult! There’s people there but it isn’t crowded and still feels like a hidden gem.
