I can't say enough good things about this place. It's a little hidden away from everything making it a quieter place to sit and relax for a bit. We tried a bit of everything on the menu. We got the lavender latte and cinnamon cappuccinos which were beautiful in presentation and very delicious. We also got the pancakes with fruit, beans on toast, avocado toast, an omelette, and the mushroom brioche. Everything was delicious and you could tell that every person there was very proud of their work and food. The vibes are immaculate as well.

This cafe is located inside Chowringhee Mansion, without any boards outside, but still easy to locate. The owners are very friendly and food extremely delicious and thoughtfully curated. We had the Iced Lemon Americano which was refreshing and the Chef's Chicken Sandwich. The filling of the sandwich was creamy and served with a small serving of lettuce salad. We worked here for an hour and then left. The crowd and music was very chill. We had to pay 50 rupees extra for using the wifi. The food is not cheap but the taste is delicious.

To save us from the heat in Kolkata we looked for a nice and refreshing place to spend our day. Than we found the Motherland Cafe. We felt directly at home. The ambience was very nice. The people very friendly and didn't made us rush to place the order. The first thing was a nice chat and the offer to turn on the AC. Then we tried the Kombucha - 350β‚Ή. It's really tasty and refreshing in hot times. We were so happy to saw this nice menu. We had: Brooklyn Sub - Bar-B-Que Veggies 400 β‚Ή Brussels Delight - (Creamy Polenta cooked with Asparagus and Truffle - served with other really tasty ingredients 620 β‚Ή Both really really tasty. And at the end we also enjoyed the Cheesecake of the Day - 320 β‚Ή Also very positive was that the whole restaurant is very clean. Everyone seems to really take care, that everything is hygienic. Thanks for the nice day at your place. See you soon!

Healthy food. Good value. The cafe is located in a beautiful old colonial building. Most importantly, the people behind Motherland Cafe are kind and very engaging. They would chat, and are genuinely interested in giving their guests good food and a good time. It feels as if you’ve walked into a cafe being managed by your friends. A gem in the city of Joy. One of the very few health conscious cafes in the city.

Beautifully nestled amidst old red brick buildings, this cafe is quite breathtaking. The food was really yumm and coffee was goooood! The team running the place was also courteous and helpful. Prices are slightly on the higher side which took us by surprise but the vibes of the place and the coffee made up for it.

You are welcomed... you are greeted and you are served with kindness. The location is situated just the first left before you take into park street. This is a studio Cafe, the ambience gives you a cozy feel suitable for friends, family and anyone working with a cup of coffee. We ordered their in-house coffee and it was such a subtle black coffee with flavor inside. The king's Bagel was absolutely perfect and presented in its original form. Sit back and relax. Recommend for all age group. N.B - Non Smoking Cafe. Cash and card accepted. In house product sale available

Visited this place recently, the ambience and vibe of this place is just awesome. The only thing that we didn't like was the taste of kombucha (orange vanilla). I don't know if it is meant to taste like that or not, but the one that we ordered tasted really bad. Apart from that everything was just awesome. Iced salted caramel Latte is a must try

The atmosphere and ambience of the cafe is great, foods and drinks are good. We ordered a Pasta Alfredo, that's delicious!! Coffee is excellent. Services are too good, staffs are well behaved, they care about the guest. It's a hidden gem in Kolkata.

I ordered Chicken Pesto Sandwich and Lemon Ricotta pie on a Sunday evening. The sandwich arrived first which had hair in it, when I informed them they changed it though. The sandwich tasted good but the hair in the food was a big turn off in the first place. Secondly the ricotta pie was extremely dry and tasted stale, it was not at all fresh. Didn’t feel like a specialty dish, more like an average dry dessert which lacked the buttery texture of a pie. The cold coffee was average. The only good thing about the cafe is the aesthetic aspect of greenery. Apart from that I don’t see why one would visit this place. I won’t recommend this place to anyone.

The place is really aesthetic and ancient. Ambiance is really quiet and calm, not like other posh restaurants. I have ordered Shroom Brioche and Japanese egg sando. Brioche was mouth watering,I will recommend it highly and the egg sando was average. However, I would like to visit again and try another food sometimes.

Very calming and soothing atmosphere inside the cafe. Literally away from all the city noise. Although we missed out on the pizza yet the cafe suggested to go for fetucchini which was super tasty and Mount Olympus was magnificent with all the spices cooked the way it should have been. It was super tasty. <3 Prices are indeed in the higher side but considering the ambience and food quality, it's not that bad a deal, I guess. Also, the cafe owner, I suppose was very hospitable and welcoming.

Absolutely loveD this place! We tried the crepe, the bagel, and lavender latte and all three were absolutely amazing. They have a great selection of desserts and the vibe of the place is amazing. They have a great co-working space as well and it seems like the best place for artists like me to come and paint/sketch. Loved it! Will def visit again. Might even make it a weekly routine!

Unique and Totally from the Heart. The Best restaurant in town.... they make their own pastas - sauces and grow a lot of the ingredients they use. This restaurant will remind you of those quaint cafes in lanes of Paris or Rome - the food - ambience and people are exceptional - Iconic place in the making.

Good ambience. Service was average, staff were very good. I found it to be a bit overpriced. The chicken I ordered seemed to be overcooked. Although I'd go back there and explore more. I'd recommend others to check this new place as well.

The gluten free pancakes were one of the best I’ve tried in Calcutta! Very calming ambience and extremely welcoming staff. Can’t wait to go back and try other dishes! Truly happy to have found this cafe with so many gluten free options.

Well, it's best to go where you are comfortable with, and again I've found that to be true. Found this cafe and it has that boho feel, but boohoo, I wasn't a fan The cappuccino was served in a glass and it was ok, nothing special. The cheesecake was ok, again nothing special. There was no view out of the windows as the cafe faced a small courtyard used as a car park. I'm better off going to Flurys. It's on the main road facing people and Park St. The prices were similar and so next time rather than going to a "trendy" cafe, I'll go where I feel comfy and their menu is what I like. Sorry πŸ₯Ί

Lovely, modern cafe serving modern Italian / fusion dishes, and great breakfasts. When I had lunch here I was impressed by their tomato sauce, which easily beats many I had in Rome - rich in flavour, hot just the right amount, absolutely smashing. I would say anything with that sauce on will be worth the price. Admittedly a bit more costly than the average cafe in the area, it is totally worth it if you're craving for something different - or if you just want to sit down and relax in a friendly, quiet spot. It is generally not busy, and staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Totally recommend!

Perfect space to sit and relax with yourself or your loved ones. Great taste served with great music and a very friendly owner. Though no signboards, you can locate the cafe easily. Parking is a major issue though! And yes.. if you are crazy hungry, this won't be the exact place you'll prefer to visit. Quality food is served here in measured quantity!

Located in Kyd Street (Park Street Area). Cpmpared to similar cafΓ© place is bit over priced πŸ₯², but the food quality is good. Tried pollo hotpot, a nice combination of veggies and chicken! 🀩 The place hosts conference 🀝 and co-working office 🏀 space (different rates πŸ’² available as per requirement), so you may expect some πŸ‘₯ hustle and bustle. Staffs πŸ‘¨β€πŸ’ΌπŸ‘©β€πŸ’Ό are well behaved and polite, and they know their job and food decorations are πŸ‘Œ awesome!

Service charge despite the DIY culture of having no servers, no parking, limited menu, no sign on entrance to guide you inside and small portion size with high prices . But the ambience is good.

Very few cafes in Kolkata are as memorable as this one. The ambiance, the design, the members really know their place and how to run it. Loved the food. Special mention are the cheesecake and chef's special pancake. Prateek and Esha were a great host, they have worked hard behind it and the efforts are reflected in the cafe. Very few cafes actually makes you feel the memories and this is one of them.

I had a horrible experience with the owner of this place. He is sweet and polite as long as you are saying nice things about his cafe. Although my bad experience was not related to food. We were a group of 7 and the food is overpriced for the taste and quality. Their desserts are just plain BAD. Tea cake was dry, the cheesecake was hard, bomboloni was just low standard bread with a cheap cream on top. The server was really nice though, but the owner's behaviour just ruined the whole experience for all of us.

One of the new places in the city already drowning in Cafes at every nook and corner, Motherland cafe finds its flair in a warm environment, great hosts and some of the best curated food I have had in a while. Lobster Fettuccine, Home brewed Ginger Ale and The Lamb Meatball sub were simply amazing. I would highly recommend this place.

The Vibe. But it’s really also the food and the team behind always warm welcoming. You can work from here too. I sometimes just come sip my Cortado and work all day. The egg dishes are a knock out. But my favorite is the tortellini.
