In fact, the real house where Eliza Ozheshko lived stood closer to the road. This building was built later. Inside there is a small museum with original furniture and a fireplace. I recommend stopping by! There is also a library here.

My son and I decided to go to the house-museum. The cost is small. For two people less than 5 rubles. Two small rooms are given over to the museum. There is also a library here. The museum is cozy. An excellent opportunity to view E. Orzeshko’s personal belongings. I like it. I recommend visiting. The museum is located opposite the famous building of the Gr. University, which is entirely entwined with girlish grapes.

The house-museum of Eliza Ozheshka is an architectural monument that is an exact copy of the house of the famous writer. She lived there after moving to Grodno in 1894 until her death in May 1910. In 1976, the outdated building was dismantled, and its copy was built nearby, further from the road. The building underwent another reconstruction in 2009. The rooms in which Eliza Azheshka lived and worked were recreated based on old photographs. Some of the original interior items, furniture and books of the writer have been preserved.

The building itself is not the real house of E. Azheshko, since it was built to replace an old house, but the interior of the workroom has been preserved exactly during the writer’s life. Together with the museum, there is a library in the house with very pleasant staff.

В этом весь смак, этого замечательного города. Ты идёшь, а кругом маленькие невысокие домики, усадебки с деревянными окнами, дверями и крыльцом. И это в центре города. Очень уютно и мило
