Great place with a LOT of soviet monuments and history. Walking around makes you feel like you're in USSR. Park has a lot of animals (zoo), and some of them were very hard to watch. For example, Bear was in a small cage, etc. The same goes for birds, kangaroos, and other animals. It's unpleasant to watch these animals.

Great they saved the old Communist statues in Lithuania for history. Wasnt so exited about the animals in the park and their conditions. I think they should focus on the history and sell the animals. Still, worth the visit.

The soviet statue park is realy nice. The ZOO part is horrible, the animals kept in terrible condition. My heart is broken for that poor bear, monkeys and most of them that suffer for tourists entertainment. There is a no dog sign but if you pay 4 euros more lady lets you in with a dog.

For only 10 euros, we have access to a beautiful, closed open-air museum, tightly surrounded by a fence and watchtowers, from which you can hear characteristic propaganda slogans. The park's paths lead first from the monument to the monument, and finally to a museum filled with propaganda and busts of Lenin and a library. Along the way, you can wave to political prisoners in the form of llamas, kangaroos and many other animals. A friendly place for parents with children and couples! I highly recommend!

A park with reminders of seriously dark times for Lithuania. Walking through the path of history, where dictatorship ideas were portrayed as idealistic is somewhat surreal. Unique place with interesting energy. It’s worth a visit, it may not be the most joyous one though

The historical part of the park is very interesting but the zoo is just unethical and cruel. Animals are put in tiny cages without a proper place for them to hang out. there were three monkeys put together in the tiniest cage I think I have ever seen. It is just a sad image to look at. I am a bit shocked that zoo’s like that are even allowed to operate in the EU. The animals look unwell both mentally and physically. Also I don’t see the connection between soviet sculptures and animals on a display. If you care for animal well-being even a tiny bit, please don’t support this park with your money, it is just not worth it.

Entry is €10 which is a little too much in my opinion. Audioguide is another €10 (there is a LOT of stops). The animals are cute but some of them have quite tiny living space (hens and roosters, geese, owls). If you're not Lithuanian or Latvian you probably won't appreciate all of the statues.

Very interesting and informative museum of Soviet Union regime. Very funny, useful and interesting souvenirs. Fabulous cafe bar, so beautiful interior and amazingly delicious food. Thank you for the good day that I've spent there..

We would have given this place 5 stars but unfortunately they decided to torture animals inside. Why they have decided to make this beautiful place into a zoo is beyond me. We where there during a very hot day in August (almost 35 degrees). There where several animals suffering, among them a lonely brown bear in a way too small cage. The history is amazing here but I would never have entered having the knowledge about the animals suffering, treating animals like this should be illegal and this place should be shut down.

This could be a very informative museum but unfortunately missed the chance to provide proper information for the visitor. Instead they installed a zoo where poor animals like eagle bear and so on are cooped up in far too small cages. If I had known that before I wouldn't have supported it with ten euros entrance fee which neither the zoo nor the exhibition is worth it. No recommendation!

Even in winter this park makes an impression. You can really feel how it was way back to soviet union era. Collection of books, monuments and installations. You can try authentic food as well. There are lots of animals and play garden for kids.

Great place. For my surprise, it is not only a huge park which contains many Soviet Union sculptures, paintings, parts of the buildings and etc. but also has a huge zoo on its territory. Really enjoyed visiting it, we spent two hours here which seemed to be just like few minutes. Enjoyed visiting gallery of Soviet paintings, walking around the park with great nature. Would definitely recommend going there

Fascinating to learn in which squares these statues stood in the past. Nice collection of propaganda materials, as well. I did not understand what the zoo was about, it doesn't fit rest of the concept. Difficult to reach without a car and a bit expensive entrance fee.

Set off the main road, a great place to stop. A mixture of monuments and historical items. An intriguing strange place.

There are two separate attractions there - communism artefacts and pretty big zoo.

Definitely worth the trip to get a glimpse of sovjet times... but also know that it's partly a zoo. I believe the animals here are well fed and taken care of, but some of the cages are quite small and too close to the public of who you won't know if they will treat the animals in a respectful way.

Great place to feel Soviet atmosphere. Lots of sculptures and history artifacts. You can buy Soviet souvenirs inside. What surprised me was that big part of the park is zoo. Zoo is really good, lot of versatile animals. Recommend!

Weird association of elements but very interesting for people who haven’t lived through the communist years and a melancholic trip to the youth of those who have.

Very interesting place if you want to know about the country during soviet times. They have a large expedition of statues and items. Nice for children as well as there is a large playground and animals in the park. We been to the park the second time now and were pretty excited about it. Please be aware that the restaurant and some other houses on site are closed during autumn. The expedition is still open and it is not crowdy during these times. Totally worth a visit. Someone should just give the bear a bit more space, he was in the small shelter most of the day.
