This is another very local restaurant, under a building, in an open space. (No AC) It is a very popular place, and closes relatively early, around 7:30 PM. However, they are open around 6 AM, for breakfast. All the food we ordered were delicious, but many of them were very spicy, even for my Thai friends. We arrived about an hour before closing, but they started to close down some parts of the restaurant while we were still eating, and felt very rushed to eat. Definitely get there at least two hours prior to closing, and you should be able to enjoy a good relaxing meal there

Came here for breakfast and it was so busy and so fun! You order food from any of the carts surrounding the restaurant (or, someone will take your order and shout over to the carts). Food comes quick, cold drink, what more do you need? Got some simple chicken fried rice and it was a huge portion. I’m told that the place has a long line for dinner. Two thumbs up!

This restaurant is set in an old teak building on a busy street corner. It took me a few tries to be able to eat here, as it's very popular in the evening. Best to show up right around 17:00 to get a table. Good selection of dishes, mostly seafood. Prices range from 120 to over 300 thb. I ordered tom yam with mixed seafood. Food was served quickly, despite how busy they were at the time. Perhaps one of the tastiest bowls of tom yam I've ever eaten. Beware, it's very spicy! Generous portion loaded with shrimp, squid, and fish. Total price for soup and a bottle of soda water was 175 thb. I can't comment on other dishes, but this soup was delicious and worth the price. Note that due to the busy street, and the busy nature of tbis restaurant, it's very noisy. Old folks like me, prepare to turn off your hearing aid!

I heard this restaurant is very famous. I know why now. All the foods are so delicious and the prices are also fair. I see many other guests also enjoy the food. However, business hours for the restaurant are a bit strange. I visited 12:20 pm, they said it's closed so I had to come back again for dinner.

Great atmosphere, local Vibe with variety choices of food. If you are first or second time in town, recommend to try it here. The place is busy, so prepare your expectation. The drinks are good. I like it, not too sweet. I got there 10 a.m. and they already ran out of porridge rice with minced pork (โจ๊ก). My favourite dish here and I find it really good is the pork blood soup (ต้มเลือดหมู) with rice. Just adding in a little bit of chili vinegar sauce and that's it, taste really good. Everything in the bowl is good quality. Pork Satay is a bit disappointed. The pork is dry and peanut sauce is a bit bland, not enough spice kick . Steamed rice topped with chicken (ข้าวมันไก่). I like the chili salted soy bean sauce but the whole dish is a bit dry. However, chicken is not too dry. Overall is not too bad. Fish Wontons served with chili salted soybean sauce. The fish Wontons are not too bad but the way they cooked is a bit boring, not exciting at all unlike other places that I tried before for simple dish. You can see it in the photo. But mixing the whole dish with the chili salted soybean sauce, helping the dish is just not bad. So far, the sauce is good. If you stay in the area, it is a nice place to come for a change and if you are not in a hurry to wait in the que to get a table.

This is a place I've been meaning to get to as it always has a line once they finally open Only open from 5-8 but don't count on that I showed up at 7:15 last night and was turned away now I got here @4:30 and they say sit and wait for five o'clock if ya want. It's a first come thing at 4:55 they seated me and are working their way through the rest of the people who showed up since I was the first at 4:27. In the end it all worked out food was excellent asian preparation very subtle. Be warned the crab still has the chewy bit in the middle and they cut it up small.

Best Thai food I ever had in the last few days. Portion given is very generous and prices are reasonable. Watch out the operation hour, best reach before 5pm for dinner. Soon after long queue will be formed.

Food nice not fantastic. Some people overrated. It just they closed early at 8.30pm. Last customer is 7.30pm. That tempted many people to come. Smart owner. Anyway the food overall is good. But not must eat. Ordinary taste. Ordered their famous Sukiyaki hotpot a bit sweet for me.

Best restaurant we've been to in Hua Hin. Delicious seafood, gambas, sea bass, and very good chicken and vegetable dishes with sweet and sour sauce and cashew nuts. Highly recommended. Opens at around 5 pm and there is a line immediately. We arrived at 5:30 and had to wait 30 minutes. You can order while waiting and food arrives quickly. Enough staff to handle the crowd but you have to fight for attention - as usual in Thailand in our experience.

🍚Great, delicious joke (โจ๊ก = Thai rice porridge)! 🤤 But come early (ideally before 8am), because the joke sells out quickly, and many of the other dishes are really good, but not truly great :) By default, the joke comes with pork balls, ginger, chopped spring onions, and you can also get it with a (very) soft boiled egg dropped into the hot porridge (which I always request). 🍵The Thai ice tea, and other iced drinks here are yummy, but they definitely fall more into the "dessert" category than the "drink" category. Plenty of sugar. Either embrace and enjoy the sugar abundance, or abstain :) One of my favorite things here apart from the rice porridge is the friendly, homely atmosphere, even though the place is always packed and full of people, both locals and tourists. Anytime I'm in Hua Hin, I try to grab a nice โจ๊ก breakfast at this place at least once.

Good food, we had breakfast here. Ordered Chicken rice, Seafood ride porridge, and side dish fried fish ball + pig ball total of 276 Baht. It's is not expensive and if you have a car you can park at the nearby temple 20B.

Not only was the food great, the service was wonderful. My only complaint is the crab omelette had some bits we had to pick out. We did have to wait a bit but it was worth it. Also a short walk away from big resorts and right opposite one of the night markets. Note the short operating hours though

Heaven for breakfast- get yourself a Cafe Boran and start ordering from the half a dozen or so of the finest street food vendors parked around the periphery. Kow Man Gai✅ Yen Ta Fo✅ Goyteow Kia Gai✅ Tom Lerd Moo✅ Low Tom✅ I am struggling to think of anything better….

Become my favourite restaurant at Huahin. The locals are really recommended. Every dishes are incredible (very tasty). And don't miss to order thai hot pot (Jimjum) and stir fried herbal vegetables with scallop here.

Delicious food here, service was great, and food came out quick. We have ordered - Crab Fried Rice (middle size, which should be enough for 3-4 people) - Pork Satay - Prawn Dumplings and - Stir-fried Fish with celery All food is delicious but if you need to order only few dishes, we recommend Pork Satay and Prawn Dumplings. Note: recommended to go early as the restaurant close at 7.15 pm and there will be a long queue.

We spent 4 days in Hua Hin and came to Jek Piek 3 times. 2 dinners and 1 breakfast. I left another review for our first dinner there. I am writing about the breakfast we had there. We ordered 2 bowls of Thai noodles both were authentic and just the right amount for breakfast. We also had a bowl of congee recommended by the boss lady there. Consistency of the congee was great and very tasty - not just plain rice soup. 😋

Best dinner in Hua Hin! The chaotic atmosphere just made the dinning experience fun. It seems to be a queue every evening. We had dinner twice in as many days. Hotpot is a must! The shrimps they served is huge. The other amazing dish is the shrimp dumplings. So are the Thai omelette, chicken wings and scallops…

I had the pork hot pot and the soft shell crab curry, both incredibly delicious. As the others have mentioned you should get here early 550-6 because they fill up fast. The food is worth the wait though.

Very impressive food and service. The fried fish is amazing, skin is salty and crispy and meat is so soft and fresh. Hotpot taste good too. Love it so much!! Heard morning session is way better. Shame that it closes too early..

The star of this restaurant’s dinner service (in the day the menu is different) is their claypot hotpot. Closest comparison I can come up with is Sukiyaki in a claypot. You can either choose pork or seafood or mixed, like I did. The portion was big enough for three even though we were told it’s for two. Large chunk a of pork with squid, prawns and vegetables. After boiling, you simply fish them out of the claypot and dip into the ubiquitous Thai seafood chilli sauce. Very nice. But the dish that stole our hearts was their crabmeat omelette. The omelette was crispy at the edges, stuffed with crab meat. As it was served, the fragrance of egg and seafood comes at you and you can’t wait to dig in. Our third dish was based on recommendations from a lot of Chinese customers - Glass noodles with shrimps. Whilst the shrimps were fresh, the glass noodles was mediocre, stir fried with ketchup. The bill was Baht 605 including two fresh coconuts and a coke. Very affordable dinner. Be ready to queue if you come after 6 and please note that for dinner service, they open at 5.30pm and close at 7.30pm.

Small Chinese Thai food court. By morning, there's several small stores serving many local breakfast dishes such as chicken rice, seafood noodles and many others. Food is really fresh and tasty. Queues form but are quick.

Huge portions and nice taste. I ve been told the rice was a Mid portion but it was easily a 3 person size. Also the son yam soup, full of fish.

Everything was very delicious and the portions were big. The queue might look intimidating, but the overall wait time wasn’t that bad, as the restaurant staff were very efficient. They took our orders while we were waiting in line and food was served soon after we were seated. Don’t forget to drink the soup from the pot 😋

Excellent Thai seafood cooked in traditional style with Chinese influence. There are always long lines of locals there waiting in line at dinner time. Don’t be put off by it as it’s worth the wait. Best resturant we’ve been to in Hua Hin. Just a short walk away from the night market. The fish is excellent!

  • 5/5 Terence H. 5 years ago on Google
If there is only one place you are allowed to eat here in Hua Hin it has to be here. Try everything! I did and none did disappoint. The pork noodle tom yum soup though was a little on the sour side. Must trys' are the fried fish balls, they are so so good. There might be a crowd if you were to arrive anytime before 1030 in the morning. The lovely lady there understands English quite well, so ordering is not a problem, otherwise you can always point as they have a menu in English too. The food was so good we went back the next day again!

pretty much a solid Thai restaurant, many option, solid coffee, solid food. Usually a bit of a wait but other than that it is a great. Would go back and recommend for anyone. Lastly, there is enough English to order in English.

We mistook this restaurant for Koti Restaurant Hua Hin which was further down. Nonetheless, this served great local cuisine too. Visited on 11 Dec 2022 (Sun) we ordered about 8 dishes for 4 pax. Total bill came to about 1460 baht

Very good simple food. The way they make it is authentic even Kao Mun Gai is made the way it's supposed to. The coffee is also amazing in the morning(Bo ran Coffee), the price is also amazing even if they up charge a bit I wouldn't mind. I recommend this for a quick breakfast place.

Tried the chicken rice for lunch. It was good. Rice was fragrant and not too oily, while the chicken meat was moist.

One of the best Thai food experience I ever had. Authentic flavours, great price, however it's extremely popular so you will need to wait for table, open for dinner 5:30pm to 7:30pm only, breakfast is great too, open from 6:30am with wide selection of food from street vendors and nice Vietnamese style coffee....

You can find Thai-style breakfast in the early morning as well. It was good with a reasonable price. Plus, you can buy a Pa-Thong-Ko just across the road (right in front of Grill and Chill), it was the best!!!
