Visited the elephant sanctuary and its not really a sanctuary there was 4 elephants chained up that's all staff was OK when we told them we only came to feed the elephant not ride them they became disinterested with us the elephants looked in good condition though so we fed them some banana's and fed the young one some cucumbers we visited her as rated well on trip advisor but would not recommend it really sad to see such amazing animals chained to a spot we at least we know they are quite well fed we also fed the catfish they have in there pond this was a crazy site few just a few pellets in the water an hundreds of catfish everywhere in the pond this was nicer to see nice surroundings otherwise and a little cafe on site that is relatively cheap There is no entrance fee to get in here to feed elephants 100thb per basket of food goes very quick as you can imagine the fish pellets are only 20thb If you really must ride and elephant (I would not recommend), it starts at 800thb for 30 mins

We visited early and saw the trainer abusing a chained elephant. I choose not to take a ride. The elephant looked distressed . I did some research after thus trip. If you care for these magnificent animals I urge you to do the same . I won't be coming back.

So sad to see such beautiful creatures suffering from the chains on their feet. Wish I could buy this farm and convert it into an elephant resort where elephants roam freely and are relieved from their past abusive experiences. Lets start crowdfunding, People!

Do the people leaving good reviews here lack the sensitivity to see or empathy to care that these animals are in bad mental and physical shape? Shame that places like this still exist, elephants shackled by the ankle so they can hardly move 1m, rocking back and forth... and "dancing" with their keepers.

The sanctuary is small, at least of what we have seen. The people taking care of the animals are friendly. The area could be cleaned up since there was some dumped garbage. The elephant ride was joyful and maybe also a little scary. You can buy fruit baskets to feed the elephants. There is also a small restaurant where you can buy yourself a drink, not sure if they have food.

Elephant riding is a horrible exploitive practice that causes long term stress and PTSD on the animals. It also causes their back to be deformed overtime. Please don't support businesses like this.

We visited the Elephant Village today. We dont believe in riding elephants but we feed them and that is something special to interact with them. The elephants are well cared for here. Afterwards we had coffee and a bite tp eat, very relaxing.

The beautiful elephants were treated well and left a good impression. We didn’t see any scars, etc on the skin. During the tour the elephants could take breaks for snacks and were not in a hurry. A lot of water and shadow is provided. Our kid found it very enjoyable.

not pleasant , a couple of tired leg chained elephants with apathetic mahouts trying to sell you stuff. not for animal lovers. a lake of some interest, fun to feed the fish, and exciting seeing a crocodile

A natural, nice and quiet place to relax. You can feed the elephants as well as riding them ! It also has a nice seating area which offers drinks and delicious food. Recommended ! Ps. the village is a bit hard to find. You need to go through the temple.

Beautiful place, reasonably priced cafe. Elephant rides were 600b for kids/800b per adult and really enjoyable, you can also buy souvenirs (all ethical) and feed the elephants. The kids really enjoyed it (and us adults too!) There used to be loads of elephants in the village but now there isn't because of Covid hitting Thailand hard... Hopefully they can rescue more in the future and keep them safe ❤️🔮

What this family has sacrificed for these Elephants is amazing. They are a family run operation. For more than 2 years they have done everything they can to keep the Elephants fed. Without the donations from locals these beautiful Elephants would have starved. Most of the Elephants have been raised from cubs. They could never survive in the wild. When visiting Elephant Village please thank the staff for all they have done, given up, and personal sacrifice for the love of the Elephants. When tourists return, I hope they can experience these beautiful beasts provide.

This is an interesting attraction, great experience with friendly giant elephants and lovely people. The kids will be delighted to see elephants, interact with them. Elephant riding is a special experience not to miss. Service and accommodation for airy guests.

Nice little place to see, feed, and ride elephants. Not too far from the city center, but would be easiest to get there by car. Also has a small cafe for you to buy drinks and watch elephants walk around or being fed by tourists. The rides are 30 - 60 minutes each, and there is usually a queue to ride. About a 0.5 - 2 hour visit, depending on if you ride the elephants or not.

Had a very nice time here. Spent about an hour and was very pleased. If you want to ride the elephants it’s 800 baht for 30 minutes. 100 baht for a basket to feed them. 200 baht for a picture and we bought a bracelet as well. We went when it first opened at 9:30am and no one was there. By the time we left the tour buses were pulling up. It was very relaxing and a good place for kids. If you ever been around a farm/ranch with animals that work then this is what it’s like here. Basically, beasts of burden and these elephants look like they are fed well. Just because they work doesn’t mean they are being abused.

Make sure to bring cash for payment. The shop didn't carry bananas for elephant snacks at the time of our visit but baskets of sugar cane instead.

Worth a visit if you want to take an elephant ride, we went just to feed the elephants, 100 baht for a basket of vegetables. The lack of tourists must be hitting places like this dependent on elephant rides for their revenue.

The elephants looks pretty distressed and nervous. They were chained which looked pretty sad. The staff was very pushy to buy food and give tips. Would not recommend.

This place is for elephant ride and feeding. One banana basket will cost around 100THB and 30 minutes ride will cost around 800 THB. One hour ride will cost 1200 THB.

The reviews for this place scared me but my experience was much different. From what I saw, elephants were well taken care. We went on a 30 minutes ride and saw wild pigs, iguanas, cows and chickens. The ride took us through the jungle and water. At the end, we fed the elephants. The rider asked for a tip to take photos and it was well worth it. He was a great photographer. Go warly and avoid the heat.

I've never been a big fan of elephant sanctuaries and elephant parks or anything like that. I've always been kind of scared of elephants but a friend of mine promised me that this is a good experience and dragged me along. We stopped and got fruits and vegetables for the elephants but they had some there ypu can buy for 50 baht. It was a very nice experience it's something that I'll never forget and I'll always visit when I come back in town. I've seen miss treated elephants before and these elephants are definitely not mistreated. When you go here you will see them chain but you'll notice that there is no marks around where they are chained. that's there for your safety because the male does get a little jealous of the female. But all in all it is a safe place and very fun and a great place to visit.

Visit the elephants. Buy a basket of food and feed them. As easy as that. Or you can pay for a ride up the hill track on one. Also visit the small cafe here for cold drinks and watch them being fed or walked.

I keep coming back just to feed the elephants. I don't ride because its not my thing...but they are very beautiful and majestic creatures...they understand what you say and always enjoy the food they get. Brilliant experience for the short time you are there

The woman who runs this park is really friendly. Its a very natural environment but sadly the road in is a bit rough. Staff are great and elephants had larger than life personalities. Feeding elephants banana's is something you need to see first hand. So gentle but strong. Feeding the fish is an unbelievable experience. They come from nowhere, thousands.

What magnificant anamals. What an experience! A must if visiting Hua Hin You can tell the trainer cares deeply for the elephant. The big boy, PoThong wanted to stop and have a feed, i thought the owner would get cross, but he just laughed and said they do what they want 🤣 who am i to argue.

It was pretty cool, but I suggest you anyone thinking to come and doesn't have idea about how things work here, you better spray on yourself mosquito repellent. And keep in mind, sometimes they might have some pressure which forces them to reduces the duration of the ride from an hour to 30 mins depending on the crowd. I loved the experience and i highly recommend it.

Go with travel agency if you want to enjoy the elephants. I have had couple of very nice experiences before, but when I went without any travel agency guides the experience was very disappointing and sad. The lady behind the counter seemed bored but was pretty polite to us and sold us a 30-minute trip. The elephant "driver" seemed annoyed with us before we did anything. After five minutes he said that he can take photos "for a good tip" wich jas previously been free. We promised a tip and he took couple of photos. After another five minutes or so, he stopped the elephant and took "jewelry" box out to sell them to us, telling us he can't feed his family or something like that. After we told him we do not buy the jewelry, he seemed very unhappy and complained that he cannot even feed the elephant. After I told him we promised him a good tip for the photos, the situation seemed to calm down and he took us back to the village. Trip was max. 15 minutes long and costed much and the whole trip was filled with money-begging. At the elephant village we bought bananas to feed to the elephant, which was nice but the cost was pretty high compared to the amount of bananas we got. The experience left me feeling sad and I felt like I was almost robbed. I could not enjoy the elephants without hearing how I am the reason elephants are starving. The two stars are for the previous experiences when travel agency was there so we could not be taken advantage of and because elephants are taken good care of. Our elephant could stop and eat while we were riding, we were not in a hurry. Would not recommend.

This is a small village that homes 4 elephants, including 1 young. We were able to feed them by buying a basket of fruit for 100 baht. You are also able to ride 1 elephant, but we didn't that time. There is also a lake with lots of catfish that you can feed when you buy the food.

Huge elephant park. Maybe 5-6 elephants including a male elephant with tusks. There's a coffee shop where you can get coffee and look at the elephant for free. 100b to feed the elephants corn or 20b to feed the fish. 800b to ride the elephant for 30mins for an adult and 400b for children.

Do not visit here if you care about animal welfare even one bit. The elephants are chained up, standing in one spot all day unless being ridden, which damages their spine (and the wooden chairs rub on their backs, causing blisters). When you ask the staff why they are swaying, they say “they are dancing because they are happy”. Elephants only sway when they are captives (wild elephants do not display this behaviour) and because they are distressed, bored and understimulated. These beautiful animals are so intelligent and social, to see them chained up with no open space to wander around was upsetting and distressing. We left immediately after seeing the elephants because we didn’t want to spend any money here or encourage the this business.
