The Historic Park can be accessed by a short cable car ride and is actually spread across three summits along the hillside requiring some uphill walking between each. Try to go early, it's very tiring walking this site in 31C heat. What is now the Museum was previously the Palace of a King Rama IV who eatablished this place in 1859, no photos allowed inside. You should visit all parts of this site, the Phra Kaew Noi Temple, Jatuwech Pariphat Hall and the Great White Pagoda. I love the way these buildings have been laid out in the beautiful surroundings of Shrubs and Tropical vegetation. The Cable Car costs 50 Baht return ticket and entrance to the Historic Park is 150 Baht, which includes the Museum/Palace. I travelled up from Hua Hin for the day, but this one place alone was worth the trip.
