Hua Hin Hospital

Doctor Government hospital

😠 A hospital where you have to wait all day to get to talk to the doctor, eventhough the hospital made an appointment. The nurse was not polite at all and the service was far worst. If i could give 0 star I wouldn't need to think about it. People often mention hospital, doctor, staff, service, appointment, test, pain, minutes,

OK this is not an easy hospital to navigate but some staff can speak English if jot use translation for your department. 1. Register at window 1 with passport 2. Request doctor you want 3. They issue you with a card go to that department directions are not clear but signs are in English too give them the card and take your blood pressure 3.they will give you an appointment time. Urology is only on Tuesday and Thursday FYI. Haven't gone through the payment process yet will update when I do. I'm quite happy so far but would definitely be very tired if I was fairly sick as alot of walking around. There is the premium clinic option too. 5th floor of building 2.

I was here for my PCR test, Fit to Fly, in order to fly back to Japan. I have already mentioned to them through phone calls so many times that I need my certificate in English there was literally no communication between team. Luckily I checked my receipt that the certificate was in Thai and asked them to changed they react back with attitude. Also, the staff are never on time lack of politeness and use too much phone. If you hate someone bring them to this hospital. Yes it's cheap but you get what you pay.

Admitted because of acute dehydration, later diagnosed with salmonella infection. EA Service were attentive and excellent. Perhaps because I came on a Sunday when it was fortunately not too busy. I was promised a private room but 5 days on , nothing. The general wart (a large area divided in 3 open spaces)was overcrowded with additional beds and patience lined up in the corridor. The sounds whistles and buzzers of various monitors all around you could well have been in the center of a fairground making sleeping difficult. evidently there was no sign of ward visitors discipline .10 or more visitors together around one bed it’s not unusual adding to the existing decibels. The staff are not particularly friendly as they give the impression they’re not happy in their job that was evident to me by one or two nurses I approached directly. The medics, mostly fresh from university whom had to further their career, roaming around with all the paperwork and would like you to believe that they can walk on water, didn’t make any serious effort to interact with the patients , they clearly hadn’t any chance because of the sheer volume of paperwork However, it is painful to watch each doctor carting files and documents on every individual patient that has to be manually completed in order to satisfy the bureaucratic system. One wonders if laptops have ever been sought off. The hospital itself is very poorly and amateurish designed lacking many amenities. On my ward , ( Male internal medicine department 6 floor) separated by a lower dividing walls , 32 men/women share 3 toilets and 3 bathrooms neither of them were particularly clean and very dated, tiled floors. (I had memories of similar Calcutta Intnl. Airport) in the 80’s With the Thai’s ability to build fantastic, super modern efficient hospitals. It is a wonder that this monstrosity is still standing and functioning.Perhaps that is one of the re ason why the staff in general aren’t very happy working there. My admiration and respect goes out to the professional staff having to work under extreme difficult circumstances. In the final analysis they diagnosed my gastric problem at 2% of total costs , that St.Paulo with 3 different attending doctors were unable to do. Come on Hua Hin you’re are a flourishing and Prospering town , attracting many overseas visitors and investments both nationally and internationally, you can and should do better for the for the sake of the workers and your future health care.

We were on holidays in Hua Hin in December 2021 and were asked to go to this hospital to take day 5 -7 PCR test. I was surprised that we were not given a choice as we wanted to go privately as opposed to a local hospital. I totally sympathize with the hospital staff being overwhelmed with a demand of these tests for tourists as well as their daily duties. However, my low rating is towards the staff conducting the PCR test. It was shockingly painful as I felt they were taking swab of the brain as opposed to the nose. But the worst thing was that they did the same to my 3 year old child. Despite saying I want to do it myself for my child, but they said if I do it it's not valid despite saying they can supervise. My child was in excruciating pain. I don't understand how they can handle children on par with adults, surely children require a more delicate touch.

I had a suspected dislocated hip (turned out to be a severe muscle sprain), but this place is the nuts. Took a taxi, was straight into A+E in a wheelchair, seen by nurses straight away, taken into have an x-ray in 10 minutes, results 10 minutes later, medication 5 minutes after that. I come from the UK, and this experience would have been 6-12 hours, instead it took around 30 minutes total. It cost me 1032B including all pain medication. Unreal.

I've done a appointment in the Special Medical Clinic, House 2, 5th Floor, specially for Foreigners is open from Monday to Thursday between 16.30 and 20.30, Friday closed, Saturday and Sunday between 08.00 and 14.00. If you not willing to stay in endless Queue, go there. Is slightly more expensiv, but its worth......and they are english speaking!

I had a hip operation at the beginning of the year. I have nothing but good things to say about this hospital, the quality of care was excellent. Cleanliness would put a lot of western hospitals to shame.

I had sudden abdominal pain and vomiting and was rushed into this hospital's ER department on one night at 1am. The doctor and nurses could speak english. Passport is needed for registration. Registration was quick which was important as I was in great pain at the time. I was given some IV painkillers and have my blood extracted soon after rolling into the ER room. Then I was sent to the X Ray room to take x-ray of my abdomen. After waiting for around an hour or so for the blood test the pain subsided and the doctor said she could not find anything serious like bowel obstruction so I was discharged with some medicine at 4am. The whole ordeal costed me around 2300 Baht which is not too costly and I am ok with that, as abdominal pain can be very deadly. One thing that I hope the hospital could improve is the sanitation. There were many flies and mosquitoes in the permises which presents a health risk to the patients.

Forget getting here early to queue. They take patients in LIFO (last-in-first-out) order for getting Covid shots. But, once in, it's quick and efficient.

Very unorganised. We arrived to get a PCR test and didn't know where to go. There were several long lines in front of the hospital. After 15 minutes we were asked to switch to a different line (which was the longest). 30 minutes passed and the line doesn't seem to be shortened, we left and go to a different hospital.

Turned away at the door because there was not a single doctor available on a Sunday. Ridiculous.

I called for information. Not emergency. Asked in thai, if they spoke English. Was told yes and then hung up on 3 times. Very very very rude. My wife called to speak in thai and they hung up on our phone number. I have lived in Hua Hin 7yrs. Your current clerk is extremely unprofessionl.

SMC (Premium service) Level 5. Unbelievably sloppy service for a premium service. Organization is non existent. I came 2 months ago to see the doctor about a stomach issue. I had a CT scan at BKK booked, so the doctor advised me to do that and then come back to see him with the results. He booked that follow-up for the 31st of June at 9 am. ( I came for the appointment to find the SMC closed. They had only booked an appointment on a government holiday and no contact to change it or re-book). I was in disbelief, of course! It was determined that an endoscopy would be needed. But the specialist hasn't any appointments until 30th August (Today). I came up early for the appointment today, and I am still waiting 2 hours after the appointment time. It has not a very good experience with this so-called SMC premium service do far. Seems we have 2 choices ; Go to BKK hospital that's ran solely as a business and get ripped off by services and medications you don't really need. Or Accept the terrible service, impolite staff, and tolerate the incompetence at Hua Hin Hospital. After experiencing both hospitals over the last year, I have zero confidence in the health care system in Hua hin. Will update once the doctors decides to show up
