My boyfriend and I came here for an hour or so and we really enjoyed it! Really quiet and lots of specimens, both preserved and live. Staff were really nice and let us hold a few species and told us some information about them. The highlight was definitely the butterfly garden!

I love it. It has an amazing collection of insects, both death and alive, and you can touch some of them. It cost 100. You will spend 1 hour of amusement.

This place was great for the cost, so many insects and information! Good way to spend a couple hours. There was also ability to hold them and lizards, and see some tortoises! Only downfall we’re some of the cages for lizards were small and unappealing.

A fun place to visit whether you brought your kids on you trip to northern Thailand, or if your just a single guy or girl. It is mostly an educational setting, as the inside of the insect zoo has many poster displays highlighting native and invasive insect species to northern Thailand. The outside is extremely hands on, the staff are friendly and encourage visitors to pet and handle all sorts of insect we may not otherwise want to touch! Definitely worth the price of admission! Not too far from Chiang Mai, if this is where you are staying while on your holiday.

(Translated by Google) The small place is not very big but includes insects from all over the world to see and study. Children like it very much because some species are hardly found in nature. As well as catching various animals in life, so much fun Recently, there aren't many people. The staff have time to advise us fully. Who comes to Chiang Mai with children? Recommend here Travel is not difficult. Convenient parking Drive out of the city for less than 30 minutes.

It is very interesting and very clean. Unfortunately you must pay for Shuttle BUS, 🐼, Aquarium.......extra money. Take enough cash money with yourself so that you can pay the driver when you get back to your hotel.

It's not a big place but has a lot to learn and play with invertebrates. Staff was very friendly and child centered. We should have this kind of museum or educational center all over the country. It doesn't really have to always be animals. Kids get hands on experience. By the way, you can also take an iguana home with you.

That's what's beautiful: - The place is located on a beautiful lawn with great views - I really liked the pumpkin and mushroom soups. Perhaps of those I have had in Chang Mai this is the best, so the soup is 10/10 What I didn't like: - The pizza was a big disappointment, and although they have a wood-fired oven (everything you need for pizza), the dough was wet and soft. There was no crust. - We were alone (another couple came in 20 minutes after we ordered), but we got everything we ordered in 40 minutes (the last one was pizza). As for prices, we can say that this place is in the middle price segment. Overall nice place to visit to have some memory but do I want to go there more and more? Maybe only for pumpkin soup 😅

Make a stop here if you like insects/spiders/reptiles. The owner was passionate about the museum, very good exhibit, the part where you can see (and sometimes touch) the live bugs really was amazing.

This zoo is cool apart from the dual pricing for foreigners :/ the butterfly inclosure is cool I loved the displays as I walked in and at first I thought they seemed to care about the animals as they didn’t let me hold the caterpillars as the cream on my hands could harm them BUT as we got near to the end there was a box of about 6 bearded dragons no water provided no food one of them seemed to have pretty severe nose rub and the one they let us hold was extremely lethargic almost seemed like it’d been drugged? There were two scorpions we could hold and I’m 99% sure one of them was dead I’m no reptile expert but they seemed to be kept in quite small cages if you’re not from Thailand do not tip as they overcharge you anyway.

This is a fantastic place to visit especially for children. Really well presented, clean and tidy. A small museum followed by live exhibits including a beautiful butterfly garden. The zoo is really interactive with lots of things to do and animals to touch. The staff are really friendly and knowledgeable. All the insects and animals are incredibly well cared for. There is also a lovely little gift shop with very reasonable prices they also sell snacks and drinks. There is a coffee shop, and nice clean toilets . There is a car park and you can park on the street if that is full. The zoo is also quite accessible for the disabled , maybe not to UK standards but we managed very well with my mum in her wheelchair and the staff were brilliant with my brother who has autism.

Delightful panda experience. Although the exclosures do seem small for the size of the pandas, they do have a back area to move around in and exercise out of the public's view. It was the first panda the kids had seen, and they were very excited about that, especially after the Kung Fu Panda movies.

Excellent collection of insects and reptiles. First you go through an educational section with a variety of insects taxidermy, then you reach the live section which includes butterflies, spiders, glow-in-the-dark scorpions, turtles, iguanas and imported grasshoppers among others. Staff are there to help u to hold the animals if you are brave enough!

Visited on a Tuesday at around 1100 and we were the only visitors. The first couple of rooms are all preserved insects and quite the amazing collection. Next you walk into the actual "zoo". There is an extensive variety of live insects, spiders, etc to view through the self-guided part of the tour and was a lot of fun, although hot. As you approach the end of the self-guided portion you are met by some wonderful staff who will assist with holding live insects as well as some really cool reptiles! The gift shop is definitely something you would expect for a place like this.. Very interesting exhibits and the interactive portion towards the end was well worth the money.

I believe they no longer have dual pricing. I was asked if I lived in Chiang mai. After I showed my ID I was charged 80 baht and so was my Thai girlfriend. We both had an awesome time here. It exceeded my expectations. I was able to hold several lizards. If you have kids they will love it. Staff was amazing

absolutely FANTASTIC place to visit!! They have tons of insects on display, insects, you have never seen before and ones, you finally see in reality. Great collection of (alive) spiders, praying mantis, scorpions, and much much more. Absolutely worth the money! They have a big butterfly garden too, where you can relax and watch many fantastic butterflys flying around.

Lovely and educational place. It is a great place for family with small children. The place is not big but it packs with all kind of insect. The highlight of the place is that you can interact with all the insects. Staffs are well educated and they are ready to answer any questions that you may have. However the place is all outdoor so be ready if you plan to visit the place during summer time (April - June). In short, you can easily spend couple hours here if you come with kids.

Had a great time walking around this place. The three ladies working there made it even better, they were loads of fun and made the experiance one to remember. They had me holding and touching everything! From stick insects, to Millipedes, next were bearded dragons, Tortoise, Iguanas, beautiful praying mantis and last but not least were the Scorpions, it was great. The butterfly garden was nice and it was full of the them floating around. All in all, well worth the 200baht! If you are in the area give this place a visit.

We’ve got here late and the owner was so kind to let us in. Nice space with decent management that is perfect for children and families.

I had such a wonderful time here! The staff are so kind and we had fun holding some bugs and feeding some lizards. Also learnt so much about insects. It was wonderful to feel like a kid again! :-) Also great gift shop.

Very shocking. It is suitable for bringing children to visit. Although the place is not big, there are many varieties and can be studied for a long time.

Beautiful place. There is an insect museum where you can learn about different insects and see them preserved in boxes - insects from all over the world. Then there is a butterfly garden where you can walk through and take beautiful pictures. Then there's an area where you can see and touch lizards and spiders and scorpions. The souvenir shop even has some preserved butterfly wings as earrings which I found gorgeous! Toys and memorabilia for children as well.

The service provided is inconsistent. I rlly enjoyed the first time I visited so I decided to visit again. When I went the first time there were animals (scorpions, bearded dragons, stick insects, tarantula) displayed and staff tending the stations to let us interact with the animals. However when I visited again today, it was as though we weren’t there. No animals on display and the staff did not attend to us. I did wonder if it was because we went a bit earlier (9:45am, they open at 9am) but if that was the case they should not have sold tickets if they weren’t ready to have guests.

Great place. Very nice personal, very kind and friendly. The collection of insects they have is also huge. They also have a butterfly garden and staff lets you touch some of the insects but make sure that both you and bags are safe😃.They clearly care for them, which is very nice to see. It was a very interesting experience, I'm glad I went there. There are a lot of restaurants and cafes around that area too, so it could be a nice half day trip from the city center. And they have a small cute cafe at the zoo too.
