The Pala-U waterfall is about a 90 minute drive from Hua Hin. Like many Thai national parks, there is an entrance fee. 300 baht for foreigners. 100 baht for Thais and 40 baht for your car. Once you park, there first level of the waterfall is a very easy walk from the car on well maintained trails. The waterfall has 7 levels but beyond the second one, the trail becomes much more difficult and involves climbing over a lot of rocks. At some places, ropes are provided to help get over the rocks. One of the features of this park is the butterflies. They are everywhere. The water is full of fish as well. Do bring your own water and make use of the restroom as you enter the park because there are no facilities once you are inside. As you drive to the waterfalls, you will notice a section of the road that has some barriers you must drive around. These are to slow drivers down at an elephant crossing. If you look along the side of the road leading to the park, you will notice many examples of elephant droppings and you can see gaps in the forest on the side of the road where the elephants have made a path.

Visit there week ago. Entrance for foreigners Sam-roi baht. Kohn Thai Nueng-Roi Baht plus Sam-sib baht for car parking. All together 430 baht. Great environment, Nice oxygen. We just walked only first steps to waterfall. Can't go upstairs cause slippery with rainy season.

Nice place for photos, trails are rugged, not at all handicap accessible. If you need a wheelchair; don't even think about it. I went on the kings birthday, a Thai are free that day, Foreigners are 300 Baht, you will be approached and told to pay! I would rate it higher, but the aggressive manner that they point out Foreigners leaves a bad impression.

Multi level falls set in large national park. Shower and toilets at lowest level, where can also buy fish food. Literally hundreds of decent size fish at all levels. Level 2 easy walk, but second half to level 3 lot more tricky. We wanted to go to level 3 as told could swim there, but teaming hungry fish put us off. My more agile companion tried walking up to level 4 but quickly gave up. Lovely scenery in canyon, we got there early around 10 30 and had place to ourselves, met others on return walk.

Amazing must-visit place when in Hua Hin. Butterflies and powerful flowing river water are just two of the many highlights. The drive in is spectacular. Smooth roads and not overly busy when we visited, and amazing views with mountains all around. Bring a few supplies because not many shops along the way.

Amazing! This waterfall is very nice and much more than I expected. I recommend to prepare a good pair of cross training shoes because the walk way is very slippery and some area is wet. The best period of this waterfall tracking starts from November to March.

If you visit I highly recommend training shoes with good grip as it is very slippery in places. It is an incredibly beautiful place loads of butterfly's and and the water is teaming with fish which you can feed as they sell fish food. Differently a place to just stop and take in all the beauty and spot any wildlife.

It’s open 08:30 - 16:30. 320bht for tourist. You need some document to prove that you have been vacinated. There is also a small groceryshop where you can buy snacks and drink. Also toilet.

Short buy difficult hike to the waterfall through very slippery and uneven trail. Highly recommend good hiking shoes. We went right after heavy rainfall, the trail was wet and slippery. The water fall was very beautiful. The river had lot of fishes, and it looks like they are used to people feeding them. I didn't understamd why the park sold fish food to the visitors, when most parks discourage people from feeding the wild, this one seems to be doing just the opposite.

At present time only 5 levels of the 14 are accessible. that being said this is very strenuous hike. I was not planning on going up to 5 levels since I did not have proper shoes. Went to level 1 with flip flops(not a good idea). It's beautiful place and when return will attempt a few more levels

I think this place is overrated. Overall the place is beautiful but not worth the price (for foreign) and the time of driving to there. Foreign pay 300 bhat for one person waill local pays 70 bhat! The gap is insane! And you need to add 30 bhat for car fee, little money but to get there by car is the only option.. I don't recommend

This is an amazing waterfall with a long hiking trail up a hill. The area is very beautiful and clean with a lot of wildlife around. Butterflies, bees, fish. There are also signs that say that there should be monkeys too, but there weren't any when I was there. The waterfall is very nice, refreshing and clean too.

Great walking up to the 4th level. Access beyond that in disrepair. Rope had snatched and water was too fast to cross river without it. Swimming was impaired by masses of hungry nibbling fish.

Beautiful waterfalls in 5 levels. Only level 1 for people not walking well. We returned at level 3 with two little kids. Lots of possibilities to go into the water. Everywhere there are fish you can feed. At the entrance there are toilets and Mama to eat. There is an entrance fee but I don't know how much.

It's pretty convenient to drive there. Altho a bit far from Hua Hin but this place can be a good day-trip getaway. We went during weekend but it's not crowded at all. Nature is still pretty much preserved. Food is only allowed on the first level. Whwn we went there, they only allowed visitors to hike up to Level 5 due to security reason. If you want to feed the fish, but the fish food from ticket counter.

It's a tough hike up to the falls. But when u get there its nice. Summer is best time to go. And u must wear strong shoes/trainers sandals won't cut it. You must be physically fit . Seriously you must be fit as the path is treacherous sometimes with ropes to hang onto as you traverse slippy boulders. Take some fish food. You can spend hours being entertained by the fish. You can swim in some of the larger pools. Come early as when dusk comes it's a nightmare getting back. No lights or guides to help u. They do not take your details before u go in for nothing...

Highly recommend getting some fish food at the entrance to feed the carps. Beautiful waterfalls, water is cold and ideal to cool down from the heat. Foreigners pay more than Thai, like in most other parks in the country.

Beautiful waterfall to visit. We did not swim because of the many fish in the water. The waterfall is devided in 5 levels you can climb. I advise to put on walking shoes or good sneakers and don't go if its raining. Its a good climb through nature. Can not advise to go up with young kids or not-fit adults.

น้ำตกป่าละอู, Pa La-U waterfall is located in the densely verdant forest in the area of Kaeng Krachan national park where various kinds of birds and butterflies are found, especially in the morning. The Road leading to Pa La-U Waterfall is stunning, as the road winds over the Kaeng Krachan National Park Mountains and it is not unusual to see trampled down trees by the side of the road after wild Elephants has walked through and if you are lucky you can even see this majestic animals idling on the road. Unfortunately, I saw only elephant dung😅 all the way up. (Pretty sizeable😆) The Pal La-U Waterfall has 5 levels that are open to the public. Some levels of the waterfall can be reached along a Trekking trail parallel to the stream. The best time to watch butterflies is from 7.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. • Admission fees • Parking • Restroom Location: Mu 2 Huai Sat Yai Hua Hin Prachuap Khiri Khan 77110

The water fall contains 15 levels. The real nature has still preserved there. However, the path to deep levels were too blended with the surrounding nature. The signs were unclear and some were missing. Easy to get lost if no other people around for both back and forth.

Wonderful place to visit but the fee of 300 THB per person for Expats is really too high, you must pay extra 30 THB for your car. You need good shoes, some places are sleeping.

Kaunis vesiputous. Eivät kyllä pure joten uiminen on mahdollista. Vesi ihanan kylmää ja makeaa. Upeita perhosia jokapuolella. Parkkipaikalla on pieni kanttiini mistä voit ostaa juomaa, evästä ja kalanruokaa. Myös wc löytyy sieltä. Matkalla sinne voit nähdä villinorsuja, varsinkin iltaisin niitä on siellä. Ruokapaikaksi suosittelen "Khrua Chai khao restaurant" ravintolaa, siellä on listalla paikallista villisikaa ja peuraa. Hinta on keskitasoa ja ravintolasta aukeaa ihanat vuoristo maisemat (kts kuvat).

Scenic streams and waterfalls .. As it was drizzling, it was challenging to track uphill with wet and slippery terrain, thus we only managed the reach level 3 of 5 level of the waterfalls. In my opinion, visit on a wet day is not advisable.

Nice place to be! The street up there are under construction so be careful! The beautiful thing about the way up there that you are allowed to drive only 30km/h because of wild elephants. So maybe you can see them when you get up there. The way up to the waterfalls is a really nice hiking. You have ropes so it is save. You are always swimming with wild fish but they are really trustful and swim to you. I liked it. And there are not that many people as I aspect! But you have to pay 300bath for the scooter and 50bath each person so you can take the road to drive to the waterfalls.

Beautiful nature experience. Feeding the carps is really fun! The hike up to level 2 is okay. Don't go after rain. It is very slippery. There is a grocery store at the entrance.

Quit dangerous to go to level 5, there are no warning sign of the level of danger. Some parts are very slippy and not save to take on a tourist trip. . Do wear good shoes and make sure both hands are free as you need to hold and clim with the use of both hands. Not possible to see the real waterfall, this is sad as the whole point to go there is to see the huge waterfall. Double entry fees again 300tb tourists, 60 tb thai. The place is far away but the nature around it is great. On the way it seems possible to see some wild elephants too

very nice place for a little hike. Level 1-3 ok for all. from level 4 not suitable for older people. clean and groomed. Tourists pay 300THB entrance Thais 60THB, I found it very nice and refreshing to swim there if the many trusting fish don't bother you

Don’t go there in the rainy season. The rocks are very slippery and there are not enough safety lines. It’s very dangerous. We could only walk until Level 2. After 40 minutes we had to leave the area. Wasting time. The park official could take care a bit better.
