This is a free admission museum. I suggest this to be the first location when you visit Lampang. You would know more history before you start the journey. I think they can totally charge because the information and environment are exceptional. Almost everything provides English translations. A foreigner friendly environment.

Very interesting, modern, informative exhibition. Well worth visiting!

Small museum but very interesting and informative. History of the early inhabitants is outlined, along with the history of the newcomers (British, Burmese, Chinese). Also an interesting exhibit explaining the subtle differences between dialects of the region (no wonder my rudimentary Bangkok language skills don't get me far up north!) Many interactive exhibits geared towards children, with most writings translated into English. Plan on 30 to 60 minutes here, depending on how much reading you like to do in museums. More if your children are engaged. The museum is free to enter.

Very informative museum about the history and culture of Lampang. Everything is translated in English and the entrance is free. Recommended if you visit Lampang.

A great place to visit and lots of fun for the children. Many interesting exhibits for adults as well. All of the English is very well done.

Before visit any temple or other places you should visit this museum first. Is small and free and you will understand everything about the city and places.

Really well laid out museum with interesting exhibits. Super informative and definitely worth learning about the historical significance that Lampang held in 'Siam'. It was particularly interesting to learn about how multi-cultural Lampangs' roots are.
